Hotel "Polonina" - located at the foot of Mount Dragobrat - one of the most popular ski regions in Ukraine. The hotel is a modern 4-storey building built in 2007. For vacationers there is a sauna with a swimming pool, a fireplace room, ski rental, a lounge with a sofa on each floor. A great place to relax, both with the family and for a large friendly company.More →

we lived together with my husband. (in the zero room on the 2nd floor) pros: 1. pros:

4. were in the sauna (300 UAH per hour) everything is ok, except that they sold jerky in packs (which was overdue! for a couple of years! which were).
5. the food is so-so, without frills. but for this money it was normal. the meat was (cue balls, stew, cutlets.
6. there was always hot water, it was hot in the room
7. drying for shoes and boards of norms.
(only glasses were taken from the equipment, and then they changed a couple of times since it was impossible to ride in some)
8. refrigerator in the room. (It didn’t freeze very much, but meat and cheese were stored there)
9. accessibility to yokes 1min
minuses
1. there is no sound insulation at all. (you can hear how all the neighbors go to the toilet, and how their knees crunch)))
2. Mattress-springs dig into the ribs
the conclusion is the hotel is normal as for your money. There are more pluses than minuses.
if we go next year, maybe there too)
since conditions were worse that year in Yulia, and 500 UAH per person.

I think the hotel is suitable for families with children, as ski lifts and multi-lifts are very close. In general, the location is not bad. But who needs chair lifts, you are definitely not here! Getting to the chairlifts in all the ammunition is not the most pleasant, you need to climb a sharp hill. Things that got in the way of our vacation: - Broken mirror in the room - The bed did not give freshness - The quality of the food is very low (this is of course important for those who follow their diet) the food is all in oil, I had to soak it with napkins to eat it : ( for breakfast 4 fatty pancakes with jam and tea, somehow inferior (Tea like at school, water with sugar -The lighting in the room is very dim, and there is not enough additional lighting (it is important of course not for everyone) - The shower holder is broken, fell on my head. … More ▾ I think the hotel is suitable for families with children, as ski lifts and multi-lifts are very close.

- Few sockets in the room
you either watch TV or charge your phone
I understand the hotel was built in 2002, then the need for outlets was less.
But now it's worth buying adapters for each room,
because when people come to the resort, everyone has a mobile, which is put on charge every night, a camera, sometimes a laptop
and two sockets in the room and one in the toilet for three people are critically lacking!

We booked a hotel room literally 10 days before the vacation, so we chose from what was on our dates. As a result, Polonina and Dragobrat. Not very convenient that with the move, but there were no other free rooms.
So Polonina. We arrived at about 11 o'clock, the room was already ready, cleaned. The room is quite spacious, it has three beds, a hanger, a wicker bookcase and a refrigerator (everything is in the photo on this site). There is also a bathroom with a shower. Everything is beautiful, clean, the bed is ironed. The price includes breakfast and dinner (9-00 and 18-00) We were fed deliciously. I liked the fact that the food has a national bias - mushroom soup with homemade noodles, potato pancakes with mushroom sauce, pancakes with cottage cheese . .
We also ordered a bath (300 UAH 1 hour, designed for about 6-8 people). Directly from the steam room dived into the snow!
I can't help but mention the drying room where we left our skis and boots overnight. in another hotel we had to dry all the shoes on the radiator in the room, can you imagine what the air was like there in the morning?
Summarizing everything written, I want to say. We liked. Perhaps too good audibility, and poor wi-fi, but the proximity of slopes and ski lifts, comfort in the room and delicious food more than outweigh this.
Regarding the friendliness of the staff: of course, we were not hugged at the meeting, but after leaving the room we were allowed to leave our things until the evening, before moving to the next hotel. "Friendliness" in this context is enough for me.
Next year we will go only to Polonina!

