Online reviews and ratings are positive. But it actually turned out worse than expected. Settlement dragged on for 4 hours. Arrived at 15-00, met at the airport and taken to the hotel with comfort. Happy early! The room for three was not ready. Bath accessories for a third person were brought at 11 pm, and the presence of a cup for a third person was not allowed. So they drank tea in turn! In the following days, it was like that: only two people were served, and the third one, as they had to, would either forget to put water on, or put a towel on...... At first they were indignant, but then they spat and did not spoil their nerves. I realized that this is what the calculation is for - they will talk, they say, and calm down. The room is nice spacious, everything is provided - iron, kettle. Nice balcony. As for nutrition. I read in a review that the restaurant serves a variety of meats and fish. Even strange. . . nothing but sausages and ham. Everything is the same every day without options. And there they wrote about some kind of eggnog! The first time I've heard! The food does not match the stars that are painted under the sign of the hotel! At best - 3 stars! They also wrote about the deposit. So, the deposit is buried without any of your desires! Moreover, when we booked the hotel, we did not know about it. We learned about the deposit upon check-in. So it's not true that they don't take a deposit. When you move out, they will give it back, but you may not have time to change it back to the currency. It all depends on what time you are leaving. It is very uncomfortable! I would like to warn tourists that during excursions the time of the excursion can be reduced. So the guide decided (the weather is bad) and that's it - we went back together! Without asking all the participants of the tour. That's actually all that overshadowed our holiday! But the country is worth the trip! Amazing country! I began to respect the people who decorated the desert so! A country worthy of respect. I highly recommend visiting Dubai! As for the hotel: your choice, maybe such a hotel will suit you.

When I was last in the UAE, I really fell in love with this hotel.
Although, believe me, I had something to compare with. Before that I lived in Hilton Dubai Jumeirah 5*, Le royal meridien 5*, Millenium Plaza 5*. . .
What made me fall in love with this hotel? - THIS IS THE VIEW!!!
The view from the window is amazing. It opens on the "Dubai Venice" - officially the area is called Dubai Marina and is one of the most elite and young areas of Dubai, located near the coast of Jumeirah. Before your eyes appears a view of the bay, surrounded by the skyscrapers of Dubai. I have heard Dubai referred to as the "city of the future" more than once. Indeed, the whole architecture is made in a futuristic style. Beauty, and more!
Well, now for the fact:
- new hotel (2011)
- all rooms are very spacious, even huge. Feel free to travel with kids!
- the rooms have an area reserved for a kitchenette: several lockers, a kettle, a coffee machine, a mini-fridge.
- TVs - only flat. There are Russian channels.
- large balcony
- free gym, sauna.
- food (even for breakfast) is very varied and complete.
- There is a free shuttle service to the beach. Likewise in shopping malls.
Yes, there is a minus in this hotel - the entrance is only through the underground parking. Then you immediately get to the reception. But how many pluses.

I prepared to wait for the check-in until lunch (as always and everywhere it happens... ), but they were very pleasantly surprised by the instant resettlement, and at my request that the child would be interested if the windows were overlooking Dubai Marina, they were treated with understanding.
We were settled in a room on the 12th floor with an amazing view of one of the bedrooms on Dubai Marina. And we paid for the usual 2-bed room. And we got a 3-room suite with 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen!! ! In the kitchen: oven, microwave, refrigerator with freezer, dishwasher, all necessary utensils, washing machine, coffee maker, electric. a kettle with tea, coffee and sugar replenished daily, plus a bottle of water per person.
The room is huge! The repair is new, the furniture is new, white leather sofas, a safe for free, slippers, white bathrobes, plasma TVs in every room, room cleaning every day, and they will also ask when it is convenient for you to be cleaned, email. scales are a trifle, but nice : )
The staff is very polite and helpful. Starting from the check-in, quickly and efficiently, they will take you to the desired floor on the elevators, if you, God forbid, stand and wait for the elevator for more than a minute, they will immediately contact you by radio and send you immediately : ) How nice! If you enter the service elevator, immediately all the attendants in it will leave and go where you need to.
