M&M Hotel - Bui Thi Xuan Street
21 Bui Thi Xuan street, Ben Thanh ward, district 01, District 1 - Ben Thanh Market, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
We stayed at the hotel for two nights, were accommodated in two rooms, and did not sleep a minute both nights, due to the noisy behavior of the Vietnamese guests, and the complete inactivity of the hotel staff. On the first night in one of the neighboring rooms, someone jumped all night so that our room shook like an earthquake, when we told the administrator about this, he assured that nothing like this would happen again. But on the second night it was even better: the newly arrived guests from two neighboring rooms made a feast and all night in one room the tape recorder was screaming at full power, and the Vietnamese guests ran along the hotel corridor, slammed the door and shouted at the top of their voices. The hotel is new, and apparently, there were no other guests near the noisy company.

The administrator on duty simply did not react to our requests to ensure silence, fell asleep at the reception desk, we had to raise him very persistently, but this did not lead to anything, the request to call the hotel manager was also ignored. It turned out that the hotel employee cares more about his sleep and the peace of the manager than about the necessary minimum of services in the hotel. Then, when leaving the hotel, we refused to pay for the second night of our stay until the manager was invited, a team of taxi drivers and security guards was assembled against us. Money was simply extorted with threats. We were late for the train, the money had to be paid under the threat of a fight, but they refused to give us even a bill. I have never seen such disgrace anywhere. I really don't want other guests to be in the same situation.
Moreover, the hotel is positioned as a two-star hotel, and in relation to customers it does not even look like a "guesthouse"!

I don't want people to think it's the same everywhere in Saigon. No, I often visit this city and stay in different hotels and I am quite satisfied with the Vietnamese hospitality, friendliness and diligence of the hotel staff. What happened in this hotel is rather an exception to the rule. And, a glaring exception.