The first snow fell, and with it came memories of last year's ski season.
Rested on Dragobrat. Space, latitude, a lot of snow - no comparison with the garbage, too civilized Bukovel.
We stayed at the Polonyna Hotel.
At home cozy, quiet, warm, delicious and hearty food, as well as affordable price. The big advantage is that everything is close by: ski lifts and entertainment facilities.
In fact, everything you need for a good rest after skiing.
Special thanks to the hosts: Galina, Yuri and Michael.
This is not a hotel for those who need a room with jacuzzi and minibar, as there is only a sauna, shower, refrigerator, TV and Wi-Fi.
The price corresponds to the quality of all 100%.
In my opinion, it is better for me to come here twice than for this price to rent a room with all the benefits of a 5 (five) star hotel.
Have a good rest without injuries. Sergey.

I'll start with the number: It has everything that a person who came to ride needs. Warmly. It is difficult to set it up so that just warm water flows from the shower, and not cold or boiling water, but this is a trifle. If you do not drink until the morning and want to sleep in front of the gurney, and the neighbors still do not sleep, then you will hear everything they do, even pigeons on the roof if they are brought there. … More ▾ I'll start with the number:

For soundproofing - a solid 0.
Location:
from the hill you can immediately go down to the entrance to the hotel without quilting from the equipment. The ski lift is just two minutes walk. This made me very happy.
There is also a place to dry equipment.
Nutrition:
this is darkness . . if you don’t pay much attention to your diet, then maybe you won’t be so sad, but a week-old Olivier salad and 4 pancakes with jam for breakfast, for people who ride all day... this is already too much. They save on proteins, so take food with you, you won’t lose.
Breakfasts are served at 9:00, although the lift opens just at that time. Well, at least they made concessions and let us eat a little earlier. If you need something, the people working there will help. Attitude towards tourists is slightly above average. I was especially pleased that we were allowed on the last day (when we were already supposed to leave) to leave things in the bathhouse, ride for a day and then wash ourselves, for which special thanks to them.
IMHO the second time I will not go there, food is very important for me. Who cares about it and he goes with his big company, then the place is very pleasant in terms of price-quality ratio.

3. The staff is inadequate, but there is a girl there Nadezhda is a smart girl, all the rest are "Hug and cry. " Good morning no one will say. You feel like a freeloader there, like you came to visit at someone else's expense to live . .
4. The food upset me every day. shredded yesterday . . Another example: In the evening, rice with vegetables - in the morning a salad with crab sticks . . ((and that's not all. Add compote 10.00 UAH. a cup, I don’t want to talk about it anymore.
And don’t even hope for kindness and hospitality and Transcarpathian cuisine, forget it . . - you won’t see a smile, a greeting... you won’t see mushrooms, jam or meat ((
5 The cleanliness in the rooms is so-so, everything hastily . . , you can’t hear freshness from the bed . . wi fi is often turned off . .
6. Rent is not the best, there are better and cheaper . .
7. Conclusion: you can relax, only without their food and attention, renting only a room . .

When we arrived, we did not believe that these were the Carpathians! The food is not tasty and not enough, store-bought dumplings, pancakes for breakfast were served with a salad of crab sticks, why we didn’t understand it... for a child, they generally give half the portion (which is very wild for me) 4 cheesecakes for everyone, and 2 for a child -3 pieces are small, at the request of the children is it possible to have porridge with milk - they refused, they say there is no milk and we don’t do anything to order, after a whole day of rides the men were fed buckwheat and 2 small pieces of meat and no mushroom yushka, the rooms are warm, the garbage is really they didn’t clean it all the time, Wifi works relatively well, hospitality is “off the charts”, just the rental is so-so. … More ▾ When we arrived, we did not believe that these were the Carpathians! We were left with the impression that they do everything so they thought it was... The only huge plus is their location, next to the hill and the hut near. We dined in a cafe near the lower multi-lift, delicious, homemade dumplings and dumplings, not expensive, shish kebab skewer 250g - 60 UAH, chop really for the whole plate - 35 UAH. You can go to this hotel just to spend the night, but eat elsewhere))

If you want to get acquainted with delicious Carpathian cuisine, then you are definitely not in this hotel. the kitchen is quite average. You can eat delicious "U Stepana" and "U stogi" Dinners are still the norm, but breakfasts were sometimes surprising (Korean carrots, fatty pilaf and fried chicken, although once there were delicious cheesecakes. No coffee. Herbal tea). clearly lacking a host. There are no shelves in the bathroom. no hook. Garbage was never taken out in 5 days, the bed and towels were never changed. I also advise you not to take skis from these owners, it's better to just take them near the slopes. I also advise not to take a room that borders the sauna, as the walls are thin and audibility is very good.

