I would not write this if I had not experienced a terrible time in this hotel. On the last day of my stay, at dinner I ordered a banosh with mushrooms and these mushrooms poisoned me. The condition was just terrible! She fainted right in the room at night. If it weren't for my husband, who raised the scandal, maybe I wouldn't be alive. They took him to the hospital. Diagnosis - acute mushroom poisoning. When the husband arrived in the morning from the hospital to the hotel for things, the director of the hotel disappeared. Not the slightest banal apology, not a question of whether help is needed... In general, disappointment, terrible memories - all that remains of staying at the Forest House Hotel.

At the request to put some additional heating - they were refused, because. in the hotel it is forbidden to plug anything into the socket in the room, except for charging the mobile.
2. Very slippery surfaces on the steps at the entrance and on the steps to the basement that lead to the ski dryer.
3. We went on a package tour from a super dealer (breakfast, lunch, dinner paid in advance). The menu, which is offered very little, is cheap and not tasty. They offer, if you do not like it, then order from the menu for money. Food prices are expensive. It must have been done that way on purpose!
4. Terrible staff in the restaurant! The waitress Galya shows her dislike for Russian-speaking tourists with her whole appearance. And it doesn't matter that they also live in Ukraine, like her.
It takes 30-40 minutes to carry an order, even if there are 3 tables of visitors in the hall.
Breakfast was not prepared 2 times, citing the fact that you did not come up in the evening and did not say that you would have breakfast. How can you not prepare a pre-paid breakfast?

Many thanks to the director of the hotel and all the staff - very hospitable people, thank you very much! The food in the restaurant is excellent - the portions are huge and everything is very tasty !! ! Breakfast and dinner are included in the price. Very reasonable prices for accommodation, I recommend it to everyone. To get from the city of Ivano - Frankivsk to the village. Tatars are not a problem, buses run every 20 minutes. The hotel is located between Yaremche and Bukovel, everything is nearby. If we rest in the Carpathians, then we will only stay at Forest House. I recommend it to everyone, you won't regret it!

We rested in late August - early September, so there were not many people, the rest turned out to be calm and no one interfered.
Hotel location. Forest House is located about 1.5 hours by bus from Ivano-Frankivsk. Minibuses run from the station often and cost about 20 UAH per person.
A huge plus is that the hotel is located near Yaremche (where you can go to see the waterfall) and about 15-20 minutes drive from Bukovel.
The hotel is located on the bank of the river, behind it is a forest, there are almost no buildings (neighbors) on the right and left, so there is a super view of the mountains that could be seen from our balcony.
By the way, topic. who loves skiing - we were told that in winter several micro-buses are driven to the hotel, which carry vacationers to Bukovel and pick them up, respectively. Prices in winter, as the owner said, are almost two times less than in Bukovel.
Near the hotel there are two shops where you can buy water, sweets and other products.
Rooms and accommodation. We lived in a standard room, on the 3rd floor at number 13. The view from the window is gorgeous (photo attached). The room, like the rest of the hotel, is made of wood. Comfortable, clean, quite spacious. The bathroom is small, in it we found two small and two large white towels and one more for feet. All fixtures are brand new and high quality.
It is forbidden to smoke in the rooms, because the whole hotel is decorated with wood, which can easily catch fire, but on the street - please, there is a bench right next to the exit from the restaurant, tables and gazebos.
By the way, we got on cool weather and rainy weather (+10…+15) and we were pleasantly surprised that the rooms were heated a little so that it would not be cold.
Does the hotel have free Wi-Fi. On the street there is a wonderful gazebo with a barbecue, you can buy a barbecue and fry it yourself, they will bring you skewers, plates and everything you need.
The only thing we missed was the chairs on the balcony, but we easily fixed this shortcoming by dragging an ottoman and a leather chair from the room.
Also there is no playground and sauna. BUT we somehow got into a conversation with the director (a wonderful person) and he shared his secret plans: they plan to build a spa center with a bathhouse, a massage room, a beer and tea bar, etc. By the way, the hotel "At the Brothers" is located nearby and there you can take a steam bath in the sauna, it costs 100 UAH per hour.
Restaurant. As I wrote earlier, breakfasts and dinners were included in the price (photo attached). They cooked deliciously and with a shower, every evening we chose from the list what we would eat in the morning and said what time we would arrive, it was the same with dinner.
The service is quite good, the prices are slightly above average (when compared to other restaurants where we have eaten), but this is justified by the taste and quality of the food. The most delicious cuisine of all that we tried during our vacation was in Forest House. By the way, the interior of the restaurant is made in hunting style - simple, nice and tasteful.
I would also add a few dessert cakes or something for tea to the menu. They serve delicious Carpathian tea, but there are not so many desserts on the menu. We bought sweets from the store several times. When the waiter brought us tea, then it was necessary to have a plate with him so that we could put everything there and not eat from bags. Delicious mead : )
Service. Pleasantly pleased with the sincere and homely attitude towards customers. The staff is friendly, always greets and tries to help, suggest.
Departure from the hotel - at 12-00, check-in - at 14-00. Despite the fact that we arrived at 12-00 we were settled in a free room without any problems, we did not wait 2 hours.
On the day of departure, our train left quite late - at 22-00 from Ivan-Frankivsk, we wanted to stay longer at the hotel so as not to wander around the station with suitcases. We went to the reception and asked if it was possible to pay extra and stay until 18-00. The girl promised to check with the director. Later she replied that they would just stay, a small gift from the hotel. We were VERY pleasantly surprised that we went to the meeting. THANK YOU so much for this again!

I was also pleasantly surprised that the size of the Standard room was quite large. For example, in August 2012, we also rested in Tatariv, in a hotel whose price is an order of magnitude higher - and so there the room was exactly 2 times smaller. Many in the reviews blamed the restrictions regarding kettles and smoking. I am a smoker, and at the same time I did not feel any discomfort to go downstairs for a smoke break. The same situation with teapots - a thermos is the solution. After all, the cottage is "from and to" wooden, and can flare up like a match. We rested with my husband and young son, and we were offered a kettle in the room for the convenience of feeding the child at night (we ourselves refused). But again, if you have a thermos, this is not a problem. By the way, about the restrictions - when I booked a room by phone, the administrator immediately warned about these points. Rooms are cleaned daily.
Restaurant. The food is very tasty, really everything is cooked with soul. As for the long serving of dishes - I don’t know, we didn’t notice. Maryana asked what time we would serve breakfast/lunch/dinner - and everything was always on time. I was very touched that separate dishes were prepared especially for my child at my request. There is no such thing as a children's menu in Forest House, but if you are relaxing with the kids, be sure that the chef will prepare something special for your child. Again, speaking about the hotel in which we rested last time - the restaurant for the child could not offer anything other than mashed potatoes !! ! (In general, moms will understand me).
About the staff. I read in the reviews some terrible comments about people who work in Forest. During the days of rest, we saw a wonderful sincere attitude towards our family. The people working in the hotel do their job well! And we liked absolutely everything without exception. We want to once again say a big thank you to the chef Lyuda, Maryana, Vika, Natalya, Ivanka, Anya and, of course, Vladimir Ivanovich.
We will definitely come back many, many more times!