The beach is right across the LP floor. At the exit from the hotel you get towels, an umbrella, a beach bag and a bottle of water.
We liked the food. Everything is delicious and fresh. Vegetables, fruits (pineapples, watermelons, melons, apples, oranges, bananas). Kashi. Omelettes are prepared according to your taste, sausages, sausages, cheeses, potatoes, grilled vegetables, beans, pastries, juices. We bought dinners - 130 AED per person, the child is free. Several types of meat, salmon, shrimp, fish, soups, I liked everything.
Near the hotel (through the exit from the LP floor) there is a supermarket where everything is available (vegetables, fruits, delicious not diluted; ) juices, chilled meat products, ready-made food - you can warm up and eat in the room, delicious pastries)
We didn't take any tours, we all looked on our own. We went by taxi to Abu Dhabi (mosque, Ferrari park). Unusual beauty!!!
In Dubai, only by metro - cheap, comfortable, most importantly, without traffic jams. The metro in Dubai is a separate issue - in short - it is luxurious!! ! Buy a card per person and report on it the amount you need. Everything is simple!
In Dubai Mall we went on an excursion to the aquarium-tunnel + zoo + fish feeding. The child really liked it! Kindzania is also located there. The most wonderful children's country! Take your kids there, you won't regret it! Delight sea!!!
Also in the Dubai Mall, a singing fountain is a must-see. We were in Barcelona too, we saw a fountain there, they are different, they cannot be compared! The Dubai Fountain against the backdrop of the Burj Khalifa in the evening. . . Friends, this is a fairy tale!!!
Golden Souk. . . Look at the kilo necklaces and golden nipples - no more! There is no jewelry sophistication in their products - this is how I would characterize Arab jewelry : )
Mall Ibn Batuta is very beautiful and unusual. Go take a look. The mall is divided into several zones, each themed and individually decorated.
In the Emirates, children's clothes are of very good quality and at a very cheap price. Shop Baby Shop just pleasantly surprised!
The outlet was not impressed. But who needs a free transfer from the Hilton, you need to go to this hotel and find out when and how much there (just don't say that you are from another hotel ; ) )
Choose this hotel and don't hesitate! Don't overpay for 5's! Well, you will get champagne for starters - and, as you know, they only drink it in the morning... well, you know who; ))

I will try to describe the hotel in more detail, so that you can make your informed choice. Just as a theater begins with a hanger, so a hotel must begin with a parking lot and a reception. BUT: the Ramada does not have a platform, the entrance to the reception is through a communal underground parking (which has a more beautiful painted part that belongs to the hotel itself). Of course, not a great start. Actually, as it turned out later, the ramada is one of 7 roughly identical high-rise buildings in the block, there is a huge parking lot under the whole block. Of the 7 buildings, 2 are hotel buildings: the Ramada and the second building of the Hilton. I was very glad that we did not take the Hilton, because. it would be $2.000 thrown away. Then we get to a small reception desk of a ramada for 2 employees. The guys work quickly and well, there are practically no queues for settlement. But only one Kazakh girl speaks a powerful language, the rest are Chinese and other nations do not speak Russian, communication is only in English. They asked for a deposit of more than 100 dollars, but then they lowered it to 300 dirhams (I realized that this is the minimum for a room). We did not ask not to pay a deposit, because. We arrived at the hotel only at 23-00, very tired because of the delay of the plane. The check-out deposit is returned quickly, except for the one you used (everything in the minibar is quite expensive). I advise those who drink alcohol to take with them from the duty free, alcoholic cocktails in the hotel are more expensive than $ 10. Elevators 3, not long to wait, but once they all stopped for 20 minutes. We went down from the 9th floor on foot, and who is on the 30th floor ? Rooms: Our brother's room is mostly low. Maybe higher priced rooms are located, I don't know. Our 2 families settled on the 8th and 9th floors. Then I saw how the Russians were