Stayed here twice in standard rooms. Old, poor, but the nature and the sea in this place are unique. This time we booked a superior room. Thank God only for four nights. Upon entering the room (904) experienced a severe shock. Closet 10 sq. m. with ancient shabby furniture and wallpaper, everything is just "killed" in the trash. They tried to kill the smell of a stinking rooming house with an air freshener, but it did not help. The stench is indestructible. Balcony measuring 0.4 by 1.2 meters with a clothesline. A shabby washroom without a bathtub, with a blinking light bulb hanging from wires wrapped in duct tape. Museum Soviet ottomans with holes in the fabric. There are no mattresses. All this "interior" should have been thrown into the landfill long ago, because such squalor can be seen in a barracks where drunks live, but not in a boarding house for normal people. Cleaning consists of taking out the trash. There is no wet cleaning, no vacuum cleaner - hence the stench.
The elevator constantly breaks down, on the day of departure we got stuck there ourselves. Thanks to the local repairmen - they pulled us out in half an hour. The administrator, honestly looking into her eyes, stated that you have all the conditions for increased comfort and categorically refused to replace the room.

People, be vigilant, do not spoil your holiday. There are many good hotels and guest houses in Gagra, and avoid this ancient hut "Colchis". Health and nerves are more expensive. If you want to live in a smelly rooming house for decent money - you are here.
