Start here:

1. Preface to the story of how I went to Vietnam

2. Morning in the middle of the night or Hello Comrade Beijing!

3. Ho Chi Minh City is delicious.

The day turned out to be stupid, unorganized, torn into small amenities and boringness, and was diluted with sitting in different places so that the whole thing does not come together in my head. I tried to write a post so that it would be interesting to someone else besides me, but this day has stalled me, I can neither describe it properly nor skip.

The further the more difficult it is to reproduce events and it is a pity that all this will be lost in the bowels of my memory. What will I re-read later in retirement? ) Let's quickly review this day already and move on)

December 6.2015. Vietnam. Day two, stupid.

I woke up in Ho Chi Minh very early, at 6 o'clock, for some reason I always wanted to wake up early. Moreover, when it was 6 in the morning in Vietnam, it was one in the morning in Ukraine, I usually don’t even sleep at that time. I can't imagine how my internal clock is rearranged in such an interesting way.

At 11.25 we flew to Dalat, there was still time for the carriage.

We had a delicious breakfast with unusual things, it seems from semolina)

Let's get some flavor at the local Ben Han market.

I had a goal to buy light panties, they are sold throughout Southeast Asia and are very suitable for traveling around it)

We are lost in the market. There are many entrances and everything seems so the same! ) If you are in the Benhan market, immediately take a picture of the exit number near which you plan to meet. We were lucky, we nevertheless quickly found each other, otherwise we risked missing the plane.

Flying in Vietnam is a special pleasure. First, it's cheap. Secondly, cleanly) And, of course, quickly. Vietnam is a rather large country, stretched along the coast of the South China Sea, and although it would be interesting to travel around it, it is long and hard. In Dalat, for example, where we were heading, the bus runs for about 7 hours, the road is difficult, serpentine in places, and the train does not go there at all. And so we also saw the Mekong Delta)

There is a small airport in Da Lat, we quickly got our luggage and went to the exit. But it wasn't there! ) We were blocked on the road and asked to show our luggage coupons. Usually they are glued to the tickets, then the ticket is torn off when boarding the plane, and the spine remains. Nowhere, except for Vietnam, this spine was not checked for me. In Vietnam, almost every airport asked us to present these roots. We were looking for coupons for a long time, but fortunately they found us and they let us out of the airport. And if you didn't find it? )

The airport is quite far from the city of Dalat, about an hour away by car. Surely there are buses there, but we took a taxi, for three it often turns out not much more expensive than going by public transport. Although it’s hard to say about Vietnam, we only traveled by public transport a couple of times, and then in those places where taxis simply don’t go.

Even from home, I had a plan - either leave the luggage at the airport (by the way, I strongly doubt that there is a left-luggage office there, at least we didn’t see it), or throw the luggage into a taxi and go straight with things to the waterfall Pongour.

(Internet photo)

It is located near the airport and on the other side of the city. I really wanted to see this waterfall, but my fellow travelers refused to risk their suitcases, and I did not dare to go there alone.

So we all went to the hotel.

Beautiful red mountains around

We chose a very unusual hotel - Crazy House. This is a local attraction. I will tell you more about it in the next post.

There were a lot of people in the Crazy House, the staff was running back and forth, fussing. Our rooms were not ready, we left our suitcases at the reception and went to look for the center.

But the road did not seem interesting to us and we caught a taxi.

In Vietnam, taxis are metered, which is very pleasing, and the price can be determined by the appearance of the taxi. The most economical taxis in Meilin, but they are not air-conditioned.

Closer to the center, the city became more and more colorful

And more colorful)

Here we ate delicious soup

I still salivate when I think of Vietnamese soups. It's soup heaven)

Pho soup is considered the most delicious dish, but believe me, there are no tasteless soups, they are all just food of the gods)

Having had enough and drunk fine Vietnamese coffee, we went somewhere strongly up and went straight to the central market. This is the center.

Impressive? )

I didn't feel very well - acclimatization, coffee in huge quantities, loads unusual for me. In general, I was blown away and instead of enjoying the color and looking for where to buy normal strawberries (strawberries in December, Carl! ) I just dragged myself behind my fellow travelers, dreaming of a bed)

What I saw made me feel a little nauseous.

Speaking of strawberries. At the hotel they sold it in small stalls, so beautiful and alluring, but there was nowhere to leave it, and then I didn’t see it again. On the market, strawberries were frankly bad - small, greenish, crumpled.

We went to the lake.

We sat in a cafe for a while, we didn’t feel like eating yet, and a cold wind was blowing from the lake, so we quickly left for home.

Dalat is generally quite cold and damp. And especially in Crazy House, because almost everything is made of concrete. But there is a fireplace there! ) They melted it on demand.

I ate dragonfruit for dinner. I wanted strawberries!

Thank God, this day is over, and the next day there were a lot of interesting and beautiful things!
