I would like to share a review about the hotel Raida. We rested in Gagra for the second time and the hotel was not chosen for a long time. I would like to note that my husband and I are not picky and are always looking for only pluses in the rest.
But, for reference, I hope it will be useful for you to learn firsthand. It is about the Raida hotel that there are almost no reviews at all. Vouchers were bought at a price of 1800 rubles. per day per person with 2 meals a day. For the price, I think the hotel is expensive compared to the neighboring decent private sector. But we wanted to live in European comfort. We decided next time to look after the private sector.
Pros:

The hotel itself is modern, beautiful, cozy. The rooms are excellent. The restaurant serves delicious and varied food for breakfast and lunch. There were many families with small children among the vacationers, and there will always be a dairy kitchen for the kids. The restaurant serves very quickly and politely. There is a massage parlor and a sauna. On the terrace in the cafe you can always drink a glass of good wine. It is located close to the sea across the highway.
The beach is just fabulous. There are almost no people. Nobody gets churchkhela and baklava. There is an opportunity to taste very edible home cooking in the next 3 cafes for a penny. You can also take a sunbed for 100 rubles a day.
Minuses:
I would never recommend a room with a sea view. In front of the hotel, dense crowns of trees and the sea can be seen only from the 5th floor. Not a single review says that the hotel is right next to a busy highway 30 meters away. From here, day and night, the roar of cars is so noisy that even at night it is impossible to sleep even with the windows closed. Because of this, on the second day we asked to urgently change the room with a view of the mountains. Noise was not much less.
And you yourself understand what kind of clean ecology you can talk about when you live near the highway ?!
There was no internet at all in the hotel. I don’t know why write free wi-fi on the site. If he appeared there, he would be very weak and paid.
In general, on this trip, with all due respect to all the inhabitants of this country, I was disappointed both in the Abkhaz authorities and in the local residents. for 6 years no restoration work of architectural monuments has been carried out.
Will tourists want to go there? They only swindle tourists for money, but they don’t try to invest anything. Each taxi driver introduced himself as a guide. Everywhere there is impassable dirt on the sidewalks, even near the post office and the communication building there are mountains of garbage and it is clear that the janitors do not sweep.
Almost every day at lunch the power was turned off throughout Gagra, sometimes in the evenings. At the post office where we still wanted to find the Internet, it was not there either, and when it appeared, the speed was antediluvian.
In general, the feeling that I was in the wild jungle haunted me throughout the rest!!!
And yet I fell in love with this beautiful nature!! !
