The goal is a review of the "Abkhazian hospitality" of the Dzheniya family and their home at the address: Gagra, st. Apsha Leona, 30.
The main characters (they are also the owners): Dzheniya's family: Born Petrovich, Tamara Vladimirovna, Daur.
Stayed at this family's house for 2 weeks in June 2010. Rating: 3.
General information: The yard of the house is large enough, with a garden (flowers, trees), the paths are tiled. The territory consists of the main 2-storey master's house (1st floor - for vacationers), also for vacationers a detached house in the back of the yard with its own kitchen and 2 newly built houses. In general, the house is designed to receive about 50 guests. For all: 2 toilets, 2 outdoor showers and 2 washing basins, 1 kitchen and a table in the yard for 10 people.
Pros: Large yard, 5-7 minutes from the sea, you can hardly hear the music from the coastal bars. This is where the pluses end.
Negative moments of rest:
1. The house does not shine with cleanliness: cobwebs in the corners of the rooms and in the toilets (I personally observed how a guest who had just moved in washed the floors, and her daughter said with pity: “Mom, but you’re not a cleaning lady…. ”… On the territory yard, in the rooms and even in the bed - ants.
2. The mattresses on the beds are at least 10 years old with protruding springs (we were able to sleep somehow only by spreading the blankets issued as blankets), as well as dirty, damp pillows.
3. In the room on the 1st floor overlooking the garden where we lived, the humidity is too high, “thanks to” which after 2 weeks on the suitcase, bags and even shoes got a serious fungus, upon arrival - all things were to be disposed of.
4. Toilet paper, matches in the kitchen, dish detergent - everything is missing! Dishes - a little, in the range - only 1 teaspoon. All dishes are greasy. Therefore, it is recommended to have your own cutlery or purchase disposable ones.
5. The “hospitable” house offers guests 1 electric kettle with a broken auto-shutoff mechanism, which threatens to overheat and break. They do not plan to acquire a new owner (except perhaps at the expense of vacationers, or rather at the expense of that unfortunate one, on whom this kettle will be covered sooner or later (! ), And who is being watched very vigilantly! ! This is not a joke, house (but more precisely: “guest sighting”) is carried out almost around the clock: who went where, who says what... there are ears everywhere, we even joked that there are “wiretapping” in the house... On the principle of “make repairs at the expense of the guests” before our eyes, the owners compensated the cost of a "barely alive" toilet bowl (sorry) at the expense of a guy who has just settled in. The joy of the owners knew no bounds! And, please note, over the next week (before our departure), the toilet was never repaired or replaced. Apparently, this " chip "gives a very good additional income! So, paying "cheaply" can later turn out to be far from cheap!...
6. An additional 3-storey building is being built on the territory of the yard. For the season: July-August it is “frozen”, in September-October it is resumed. So we settled during the lunch break, the owners kept silent about this important detail, and we suffered the whole "rest".
7. For two weeks, water and electricity were turned off 5 times in all of Gagra. Hot water in the shower - due to the heating of titanium, which the owner periodically allegedly forgot to turn on... leaving the guests to wash with cold water. In reality, this is a decent savings for the family budget of the owners.
8. Two eternally hungry dogs live in the courtyard of the house, also eating at the expense of vacationers...
9. The owners themselves, being real millionaires, apparently also malnourished, because. the standard phrase in the morning in the kitchen: ". . . what will you treat us to? ". The manner of communication of Daur (the son of Rozhden Petrovich) every day more and more plunged into shock. With his insulting monologues, a person raised his self-esteem... we just silently got up from the table and, having not had dinner, left the kitchen. Topics were reduced to nat. conflicts, humiliation of Russians. . .
10. We didn’t sleep peacefully for a single night: either parties of workers (builders), or barking dogs, or above us on the 2nd floor, the owners themselves moved furniture until 2-3 in the morning... In addition, the owners plan to open a night bar on the roof, so everyone will only dream of peace !!
On the last day of departure, with the "help" of the hosts, we almost missed the train. We were promised that we agreed with the driver + car to the border. We waited 30 minutes and moved on our own… and, which is very strange, the hosts left the house exactly on the day of our departure and at that time))). . , so there was no one to arrange a showdown with… Was it an accident , or a specific “setup” is an open question....
Summary: perhaps the conditions are worth the declared price, but after looking around other houses, we came to the conclusion: we will not return to this house again and will not advise anyone! And, to be honest, it still remains a mystery to me: for what (or for how much! ) This house is being “promoted” like that…….