settled on the 1st floor. During the conversation during the settlement, we asked for rooms with a view of the marina. I had a larger room (2 adults + 1 child a separate place), friends for two had a smaller room and no balcony. The reception did not pay extra for the rooms. I advise you to pretend to smoke, then they will give a room with a balcony. I don’t smoke, but I like to drink coffee, read a book (and just go out for a breath of air) on the balcony, so it was important for me. The view of the marina is not oh what, but the view "on the plaza" is a view of several neighboring houses and the roof of the store located below (that is, no one at all, the sea is not visible). What is very bad with a view of the marina is a rather busy street located under the windows. And since former camel drivers prefer tuned supercars and motorbikes (read - screaming "straight lines" without pampering like a silencer), it's impossible to sleep with an open window. Even my house is quieter. Yes, and some repairs are underway on this street, but for all the time the equipment made noise only 1 time. In the rooms we had kettles, stocks of coffee, tea, min. water (replenished daily), an ironing board with an iron (that is, you don’t need to carry stocks of things). But there is nothing to dry things, we have adapted a suitcase stand. The rooms are new, clean, no defects.
Next: breakfast. Breakfast from 6.30 to 10.30, at peak time 8.30-9.30 there is a queue for providing tables for up to 15-20 minutes. Breakfast itself, I would say "very poor". The assortment is like in city hotels, not resort hotels. I took daily scrambled eggs, sausages, coffee. But they didn't go hungry. I don’t see any reason to take dinner, because. Expensive, and there are plenty of cafes and restaurants around. I’ll write right away that restaurants on the seashore and on the marina are about the same price, cheap cafes on the 2nd floor of the marina mall. In any case, it will not be more expensive than in a hotel. There is a market and a Starbuck cafe next to the hotel building. The market has everything you need (except alcohol, of course), they take dollars. The hotel has no territory at all, a common courtyard with neighboring residential buildings. The hotel's swimming pool is located on the roof of the market. I would rather say, a "paddling pool" with a depth of 0.9 to 1.2 m, a length of 15 meters. There are about 40 sun loungers and 8 chairs near the pool (and this is on 42 floors of the hotel). Naturally, at 8.30 everything is already taken. By 13 sunbeds are slowly released. Mostly children flounder in the pool, as an adult cannot swim in it (the pool is small and shallow). Water temperature 27-30 gr. celsius. Towels can be taken directly from the pool.
Next is the sea. Towels are taken from the hotel. Walking to the sea through a huge dusty parking lot - I don’t understand such pleasure (probably, only in summer with a heat of +40 it makes sense). We liked the walk over the Hilton bridge and then down the elevator. Distance to the sea 5-10 minutes, depending on your speed data. The beach is large and sandy. The sea is clean and warm. There is some rubbish on the beach (public, but what can you do). There are only dressing rooms. There are NO toilets or sheds. If you plan to go to the beach every day, do not skimp on a hotel umbrella 60 AED. (payment once for the entire period of residence), otherwise you will burn 100%. There is a volleyball net, take your ball.
The promenade along the embankment is banal, so once was enough for us. We walked more along the marina, it was somehow calmer there. The marina is 5 minutes walk.
To the metro (37th station) walk 10-15 minutes. But, since there were five of us, there was no point in the metro for us, we moved by taxi. Hotel taxis for 10-15 AED. They will cost more than municipal ones, the comfort is about the same.
There is NO entertainment in the hotel (animation, etc. ). There is a gym on the 1st floor, in which there are 2 tiny saunas (M and F separately). There is a cafe on the 35th floor. That's like everything.
Summing up, I can quote our guide: “Ramada is a city hotel that happened to be next to the sea. ”
PS: I forgot to mention the staff. All of the hotel employees were kind, smiling and accommodating people. Honestly, not a single bad moment, only positive emotions.
I wish you all a good holiday!

