I must say right away that we were at the height of the season.
The staff is small, lazy, the room is cleaned daily, but at most the dirty foot towels will be folded back onto the toilet tank and toilet paper will be brought. On the third day, after a complaint to the reception, towels and bed linen were replaced, but then everything happened again. On the table, one could literally write a review on a layer of dust.
Half of the rooms do not have a balcony - keep this in mind when booking. There is also nowhere to dry things after the beach, after the third reminder they can bring a dryer.
A separate topic is food, the hotel positions itself exclusively on the basis of supposedly all incl. , in fact, three meals a day. Local wine, rakia, beer and yupi are poured from drinks, with coffee from one machine. Water is paid, coffee is normal for a fee, any non-alcoholic drink such as Pepsi, Fanta and even just sparkling water is for a fee.
There is zero variety in food, one or two desserts, seasonal fruits, overcooked snacks from zucchini, eggplant and french fries, a couple of plates with chopped herbs and vegetables a la salads, rice, spaghetti, overdried meat and something from fish. For children, there is no choice at all.
You can’t take food yourself, they are recruiting staff, which is why there is an eternal queue. A separate quest - to get a plate, cutlery and a corny glass! There is never anything, the staff barely moves, they pretend that they do not even understand English for all requests and complaints.
Yes, the sea saves and smooths out many shortcomings, and it was immediately clear that there would not be a good 5 * level like in Turkey or Egypt, but they didn’t count on such darkness either.
About minor shortcomings, such as flashing lamps in the hall, falling off lanterns, a meter by meter pool with the smell of bleach up to the second floor and three sunbeds, the eternal smell of burning from cooking, construction outside the window, the lack of a full-fledged entrance - only through the backyard and smelly elevator, who is in no hurry, like the Albanians themselves, they don’t even want to write.

We are used to 5*. This is a huge hotel with grounds and pools. There are such hotels in Albania, but you will pay 3 times more for them.

The hotel is new, everything is clean and shiny, which is missing. Convenient location - on the right is the Adriatic, on the left is the Ionian Sea. And what a view from the restaurant! Yes, the only negative is the construction of a nearby hotel. And then you remember him when you go to the beach. (You can't see or hear the construction site in the rooms). And this is NOT a con of the hotel.
Albanians are very good-natured and friendly people! From the countries we can visit during COVID, I will choose Albania, Vlora, and this hotel! Thanks Aler! Thanks to Saliy Tanya (Let's go with us). Health to you all! Prosperity and many positive customers!

Flight (2 hours) and transfer to the hotel (2.5 hours) went well. The guide on the bus "dissuaded" the mandatory program and that's it. Check-in at the hotel is fast, according to previously allocated rooms.
Rooms are standard, with balconies on the 1st floor. Wi-Fi worked fine. Cosmetic supplies included bottled shampoo and soap. There were also white slippers with the Aler logo : ) which were torn on the 2nd day and a hair dryer. Linen and towels changed regularly + daily cleaning. There is no bottled water in the hotel, only from a cooler.
On the balcony there is a plastic table and two chairs. There was no drying.
The hotel has no territory. There is construction going on nearby, they were digging a pit and reinforcing piles. This must be taken into account when you check into a hotel.
The hotel's own beach is a 5-minute walk away. Sunbeds with dirty mattresses and cane umbrellas. Dirty, although the beach-boy type cleans up. But this is the Albanian standard, it's dirty all around. Sand mixed with stones and cigarette butts. There are no changing rooms, no shower and toilet, there is no beach : ) The sea is good. The shortest way to the beach is through the "service lift", on the -4th floor. In the hall (-4) and on the stairs, if you go on foot - dirty and shabby, blooming walls. There were a couple of cases when someone confused the entrance with the toilet.
Restaurant on the 5th floor on an open terrace. The view is beautiful. We ate buffet style. They did not quite understand the “anti-epidemic measures” in the restaurant, when only a waiter without a mask and gloves can impose dishes. Sometimes there were queues. Strained "to stand with outstretched hand. " The dishes are not signed, you have to guess that "in a saucepan. " Most of the food is cold. There are no spices on the tables, you have to take it yourself. The dishes are quickly removed by the waiters. In general, the kitchen is normal, did not go hungry.
Did not understand the Albanian system "all inclusive". The drinks bar operated on some mysterious schedule, and you have to pay to have coffee after you finish your meals.
I also didn’t like the “joke” with the “searches” of the rooms by the cleaners, who took everything edible from the rooms. They took away the fruits (peaches) that we bought in the supermarket. At the reception, in broken English, the girl explained that the manager forbids bringing food to the room. If there are such “rules”, then this should be brought to the attention of tourists before buying a tour to this hotel, and not “arranging a quest - find your products”. In the room, a printout in Russian hangs on the door, which says ". . . it is forbidden to take food out of the restaurant... " and that's it. I really didn't like this case.
In the corridors of the hotel, there are protruding lamps on the walls, hanging at a level of 1.5 m from the floor, you can hit your head if you are not careful.
As previously written in the reviews, the staff does not speak Russian, despite the fact that the hotel has almost all Russian-speaking tourists (Belarusians, Ukrainians).
No need to compare Albanian 5 stars with Turkey. The hotel is 3 stars at best.

