We rested in July 2016 together with our son.
First, along the Polyana itself: I don’t know about you, but for me the Carpathians are, first of all, a coniferous forest. But in the Glade there is a deciduous forest + many (very) hotels. Therefore, there is a resort, service, cafes and civilization. But I didn’t have the feeling that I was in the Carpathians. This is me in case “coniferousness” is also important for you.
Now for the hotel:

Didn't like the food. It is enough in quantity, you can’t blame the hotel here. There is also a choice: 2-3 dishes of each course, that is, 3 types of vegetables, 3 types of side dishes, 3 types of meat / fish. 3 types of desserts/fruits. The trouble is that they are cooked in such a way that they are practically inedible. It's not about diet, it's about taste. There were days when only cucumbers/tomatoes and fried chickens were edible. wings. I was not too lazy to try all kinds of cereals for side dishes in a week (well, I'm a fan of cereals), but even rice was terrible (with defrosted vegetables from a bag), not to mention buckwheat, oatmeal, corn and wheat porridge. For the first time I meet with such cook "art". Pancakes for breakfast were so rubbery that it was impossible to bite off. Cheese and ham were also not in short supply due to their inedibility. And just currants for dessert, like bananas in July, amazed me. The first is inedibility, the second is absurdity.
In general, we were saved by the fact that lunches were not included in the price of the hotel, and this meal (even if we ordered lunch at the hotel restaurant) somewhat softened the impression.
The problem is not that we are such gluttons, but I had a young growing organism with me, accustomed at home to ordinary food that had a normal taste. And listening to grumbling about the dirtyness of food for a week 2 times a day made me somewhat tired. In general, for the food included in the price of the room, the hotel is a fat minus. I understand the desire of the administration to save money, but it would be more honest not to make a tasteless buffet, but to go along the path of a la carte complex lunches with a choice of 2 courses. In this case, it is easier to predict the number of products, and it makes no sense to turn them into something indigestible so as not to eat too much. So, for example, it was in the neighboring Lileya, where we went for lunch, which is practical and in demand. Otherwise, there is a feeling that the hotel first takes money from you for food, and then gives you such food so that you remain hungry and order more either at the restaurant on site or in the vicinity.
By the way, we visited 3 hotels of the Reikartz chain, and if their breakfasts are fine, then lunches and dinners are terrible everywhere (in Reikartz Karpaty and set meals were bad in 2015, but then they were at least optional, and not included in the price, we It was enough to dine once and refuse). So this is clearly a systemic problem of the network as a whole.

I did not like that the SPA is very sloppy in terms of the time of procedures. If the massage is already indicated “30 minutes”, then it is wrong to complete it after 25. Light therapy with an unfortunate 10 minutes also turned into a five-minute period for me (the nurse simply turned on the device and left, saying that she would return in 5 minutes and warm up the second ear). It's been 15 and no one has come. It was lucky that at least the device itself turned off automatically. I didn’t make a fuss, but I stopped going to the spa, except for the pool
To end on a positive note, I would like to emphasize that the hotel has good rooms, a nice indoor pool with hydromassage and saunas, and a great area.
Every day at the hotel, except for weekends, there is a guide in the morning, you can arrange a tour today for today. We got out on 2, and were very pleased. Near the hotel there is a large outdoor swimming pool with heated water. It is paid, but the price is reasonable. And since the unheated outdoor pools at the hotel are too extreme with night temperatures around 10 degrees, this heated one was a nice solution. At your fingertips there are markets for smuggling, souvenirs and homemade products, diversifying the diet and exercise.
There is also a small coffee shop with confectionery from the Uzhgorod chain Shtefanyo. Who loves macaroons and Uzhgorod cake, welcome, very sincerely.