We chose the hotel at the last moment, because. Prior to this, during the week received two refusals from other hotels. But they were happy with the choice. The hotel is located in a good area, although on the second line but close to the beach and promenade. Settled quickly, did not take a deposit, but there was no minibar. At the reception there are two Russian-speaking managers Anar and Karim, which of course is very convenient. The room is spacious, beautiful, a huge bed and there is a small kitchen area with a kettle (which was convenient, given the presence of a small child). The child was provided with a free crib. At breakfast, the assortment, as they wrote, is monotonous, but it will turn out to be a tasty snack. From fruits - watermelon, melon (green), grapefruit, apples, bananas, pineapples, oranges and canned pineapples and peaches. True, in bad weather, a queue formed at the entrance. The beach is large and not many people, but dirty (mostly cigarette butts). Construction near the beach is almost inaudible. The water is clean and invigorating. During our week-long vacation, there was one rainy day, then windy, it was comfortable on the beach somewhere from 11-15, then it was already cool.
Certainly not without shopping. We went to the Dubai Mall - a huge number of people, mostly branded stores, were horrified by the queue for a taxi, but we had to stand. I liked the Mall of the Emirates more, the main purchases were made there, a small minus - for some reason there are no places to rest, there is nowhere to sit except for a cafe. The queue for a taxi was shorter, but also moved more slowly. Marina mall is 15 min. walk from the hotel, you can also skimp there, there is also a large supermarket, but with baby food the choice is not very good. We went to Marina Jumeirah, the so-called. Venice is not a bad place, beautiful architecture, lots of souvenir shops. But I thought you could walk more along the canals there, but it turned out that the hotel occupies a large area, and everything is in cafes and restaurants near the water. It turned out a walk through the bazaar)))). Taxi for vacation is not expensive, but not for nothing. You can’t call discounts crazy in stores, just the accumulation of all famous brands in one mall is certainly convenient. They skimped on the fur in the store on the promenade, the Russian girls served very politely and lost 35% of the declared price. The hotel forgot to congratulate my husband on DR, I reminded at the reception, apologized, said that there was a malfunction in the computer program and the next day they brought a fruit platter and a cake (small but tasty). Of course, the availability of free internet is sooooo convenient, and such little things as a bathrobe, slippers, towels for the beach.
In general, the holiday was a success - such a combination of a beach holiday in winter and shopping with discounts. Happy with the trip and the hotel too.
on the way back, there was an unpleasant situation at the airport, when my husband and me with a one-year-old child were put at different ends of the plane ((((. On the plane, it turned out that everyone was scattered around the cabin like that, even a mother with a three-year-old son was put separately. The stewardess said that fight with drinking companies. Therefore, I advise you to strongly ask at check-in to put them together. Have a good holiday!

Some rooms without balcony. We were given a choice of several, chosen with a balcony and two beds. Special thanks to the receptionist Anar, who was very attentive and responded to any requests. The view of the Thinkmarina from the 14th floor is amazing. In the room, in addition to what was stated in the description, there was a coffee maker of the "cappuccinatore" type, a DVD player. Bathrobes and towels were changed every day, on request - and more often. Room cleaning twice a day. They put water - two bottles of 0.5 liters, regardless of the number of people living in the room.
It’s really 5 minutes to the beach, the main thing is to find the way, since along the entire promenade and to the right and left of the Hilton there is a solid fence enclosing the construction site. The guests of the Hilton were not lucky, half of the hotel had full windows on a grandiose construction site with heavy machinery and pile drivers.
For children there is no entertainment either in the hotel or in the vicinity, not a single swing.
There is a shuttle service from the hotel to the Emirates Mall twice a day. It takes 30-40 minutes by taxi to Dubaimall, depending on the traffic, at a price of around 100-150 dirhams round trip. You can also take the metro - 11 dirhams round-trip, children under 5 years old are free. To the subway on foot across the bridge - 10 minutes. It’s better not to plan trips by taxi and public transport on Thursday evening and Friday, they have a day off, everything is packed with builders from neighboring less successful states.

