Tormented by nostalgia for Abkhazia, visited this country many times before the war (1992). I persuaded my husband and son to spend their holidays in Abkhazia this year, in particular in this boarding house. In April we booked for the period from 08/01/2010 to 08/13/2010 two rooms for myself and my son. We ordered a transfer, we were met at the airport in Sochi, crossed the border, delivered quickly and efficiently to the boarding house - no complaints about this.
And then the most interesting began. The administrator of the boarding house told us: "There are NO PLACES!!! ". I was somewhat taken aback, since all the documents were issued by the travel agency (voucher, contract, payment documents). Of course, I read on the websites that in Abkhazia there are problems with resettlement in terms of the mismatch of living conditions, but so that they categorically declare the absence of places and at the same time, without a shadow of a doubt, turn around and leave, leaving dumbfounded vacationers in the middle of the hall, this will not be dreamed of in bad dream.
Being far from home (return tickets on 08/14/2010, the availability of funds is moderate), we had no choice but to starve the administration. They are there "grated rolls" to all one answer: "Make claims to the travel agency", but this can only be done upon returning to St. Petersburg. Further, we were informed that a refusal had been sent against us (to whom, where and when was not reported). On proposals to show us a copy of the refusal with a notification of its receipt by someone and a payment order for the return of funds to the travel agency, the administration referred to Sunday and the absence of authorized persons, showing us a printout from a computer where it was written with a ballpoint pen against our names " refusal".

At the first moment, I did not even find what to answer to such stupidity and impudence. Further, having decided that it was necessary to act according to their method, we occupied the administration office and, sitting comfortably on the sofa, declared that we would not leave this room until the paid services were provided to us. After lengthy negotiations, we agreed to leave for another Aitar boarding house in Sukhumi, for the implementation it was necessary to pay an additional 12 thousand rubles, but we were offered luxurious living conditions for Abkhazia (luxury - a separate two-story cottage, air conditioning, two bathrooms, etc. ). e. )
Now reading the reviews on this site, I think about how lucky we are. In "Aitar" we were greeted by friendly staff, special thanks to Sima, wonderful canteen workers headed by Maxim (who worked at "Myusser" last year), in general, everything was great. On the territory of the boarding house there is a wonderful cafe-karaoke "B-52", where you could have a fun and relaxed evening. Of course, in "Aitar" the sea and air are inferior to what is in "Musser", but not enough to tolerate such an attitude and living conditions, but in everything else there are only pluses.
In general, nostalgia for Abkhazia no longer torments me, but at the same time I admit that we will return to this wonderful country (without irony), but it is only necessary to book a hotel through tour operators who have an agreement with boarding houses in Abkhazia. I recommend to everyone who wants to visit this country - do not go to Mussera, Abkhazia is full of more worthy places.