The first impression was made when I booked the room, but instead of specifying my name, I was told that you need to transfer 30% of the total amount of accommodation. As a result, we were recorded as UAH 800. advance ». Funny, right))?
We arrived early at 9:30. Instead of "Hello" on the go - your rooms are still busy! But, thank God, they offered to go up to the second floor and sit in the dining room. At 11:00 we were settled. Since there was no light on Dragobrat that day, we managed to wash off the road only the next day.
Now about the number. Dirty bare walls (with a single picture, like a photo in a frame), cracked plaster, torn tulle, no curtains.
Although I was pleased with the mini-fridge and quite comfortable beds. The remote control from the TV in the room was not, as we were told: "Ah ...so it was broken ... " Here is a very logical explanation. As a result, the whole week the console was my husband)). Sound insulation is practically absent. At first we were startled by the sound of water running down the pipes in the bathroom. The bathroom itself is basically nothing… But somehow we managed to flood the neighbors below. Oops ...There were problems with the plumbing.
Now about food - for 6 days of our stay in "Polonyna" we were NEVER given the first, which would be at least some hint of meat. The portions are so small that I didn't even get enough, not that my husband. The first evening we were served potato and green bean soup, pancakes and compote. And as an indisputable rule - tea every morning, compote every night.
Nobody ever asked, maybe we want coffee ...
When we booked the room, we discussed that we would not order food for the child, because she is very picky about food. When the three of us came to dinner, we were indignantly asked: Are you three? ? ? Instead of clarifying: Maybe your child will need a separate meal? Of course, for an additional fee. But we did not receive such a share of attention. They fed their daughter with their portions (she eats dishes that do not contain greens, sauces, onions and carrots, mushrooms. Of the soups - chicken broth and soup with meatballs, again without onions and carrots). For lunch we went to the cafes of the neighboring hotels "Dragobrat" and "In the stack". There are large portions, and delicious.
On the fourth day of our vacation, new vacationers arrived, they, like everyone else, were offered buckwheat with "garlic" cutlets for breakfast. One of the girls said: I would eat soup. Do you have soup?
To which the answer was: Yes, the soup is with green beans ...! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! WE WERE GIVEN IT ON THE FIRST DAY OF OUR RESIDENCE!
That same day I was poisoned by something. I thought it was mulled wine. And on the last night, soup and horns with gravy and two tiny pieces of meat were served for dinner. I only ate soup because I took care of my stomach after the recent events. The man ate everything, the daughter ate vermicelli (the sauce was on the side, so there were almost no problems with eating). Two hours later, the daughter began to feel sick. . with all the consequences, another 3 hours later the same thing happened to her husband. In general, we all slept almost all night. All medicines were drunk. We didn't know what to do or where to go for help. Therefore, it is logical that first of all we called the hostess of the institution (it was about 11 o'clock in the evening). The man asked where she was. She replied that she was asleep. The man explained the situation. She replied: And what can I do, I have in the first aid kit only iodine, celery and adhesive tape. ! ! ! ! ! ! !!
How is that possible?
Knowing that it takes 40 minutes to get down the mountain by car to the nearest pharmacy in Yasin, the hotel first aid kit did not contain any adequate medication. As a result, all we managed to make a living - 2 cups of boiled water.
In the morning, the hostess almost beat in the chest, with the words - we have everything fresh! ! ! ! ! Although at that time I was very skeptical… I politely refused breakfast. Then the hostess informed me that the eviction before 12:00 and the point. We left this hotel with the confidence that we will never return to it.
Here is my verdict: unfortunately, in Polonyna you will not meet the famous Carpathian hospitality, understanding and any participation. The word SERVICE for them is probably something foreign and unknown. We have visited many institutions of this type in Ukraine and the Carpathians in particular, and therefore there is something to compare.
I really hope that after reading my review, the hosts will draw at least some conclusions.