Holidays abroad is not the first time. We rested in the UAE for the second time (earlier, in the fall of 2011, we stayed in Fujairah, Iberotel Miramar5 *). The current vacation is 12 days in August 2012 (partially during Ramadan). I liked the hotel in general. But, I got the impression that it is more suitable for stops during business trips (I do not recommend it for families with children).
The location of the hotel is quite convenient: 1) close to the metro station - try to take the metro in Dubai at least once, which impresses with its cleanliness and comfort. The scheme is simple; the subway in Dubai is mainly ground, respectively, while riding the subway, look at the city); 2)relatively close to shopping malls. 5 minutes walk to the beach (crossing the road). As such, the hotel does not have territory, there are similar skyscrapers nearby. In the roadway area (not far from the hotel) construction work is underway (as in all of Dubai, however); but that didn't really bother us.
In the evening, the walk is quite lively (especially outside of Ramadan); walked there almost every day.
The rooms are spacious, clean, new and modern. We had a view of Dubai Marina (in the evening it is incredibly beautiful). Cleaning is of high quality, bed linen and towels are changed regularly, bathrobes are changed at the request of the client. (The room has a safe, hairdryer, iron and ironing board; you can ask for an adapter for an electrical outlet at the reception - they will give it for free). Tea, coffee in the room (replenished daily). 1 small bottle of drinking water per person per day (we bought drinking water in a supermarket located right in the courtyard of the hotel). Wi-Fi in the rooms, lobby, restaurant - free of charge.
Staff. Friendly, welcoming, pleasant, responsive. I hope that this is NOT only because, in view of the newness of the hotel, the staff has not yet had time to “spoil”….
Nutrition. We booked on HB. In general, the food is good. Several monotonous breakfasts (for example, porridge was the same for 12 days). Drinks during dinner for an additional fee. Fruits and berries: green and red apples, bananas, oranges, grapefruit, watermelon, melon, papaya (during the first week of rest - then disappeared....), mango (during the first week of rest - then they stopped giving). Breakfasts are standard. Sweets during dinner; for breakfast - pastries (muffins, croissants... ).
Beach. In my opinion, this is the main drawback of the hotel. The beach is urban, not equipped, not quite clean. Cleaners clean it in the morning, but by the end of the day it gets dirty again (I don’t understand, is it really so hard for vacationers to NOT leave empty bottles and hamburger packages on the sand....??? ).
Sea. Very clean, it warmed up significantly by noon (August after all ). You can swim in the sea at any time of the day.
Swimming pool. Very small. We never swam in it.
I would like to note the following: during Ramadan, it was somewhat empty both in the hotel, and on the streets, and on the beach. However, when Ramadan ended and the legal holidays came, in connection with which there was a large influx of guests from neighboring countries. Then we realized that "a kind of emptiness" was more favorable, because. “interruptions” in the operation of the elevators began to be felt in the hotel (let me remind you, the hotel has 42 floors), the beach became crowded...... and what is most unpleasant, this weekend after Ramadan there was such a huge influx of Indians to the beach (they also had days off... ) Hindus, mostly, these were from construction sites, dirty, noisy, wild (they try to film / photograph ANY women in swimsuits), “fragrant” (you know, they use oils intensively (often on an unwashed body) - they are in the order of things), in the amount of 150-200 people... They bathed right in their clothes, apparently to wash it immediately on the body... The police dispersed them on the beach. It was something... I hope that this did not happen again after the official weekend ended, since we, for example, could not relax in such an environment (our vacation ended by the time of the last of the three days of the holiday weekend).
Summing up the above, I think that the hotel is fully consistent with its 4 *. Thank you Rama Plaza JBR for a great vacation : ). The hotel has some flaws that I think can be found anywhere. Decide for yourself. Most importantly, stay positive! Good luck and have a nice holiday!! ! : )
