First time in the UAE. Reviews from friends testified that in the UAE, even a 3 * hotel is like a 5 * hotel in Turkey. We were traveling with children, so we chose "all inclusive", a quiet place, first line, hotel rating. At first they wanted to go to The Radisson Blu Resort Fujairah (ex. Jal Fujairah), but godfathers rested there and they didn’t really like it. Therefore, at the last moment they changed the hotel to Le Meridien.

PLUSES: definitely the ocean, food (no complaints at all), view from the window (all rooms face the ocean), large balcony with sun loungers and ....EVERYTHING ! ! !


MINUSES: no silence! ! ! - there is an active construction of a neighboring hotel nearby, so it is noisy from 6 in the morning. The number of rooms is outdated and reminded me not even Turkey, but Egypt (I'm talking about the standard). As we were told by hotel workers (Russian speakers), the number of rooms has been updated only on the top three floors (this is in 21 buildings). Surface cleaning. None on the balcony. Towels on the sun loungers of the balcony have never been changed for weeks (although we didn’t lie on them)! ! !
In my humble opinion, the hotel is not quite ready to receive Russian-speaking tourists (the menu in all restaurants is in English and Arabic, taxis working at the hotel, not only in Russian, but also in English, do not speak very well / we were told about this at the reception /, from the staff, a couple of people understood Russian / at the reception-2, animators-2, waiter-1, bartender-1/) and this despite the fact that the hotel is populated by 95% Russian speakers. The territory of the hotel is small, there is nowhere to walk in the evening. Behind the hotel you can only walk to the neighboring hotel. Go to Dubai (without a guide, but with an English-speaking Indian driver) by taxi - 1.5 hours there + 1.5 back + visiting the sights of the city = 250 USD. e. (I recommend leaving in the morning). In a nearby more or less decent supermarket LU-LU - there / back about 20-30 USD. e. (20 min. on the road).
The all-inclusive system implies the need to constantly sign receipts for drinks consumed in bars (including tea and coffee).
You do not need to pay these checks, but you have to fill them out (indicate the room number, last name, sign). All this is not difficult, but when I have two children + me + wife + mother (take some water, then a milkshake, then an hour, then coffee, then beer, then wine .... ) I honestly pleasantly remembered good Turkey. Although it should be noted that if you are served beer or wine, then the glass must be from the refrigerator and it is normal (in the sense of a beer glass with a capacity of 0.5 liters, not 0.25, as in Egypt).
The children's pool was closed all the time. The beach has a blue flag marked 2013-2014. As for me, among other things, it implies the cleanliness of the beach. At the same time, SMOKING on the beach! ! ! Which in itself is not pleasant for me as a non-smoker. And instead of throwing a cigarette butt in the trash, which is near every pair of sun loungers, some tourists, out of Soviet habit, bury it in the sand!

In general, we discovered Fujairah for ourselves and now we have closed it.
We have the opinion that if you go to the UAE, then only to Dubai or Abu Dhabi, albeit more expensive, but at least you understand what you are paying for. And in Fujairah (in addition to our hotels, we also looked at Fujairah Rotana Resort, The Radisson Blu Resort Fujairah, Miramar Al Aqah Beach Resort - all 5 *), this vacation is not worth the money that tour operators ask for it (my personal opinion).

A separate word about the meeting party, the partner of NEWS Travel (our tour operator) - AL KHALIDIAH TOURISM. I did not expect such a meeting in a country of prosperous capitalism: an old, dirty, decrepit Toyota bus. There was no guide to or from the airport. Minimal story about the country too. explanations of what, where and where at the airport did not wait. Luggage was transported in the cabin of the bus. After that, I understood why those who are not the first time to rest order an individual transfer. The guide at the hotel - BELLA - behaved passively.
