My New York!

We planned to leave for New York in September 2014. Then we received a visa and dreamed of spending the new 2015! All this time we have been preparing to visit this beautiful city and country on the Internet! We read about sights and excursions, about specifics and weather, about people and history. And now, on December 29.2014, the long-awaited departure! We are at the border and flying to the USA! The Big Apple is waiting for us! This is the second name of New York! Landing in it, the weather made us happy! It was sunny! We got into a taxi and arrived at our hotel in Manhattan! To begin with, there are 5 districts in New York! Brooklyn, Quint, Manhattan, Bronx and Staten Island! We are in the city center! Once among the skyscrapers, banks and hotels, we gasped at the grandeur and architecture of this giant! After settling in, we walked around the area for a bit. We had dinner with a delicious salad, went to bed! Since the difference of -10 from the American time zone in relation to Surgut and the long flight made themselves felt. 30.12. 14 we woke up cheerful and cheerful. It was decided to go on a sightseeing bus around the city. We bought booklets and ended up on the route of the upper city! I will make a reservation that the city is divided into 2 conventions - upper and lower! The audio guide (headphones) was given to us at the entrance to the bus! In pure English, we had to listen to a guide with good diction! The city of the "American Dream", the symbol and unofficial capital of the United States of America, the "Big Apple" - New York was founded in 1626 and named New Amsterdam by the German colonist Peter Minnevit, who served at the Dutch court. Geographically, the city is well located on the left bank of the Hudson River, the mouth of which protects the harbor from the waves of the Atlantic Ocean. Today's New York consists of five world-famous districts - Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island, the boundaries of which for the most part coincide with the boundaries of the respective administrative districts.

There are also many well-known micro-districts and residential areas in the territory of the five districts. On the pleasure bus, we got off at the stop of the Guggenheim Museum of Modern Art! Its extraordinary building caught our attention! We bought tickets and enjoyed the works of Monet, Rembrandt, Picasso, Kandinsky! A little later we went down to have lunch in an Italian restaurant! Next we visited the Metropolitan Museum of Art! Huge and majestic, it resembles a Russian museum in St. Petersburg, but it contains all the cultures of the world! Art of Africa, Asia, Europe! Painting, sculpture! Color and scope of ideas! Thus ended the second day of stay in the USA! We are back at the hotel! 31.12 was a trip to the Statue of Liberty! The symbol of all America and the most recognizable statue in the world! It was great! The ferry took us to the island! Not a long cruise around the bay made it possible to photograph the city from the side! This was spectacular! After some time we arrived at Ellis Island! The island of emigrants and visited the museum of the same name! We had to return to the hotel for dinner!

The date of 2015 was approaching in Russia. We called and congratulated all our loved ones and relatives! And then they began to wait for the offensive of the American ng! Americans celebrate it especially! They gather in the main square of the country! They rejoice and rejoice and wait, wait, like in the whole world of magic! We've been waiting too! And here it is - 2015 in New York! January 1st we went to the Empire State Building! Standing in line, we were at a great height! The view of the Hudson and the whole island won our hearts with lightning speed! The huge tower was once the tallest in the world! Now it was outdone by other buildings in the world! Nevertheless, we liked this strong impression of her visit and remained in our minds. It was decided to return through the main Christmas tree of the city and the Rockefeller Center! The square was filled with thousands of tourists! We, like them, wandered there with a sense of joy! The next day, the Madame Tasso Museum is a museum of celebrity look-alikes! Start the show from the top floor of the museum!

The script for a celebrity party reminded us of an invitation to a personalized presentation! Fountains, music! We clicked cameras at each of our idol mockups! Everyone can be touched, hugged! Only 6 floors of famous athletes, movie stars, politicians and just successful people! At 1400 we visited the Broadway theater. It was a musical! "He's the town"! Or in Russian - "in the city"! And in short - about the leave of three friends - sailors who get to the city of dreams of New York and enjoy, like us, its delights! The splendor of the show and decorations at 2.5 hours filled us with inexhaustible energy! We returned to the hotel happy and tired! Without having time to look back, the calendar showed the date of January 4! Like all fashionistas, we were interested in shopping! And here we had a hard time! The sea of shops in this prestigious city took us 2 days of time! We watched the book world of Americans, as well as galleries with paintings that so strongly attracted and tempted to purchase! And now the end of the journey is approaching! On the 7th we were supposed to return to Russia! Thanking New York for its hospitality, we promised to return here again! Fortunately, the consulate allowed us to enter the United States for 3 years! See you America!
