When planning where we will go skiing this year, I remembered that I did not leave a review about last year's stay in the Carpathians. Maybe someone will come in handy when choosing a hotel this year.
So. A group of lovers, who want to ride, who just enjoy the Carpathian air, gathered at the Shvagry hotel in January days. We arrived at the station SKOL. Transfer Skole-Oryavchik-Shvagry was ordered at the hotel when booking.
Check-in to the hotel was quick. Everything is clean in the hotels, but there is no Carpathian flavor. Everything is done, as they say, under the "euro repair". Entering the hotel you need to go through the "dining room" to go up to your room. Rooms are clean, bedding is great. The walls were a little embarrassing - they somehow reminded me of a hospital, all white, plain. For an amateur.
The hotel has its own ski rental, but we did not take it. Something did not really want to teleport in ski boots to the lift. The site says 200m, as for me it will be more.
The ski complex pleased me immediately when we saw it. There was enough snow. In the morning the snowcats finished the work, so everything looked great. There are several ski rentals (80-100 UAH). For some reason, there is no rental of glasses anywhere. Probably not in demand. To the left is a small yoke. Suitable for beginner skiers. Price 10 UAH. for the rise - a little expensive. Brings only about 1/4 of the slide. On the right is a yoke that will take you to the very top. Lifting price 12 UAH. If someone thinks the descent is very steep, then approximately in the middle you can get off the lift. And from here continue downhill. Also, in the middle of the mountain, there is a granny who sells tea and mulled wine (10 UAH).
It is better to get to the very top of the mountain. From below, the descent seems very steep, for a pro. In fact, the descent goes around the mountain, suitable for lovers of an average level of skiing. But what kind of nature is around, you go and admire the beauties. Downstairs there are a couple of huts where you can relax a bit, have a bite to eat, drink a beer.
A big plus of the hotel is the pool. After skiing, swimming in warm water is generally a song. True, there were days when chlorine “pressed” a little on the eyes. In the lobby of the pool there is a tennis table, you can play. There is also a sauna. Didn't go. Price 200 UAH. in an hour.
In the evening you can sit at your hotel. The kitchen is average, no frills. And also go to the neighboring hotel “ringing”, where the cuisine is more interesting and there is more choice of dishes. There is music, you can shake off the calories a little.
Z. Y. The hotel is not bad. Everything is pretty. Although there are hotels closer to the ski lift, one can say in an embrace, there are still more advantages than disadvantages.
