Almost a year has passed since we returned from Western Ukraine. Now, moving away completely from impressions and comprehending what I experienced, I decided to write my thoughts about that vacation.
I decided, because I myself am intensively combing the forums, preparing for the next trip, studying, reading, weighing . . And mentally I thank those who were not too lazy to spend time describing their trip with all its pluses and potential pitfalls. Moreover, describe in detail, substantiate your opinion with reason, and not get off with phrases such as "I won't go again", "sucks", etc.
Therefore, I decided to take up the keyboard (ehh, I would have taken up the pen earlier, oh, this progress)), so that the information presented here will help those who are thirsty for a good rest to orient themselves and spend a vacation productively for their own health (and wounded nervous system).
My opinion, of course, is not without a share of subjectivity (but how else? . . : ), but nevertheless . .

So. . .
Location:
The hotel is located on a hill, so the view of the surroundings is impressive (which is important, you need to relax and look too). The descent down on foot, directly to the village of Tyudiv, takes about 15-20 minutes to the bus stop.
How to get there (for vacationers from Russia):
Better (and cheaper, and closer) - from the city of Kolomiya by taxi (40-50 minutes), an alternative option - from Ivano-Frankivsk, also by taxi (1.5 hours). Transfer can be booked at the hotel. I don’t advise you to take a taxi at the stations - like at any other stations, they charge exorbitant prices. I still have business cards of local taxi drivers - if anyone needs it, write to e-mail. mail (see below) - I will throw off the phones. Phone and negotiate with them, IMHO, the most budget option.
Prepayment:
It is NOT required that it is good to eat : ) Guys are self-confident, they value the client, they do not cling to him, like a drowning person to a buoy (as, for example, on the South Coast). Pay on the spot upon arrival.
Rooms:
Correspond to the photos on the site. Without any frills, but neat, they cleaned up, into my being there, every day. Furniture, in my opinion, can be more fun to pick up . . : ) However, this in no way interferes with rest, since everything you need is in the room.
Nutrition:
Own restaurant in Sokilsk is not cheap for Ukraine as a whole, and even more so for local prices . . 1000-1500 Russian rubles at Moscow prices for two. BUT! ! He justifies his price. They cook delicious, everything is fresh (which is important in our age of disposable clothes and reusable food). There is a private farm near the hotel, where geese, chickens roam peacefully, pigs sleep in blissful bliss.

If it’s still non-budgetary - in Vizhnitsa (10 minutes by car from Sokilsk) there is a private cafe (probably loudly said : ) - a residential building, in the attic - several rooms with tables, prepared by the hostess herself . . Dumplings, dumplings, lard, potato pancakes - it's all there. Drink some wine. .
Also in Vyzhnitsa there is a restaurant "Merchant's House". Do not regard it as an advertisement, we just dined there, so I mention it . . The prices are low, the food is delicious, there are few people, calm, and what else do you need?... Just order Ukrainian dishes, not some linguine or tuna otoro . . You are in Ukraine, after all : )
By the way. . . When, after a hearty Ukrainian meal, drunk vodka (or horseradish) you want to get from Vyzhnitsa to your hotel, GOD FORCE you tell the local Vyzhnitsa taxi drivers that you are going to Sokilsk. . . The price soars in front of your eyes by 5-10 TIMES! Speak more democratically - "to Tyudiv", and already upon arrival in the village show the driver the way to Sokilsk yourself . . And everything will work out . . Checked! Don't repeat other people's mistakes : )
Entertainment:
Carpathians. . . Hiking. Probably better with a guide, this service is available there. Finally find a salamander, look how beautiful this reptile is! Just do not touch with your hands - the secret of her skin glands is poisonous.
For thrill-seekers - paragliding . . Try it - enough impressions for the rest of your life : )
Go to Chernivtsi (we did not like the city, they say - Ukrainian Venice, but there is little in common, IMHO), Lviv - here is the atmosphere of an ancient semi-Catholic capital that has seen the raids of gentry, Austrians, Lithuanians and other esquires, there is no mythical Russophobia at all, more and more welcoming friendly smiling people. . And beer "Lvivske" (I keep the name in the original). I liked Lviv, in general . . But this is a matter of taste, see everything with your own eyes and evaluate it.
You can go to the waterfall, 40 minutes from Vyzhnitsa, that’s also good. Florida : )
This is where the first part ends.
If you have any questions - write
