The road from the airport to the hotel is 40 kilometers, but it took almost 2 hours - other tourists were transported for a very long time. The road is partially on the highway. partly along Durres (people were dropped off in a couple of hotels), and the longest drive was along the Golem - firstly, there is a country road in places, and secondly, tourists settled for a long time.
Hotel.
In appearance, everything is stiff and pretentious - chandeliers in gold, marble, etc. , etc. But partly there are still repairs and construction.
Territory.
She doesn't exist as such. Lobby and reception, left and right elevators to different buildings. Behind the reception is a restaurant. You leave the restaurant to the pool. To the left of the pool - paid bar, looks good. To the right of the exit from the restaurant - an all-inclusive bar - very indispensable) For drinks - beer, red and white wine (good wines), cognac, brandy, sweet water. juices.
From 16-30 to 17 they give ice cream. The beach is right behind the pool. This is the whole area. I must say right away that there is no playground for children. There is no entertainment for children.
The hotel rests mainly pensioners from Europe - many Poles and Czechs, Germans, Italians. the English. In the last three days, a little more families with children and tourists of non-retirement age have appeared.
Number
We got a room in building A, on the 5th floor - 506A. Standard room with road view. At first glance, everything looked great, but in fact - it stank of sewage from the bathroom, the hood was noisy. There were interruptions with water - and at the most inopportune moments - either in the morning you can’t wash yourself, then you can’t take a shower in the evening. Also the bathroom is very stuffy. Wi-Fi caught intermittently in the bathroom. Also one day on the 6th floor, the workers decided to repair the railing and drilled with a drill - got up and asked to stop.
I complained to the reception - they said it only a couple of minutes, although in fact they worked for more than half an hour. The room has a comfortable bed, but there were uncomfortable pillows, but this is all individually. There is a refrigerator, TV (local channels), hair dryer, shampoo and shower gel, slippers. The room has a balcony.
We went with friends and they got the number either 111A or 101A. According to them, the room was terrible - access to the construction site, the balcony came into contact with the unfinished building where the renovation was going on - and there were noisy works. There was no refrigerator. As a result, they spent two days replacing the room with nerves and got a room for three with a sea view)
Cleaned every day, but in different ways. Now carefully, then for the sake of it))
Beach and sea
I really reminded Zatoka))) I can’t call it clean - there were enough gobies in the sand ((The sea is dirty - algae and sometimes packages come across ((Over the sea, you definitely need to go to the SOUTH! The sea is shallow - 100 meters knee-deep. The beach itself is wide, there were enough sunbeds .
Retirees occupy coming to the sea from 6 am. On the beach they carry fruits, popcorn, boiled corn, donuts, fried corn) Traders do not stick.
Food
Just enough. There is meat and fish. Lots of salads. The vegetables are tasty, but the meat is somehow bland. But again, it's all individual. What was pleasing was the fruit - a lot and in sufficient quantities - watermelons, melons, cherries, nectarines, 3 types of apples, pears, bananas, oranges. And I liked the mussels in shells. Delicious sweets, although the choice is small. Natural cheeses.
Near the hotel at the point Fafa Information - to the left of the exit from the hotel behind the parking lot you can rent a car. Photo prices. We rented for 3 days and are very satisfied.
Outside the hotel there is a country "road" along which there are hotels and apartments. Lots of mini markets and cafe bars. There is nowhere to walk especially there, but it is suitable for an evening promenade. You can also walk along the sea)
To sum up, I would like to say that the hotel seems to be good, but a lot of little things spoil the impression. To see and feel Albania you have to go to the south - Vlora, Saranda, Ksamil. Durres will not give those dreams that you expect from Albania.
