My wife and I wanted to relax in Ukraine, we chose the warmest place in the Carpathians, Berehove, and also read about local thermal waters.
In the car and on the road. Road Kharkiv - Berehove, 4 (on a five-point scale) went on Saturday, perhaps that's why it's not very busy. Thanks to the reviews on the Internet, we decided in advance to choose the Zhaivoronok hotel. It was not possible to get through to the hotel in the evening from home, the phones were not answered. The room was booked by phone on the road, a pleasant female voice said that all standard rooms were booked and only suites remained at 480 and 540 UAH.
Agreed booked, arrived asked to show the rooms in the first "suite" for 480 UAH. as reported by a pleasant female voice, it is a bit dark (the existing window from the outside is bricked up in connection with the construction of a new building). In the "suite" above it, the view from such a window opened onto the wall of the new building and the roof directly below the window was asked if there were other rooms. Other rooms were but for 540 UAH. Looked agreed, clean, almost new furniture, fresh bedding and towels, WI-FI in the room. They began to make out, they ask for money in advance for the entire stay, explaining that there were cases. Credit cards are not accepted, confidentially informing that the money in the bank is the owner, and cash is cash. The restaurant is a separate issue, breakfast is not included in the room rate, credit cards are not accepted, the kitchen is based on the principle “where are you going”, I join all the negative reviews, in short, LONG, EXPENSIVE, BAD. The pool is quite civilized, a visit for a day is cheaper to pay at the hotel (20 UAH). Thermal water seriously spoils swimwear, bought cheap ones here, unfortunately, after ruining the good ones. I really liked the "jacuzzi" thermal water 40-42 gr. and air currents, and liked the hydromassage in the indoor pool. In the outdoor pool with fresh water, they clearly save on water treatment, the walls are covered with green moss. Unfortunately, the bathhouses do not work “temporarily”, but I think it is solely due to the greed of the owners, possibly associated with the construction. By the way, builders, bulldozers, excavators wake up around 6-30, and with them all the residents of the hotel. Very "convenient" no need for an alarm clock. Despite all of the above, Zhayvoronok is the best place to stay in Berehove.
