Great stay in the "land of the soul"
I want to start right away with the fact that I was at sea for the first time. We traveled with my husband. I watched a lot of sites on the Internet, read a lot of reviews about Abkhazia, and I must say, not all of them are positive. But a great desire to go overcame fear, found a travel agency, booked tours and a transfer. By the way, the travel agency did not disappoint and we are very grateful to him. Then the most interesting thing began, somehow we bought train tickets, of course it was already a reserved seat, until we arrived (25 hours) we slowed down this train at every km, I thought we’d get together. Well, I think everything, the whole holiday will be like this. Came out in Adler, such a dump, and the prices are even worse!!!
But everything turned out great, we were met at the station building, there were quite a lot of vacationers in the Pitsunda defense industry complex, they were placed in a gazelle and taken to the border, there they were handed over to the Abkhaz, who led us across the border, in just about 30-35 minutes, On the other side, a bus was waiting for us again and off we went.
To say that I was shocked would be an understatement. Such beauty! The sea is amazing, the nature is fabulous, the driver was excellent, my husband and I talked to him and he gave us a mini tour, a brief essay about his country, it was very interesting. He even deviated a little from the route and took us all through Gagra.
They drove us to the registration building, we quickly checked in there, previously at the travel agency we were told about each of the Pitsunda military-industrial complex buildings and, of course, advised what was best. We were lucky, they settled us in the first "Apsny" on the second floor. The most ordinary room, there is always water, they fed us there three times and, moreover, I could not always eat everything. Always fresh vegetables and fruits in addition to the main dishes, I really liked it!! ! The sea is 50 meters from the hull, it is really the cleanest, it is not for nothing that the Pitsunda sea is considered the cleanest and most transparent. And we were constantly entertained by a dolphin, who practically lived on the beach, everyone, including locals. his name was "Richie". My husband was even able to ride it a little, he is completely tame, and generally swam very close to the children, and if you give him fish, he began to make such dances, just super! If you are in Abkhazia, you should definitely go on excursions, we really liked it one family, father and daughter were doing tours, everything was very great. Lake Ritz, evening Gagra, N. Athos and N. Athos caves - these are the few places where we visited, in principle we didn’t have time anymore, we were only 7 days, I wanted to lie on the sea. We left on our own, without a transfer, of course, we had to queue longer at the border, but for me personally this is not a problem.
But then at the station I had to wait until the evening for the train, after all, I definitely didn’t like the city of Adler, and what a sea it is to speak and remember it’s scary!
Now I looked through a lot of reviews, it’s very honest to say it’s insulting and unpleasant to read many statements about Abkhazia and Abkhazians. Sometimes, after reading boorish notes, you begin to think that the attitude towards such people is justified there. We must not forget that this is a small, but different country, it has its own customs and customs, and they must be respected. Maybe in some ways there are certainly not five-star resorts, and there are consequences of the war that are not removed, but when compared with many of our cities, I don’t know where you can see more horror, in them or in ours ! ! And as for the "cattle" as many people say, in my opinion, we have more of it than anywhere else, especially in my native region and my hometown of Voronezh. I will say on my own behalf that we were not rude to anyone, and they answered us with sincere friendliness, we will definitely return to Abkhazia again.
