The territory is small, but picturesque, there is a swimming pool, sun loungers, an entrance to the sea. There is no beach because the water rises right up to the entrance stairs to the hotel. When swimming in the sea, the legs of a jellyfish are often burned, although there are none at all further along the coast in the public beach area. The room is small, about 10-12m. In the shower it is very difficult to set the water to warm or hot or cold. The room has a prehistoric air conditioner that is controlled by a universal Wi-Fi remote control, due to a poor signal, the remote control periodically does not work. There is also a TV with 1 Russian channel and a small refrigerator. The hotel has a cafe, breakfast in it 1 time, the prices were 2 times more expensive than in local restaurants. The food is no different. The location is 15-20 minutes walk from the center and the Bokeh seafood cafe area. Rest in this hotel was completely spoiled by one fact, the hotel provides a safe in the room, in the closet, you program it and close it yourself (well, in general, as usual), but the safe opens with a spare key that only the owner of the hotel has, as it turned out after our incident. We rested many times in Egypt and Turkey and Thailand, we always used safes without second thoughts, well, here they also put Russian passports and the bulk of the money in the safe, as well as a sheet on which it was written how much money and in what currency was in the safe . I checked the safe every day, and on the 5th day, during the check, $ 100 and 3000 rubles were missing. There were no signs of opening, the password was the same as we set (i. e. , the safe was opened with a spare key, and the number, respectively, too) and closed in the same way. I immediately called the owner of the hotel, told him about the loss and showed him a piece of paper with the amounts written on it, to which he made round eyes and said that this could not be and that he had no idea where our money was. . After conferring and deciding that we would not return the money, it was decided to live stupidly until the end of the holiday, and then not give the remaining $ 80, all things (phones, camera, tablet, passports, money) had to be carried with you. But there was one more snag, at the entrance to the hotel they took away our passports for the duration of our stay (allegedly this is the custom in Vietnam). I immediately went downstairs and demanded to return the passports, at first the owner refused to give them to me, I had to show a little aggression and the passports were given back. After that, the owner made a satisfied face and asked "Are we leaving? ", To which I replied that "no. " The next morning, I found that a bag with toilet paper and towels was hanging on the door of our room, the staff stopped entering the room and, accordingly, stopped cleaning, they staged a boycott, but in addition, in a strange way, our air conditioner stopped cooling. This did not scare us and we spent the night there for another 1 night, the next day we went to rest on the beach away from the hotel, because it was not pleasant to be on the territory of the hotel, but we also wanted to cover the damage. Upon returning from the beach in the evening, the owner of the hotel called me and told me to give him my passports and pay money for further accommodation, to which I said that "I will not give my passports, but the money was as agreed upon departure. " We again started talking about the stolen money, and already in high tones, during which, all the male staff of the hotel ran up (security guards, relatives in the form of some kind of kid about 20 years old and grandfather + the owner of the hotel himself) and they frankly began to pounce on me and the girl , shouting and brandishing with fists (we did not behave aggressively, we did not go to provocations). The result of all was that we were stupidly told to pick up our things and move out. It's good that we assumed such a turn of events and had already agreed in a nearby hotel we liked, about a possible settlement, in advance. The hotel nearby is called Salina resort for the same $20 we rented a room that was 2 times bigger and better. In this hotel we spent the rest of the holiday, which smoothed out our impressions of the holiday in Phan Thiet. In no case would I recommend anyone to stay at the Hoang Kim Golden Hotel.
