Good afternoon.
So a report on a trip to Shayan, hotel Edelweiss.
We rested at the beginning of August. Upon arrival in Mukachevo at the station, we were caught by a private trader on a bus, so to speak, we agreed for 70 hryvnias per person to take us to Shayan. We drove for about two hours with stops. Upon arrival in Shayan, the driver asked for another 10 UAH. to give us a lift to the hotel. The total cost was 160 hryvnia, so we can get from Mukachevo with the child.
Upon arrival at the hotel, we paid for accommodation (standard), we were put in a room on the top floor. In the room there is a corridor with a mirror, a hanger and a refrigerator, a medium-sized room, there are two beds in the room, two bedside tables, a large closet, a dressing table with a mirror, in general very normal.
From the room there is access to the balcony, the view from the balcony is super, around the mountain.

The bathroom is large, with a washbasin with a mirror, a toilet bowl and a shower cabin. There are many Hungarian-language channels on TV, but there are also Ukrainian channels, but not many.
During the stay, water disappeared four times, we were told that there was no water in all of Shayan, they say the water comes from the sanatorium.
It is also worth noting that, probably in view of the rooms on the top floor, we had a weak water pressure, especially in the shower, we did not really wash ourselves.
The room was cleaned every three or four days, bedding and towels were changed once.
Now regarding the food in Edelweiss.
I would not say that it is cheap, for example, two chops and two french fries - 80-90 UAH. When you order food, be prepared that they will start cooking when you arrive, and you will have to wait.
In general, the hotel is normal, especially considering the price of 180 UAH per day per room.
Now about Shayan. We were there for the first time, we liked the nature, clean air, so to speak, the wildness of this village. Five minutes from the hotel in the direction of Carpathia and you are in the forest. there are signs on the roads that this is a state border, the passage is prohibited. from the hotel about 10 minutes to the border. (or border zone)
Walk to the pump room from the hotel approx. , 10-15 minutes, water is free, draw as much as you want (within reasonable limits).
Water 4 and 242, tastes good, drank warm before meals, cold after, 200 ml each. Near the pump-room there is a taxi stop and the only minibus to Mukachevo. She goes once a day, at 12.50, (you can pre-book seats with a guide from Erney Laz, he stands there nearby) the minibus is small, but there are a lot of people.
Also along Shayan, for the whole Shayan, they found three products, shops, Evelina (like a supermarket, everything is expensive there), ABC, Chestnut. (Chestnut is right in front of Edelweiss, it’s very convenient, but it doesn’t always work)
Cigarettes can only be bought in Evelyn, alcohol in Evelyn and Kashtan, and ABC has its own bakery, very tasty bread.

All stores are full of grocery "double bass" especially Hungarian spices. I did not find a currency exchange in Shayan.
There is no grocery market as such, but they sell a lot of inexpensive clothes from abroad.
From souvenirs there is nothing special, the same Truskavets and Skhidnitsa. There is also a lake in Shayan, (at the entrance, near Grace) we were fishing there, especially we didn’t catch anything.
That's all in principle, there is still a photo, maybe I'll post it.
If you have questions, please ask.
