I was with my family in the Literary Fund from mid-July to early August 2006.
Getting into the territory of Abkhazia, the first thing that attracts attention is peace and quiet, a sense of peace, a small number of people and cars, after noisy, with crowds of people on the streets, and traffic jams on the roads of Adler.
The boarding house is certainly not super-duper, but in general we liked it. For the relatively little money that was paid, quite a decent holiday!
The boarding house is not for everyone. Fans of active partying, namely young people, will not like it there, because there is practically no partying there. The Litfond is ideal for families with children and the elderly. Quite a large fenced area, joint with the neighboring boarding house "Pitius". Near across the road from the boarding house is a huge lake "Inkit".
The territory is all green - bamboo, palm trees, and other flowering trees.

Quite a good beach. Mostly sand, the sea has small pebbles, so fans of the sandy entrance to the sea will need shales! The beach is equipped with sun loungers with a bamboo canopy, changing rooms and even a pipe with a faucet that acts as a shower. Plus a scooter, a banana, a cafe. On the boarding house card you can take sun loungers, rugs (foams), umbrellas. Hire of masks, fins, fishing rods.
The boarding house consists of three buildings: main, new and family. The main one is a 13-storey building (the 13th floor is technical). New - three or four storey building next to the main one. Family - three floors, located a little to the side.
Next to the dining room is a swimming pool - a paddling pool for children. True, it is not so small when it is full of water.
The dining room consists of three large halls, one of which is for VIP clients (junior suites and suites). In the evenings in the courtyard between the dining room and the paddling pool, every day they hold a concert after the disco.
There are enough restaurants and cafes on the territory for an evening pastime.
We lived in a standard room in the main building on the 12th floor. Everything is good, except for short interruptions in hot water during rush hour. The rooms are quite spacious and comfortable, after renovation. In the corridor there is a built-in closet for clothes. The room has new furniture and new imported plumbing. There are two single beds put together, a great sofa, two bedside tables, a table, a small refrigerator, a new small color TV, and a brand new fan. When I checked in, I found that the fan was not working, it was simply broken, apparently by past guests. I did not have to wait long, less than half an hour after contacting the maid, a brand new fan was delivered to my room.
Meals in the dining room are pre-booked the day before. The service is ok, but sometimes I wish the waitresses were quicker. Food quality with varying degrees of success. For those who aren't too picky, it's ok.
For lovers of a beautiful view, the advice is to visit the 13th floor, where there is an open observation deck. The view is just like rocking! However, the floor is in complete disrepair. You can get to it only by stairs from the 12th floor.

For fishing enthusiasts, the advice is to take a fishing rod with you on vacation. From the shore of the lake "Inkit" a small carp is perfectly caught. There's just nowhere to put it.
Nature and Abkhazia is simply amazing, especially in the mountains. At the boarding house at the dining room, tour tickets are always sold. True, we did not go on excursions by bus. During the first exploration of the territory of the boarding house, I met at the main gate of the Pitius with a very friendly "uncle" named Vitaliy. He appears to be in his 60s, white-haired and wearing glasses. He has an old white six, but quite frisky. For a small fee, we traveled with him to almost all the sights. It is much more convenient than with the official bus tour. Wherever they wanted, they went there. We stayed where we wanted and for as long as we wanted. Buses with tourists pass and do not stop in many interesting places, they have a limited route! On narrow mountain roads, buses simply cannot park. And he stopped in the car, warmed up, took a leisurely picture, beauty!
At the main parking lots, tourists will come out of the bus in a huge crowd, arrange a crush near their favorite place, a queue is immediately organized to take pictures, run-run, into the bus and drove on. And we, as “white” people, don’t want to go for a walk, take a picture of how many flash drives are enough. We also visited Stalin's dacha, Khrushchev's in the same place, which is located in a wonderful place on the shore of the Ritsa mountain lake. So far, tourists are not taken there by large buses at all.
Vitaly was always in the role of an experienced guide. From him we learned a lot about the history of Abkhazia, heard many legends and stories, including about the war between Abkhazia and Georgia. And in general, what can I say - WORLD MAN this "uncle" Vitaly !!!
For those who are interested, you can find him at the main gate of the Pitius boarding house, tell Vadim from the Internet, he will understand, and you are guaranteed a great trip! He did not have a phone at that time, but you can try to find him by this phone 8-995-44.4-70-59 Khagush (this is a surname) Vitaly.

In general, who loves a relaxing holiday, the feeling of "airiness and spaciousness" on the beach, a minimum of fuss, and has not had time to get used to five-star hotels and service, then this is the place for you!