We rested at the beginning of September. Flight, transfer to the hotel (2.5 hours), passed as standard. The guide on the bus has been working recently, so the information is only the most necessary, brief (15 minutes)). Check in to the hotel is fast. There are 2 packages with a snack on the handle of the room (a sandwich, an apple, a bottle of water), so we didn’t have time for dinner. … More ▾ We rested at the beginning of September. Wi-Fi catches, including in the room.
The meeting with the guide took a maximum of half an hour, brief, sometimes useful information (what kind of butter to buy, what sweets, what kind of cheese, etc. )), the tour did not impose. It was difficult to answer more complex questions, since she has been working recently.
The room is standard, cosmetic accessories are available (they are added, but not in full assortment, they can put 4 bottles of shampoo and 2 body gels, and another time they can put it the other way around)), there is a hairdryer and slippers. Water is not brought to the room, cleaning is regular, regardless of whether you put a tip or not, linen and towels are changed on schedule. There are no complaints about cleaning, but we didn’t litter))). On the balcony there is plastic furniture and drying (if there is no drying, demand, they will provide))
The hotel has no territory, 5 steps from the hotel entrance - a swimming pool (2 * 2.5 meters in size, maybe a little less) and about six sunbeds. There were no guests around the pool
The beach is a 5-minute walk (in order not to make a detour from the main entrance, you can shorten the path through the service elevator). On the way to the beach, there are fountains with water, and the locals collect it. The beach has no identification marks (unlike the neighboring 4 *), showers, changing cabins, toilets - no. Beds and mattresses are not the first freshness, there are enough places. Algae from the beach is periodically removed. Fruit vendors walk along the beach, but they are not particularly intrusive)) On the beach, sometimes, it catches the Internet from the neighboring Yacht Hotel
Meals are imposed by waiters, the dishes are not signed, and because of the restrictive counter (1.5 meters from the distribution), it is not always clear and clear what kind of dish is in the tray. The waiters don't speak Russian.
Breakfast - eggs (boiled, fried, scrambled eggs), three types of fried sausages, croutons, breakfast cereals (two types), tomatoes, cucumbers, three types of cheese (salted), croissants, pastries, watermelon, melon, tea (in assortment), coffee from the machine (cappuccino, espresso, etc. ).
Lunch and dinner: 3 types of soup, 2-3 types of meat (chicken, beef (dry), pork), pasta or pasta, porridge or stew, french fries, mussels or sea cocktail, fish. Salads (everywhere a lot of lettuce and onions) with tomatoes or cucumbers, with tuna, 2-3 types of cakes (highly recommend, such as tiramisu)), rice pudding or chocolate, watermelon, melon or apples and grapes. Tea and coffee from the same machine.
We liked the food (according to our taste), but there were situations when lunch starts at 12.00, and hot food is not ready until 12.30 (respectively, a queue is formed). There are interruptions with dishes (especially cups). If a dish is over, you will have to wait 15-20 minutes. Half an hour before the end, nothing is replenished. The waiters work well, quickly clean the dishes and tables, they try.
Alcohol: beer, white and red wine, whiskey, cognac and crayfish - local production. Wine - light, semi-dry (poured into glasses), we didn’t try the rest of the alcohol (strong alcohol is poured into plastic cups of 50 g)), but it was popular, especially beer)). Theoretically, the bar is open from 10 am, but the bartender is not there at half past twelve, there are no drinks yet. In general, it is not very convenient that there is only one bar and is located on the 5th floor, at the restaurant. Apparently, the calculation is that they are too lazy to rise often)))
Near the hotel: 15-20 minutes walk to the nearest beach on the Ionian Sea (through the transition), to the left of the beach or by minibus (100 lek per person), stops near the courts (basketball and tennis), or a taxi $ 4-5. You can also get to more distant beaches by minibus or taxi. Entrance to the beaches is free, umbrella + 2 deck chairs = 500 lek. The entrance to the sea is large pebbles and cobblestones, you need special shoes.
To Vlora, 20-30 minutes on foot or by local bus (the final one is near the fountain, the fare is 30 lek per person), or $ 5-6 by taxi. On the way to Vlora - cafes, supermarkets.
Currency: the exchange rate was 1 euro = 123 leks, 1$ = 103 leks. You can pay with both local money and euros (but at the rate = 120), change is given in local currency. Dollars are not taken everywhere (at the rate = 100)
The staff does not speak Russian (at all), despite the fact that the hotel has more than 90% of Russian-speaking tourists (Belarusians, Ukrainians) for the second season in a row))
In general, they were satisfied with the rest, but according to my feelings, this is clearly not 5 *.

They cleaned well, but the bed was changed on the sixth night, in the morning we flew away. They do not know Russian, not everyone understands English. Service some children-students. Gee-gi, ha-ha and that's it. The country itself is just DIRTY. Rubbish all around. They do not completely remove the word. There are no changing rooms, showers, bars, etc. on the beaches. 2 star hotel max. All in all a waste of money. Although the Ionian Sea is good, there is no service. I do not advise.

I want to say right away - when you choose a country for a vacation, study the country itself, the mentality, and then choose hotels! If you are fans of the all-inclusive Turkey and Egypt, then Albania will definitely not suit you!
And now in order:
The hotel itself is new, clean, good furniture, new plumbing. If you are landscape lovers, buy rooms with a terrace overlooking the sea - this is something! Standard rooms with sea view have their own peculiarity, the view will be LATERAL, some rooms do not have balconies, keep in mind! In general, your agents should explain such nuances, the hotel is not to blame for anything! The behavior of our tourists is very upsetting, having bought the cheapest room they demand a suite, this is ridiculous!
Meals: there is something to choose from, there are always several types of soup, meat, fish, french fries, rice, salads, fruits (watermelon, melon, apples, grapes). There was always seafood (a mix of mussels, small shrimps, octopuses). This year, due to covid, the staff arranges the food themselves. Yes, sometimes there is not enough staff, but we must understand that the tourism sector is weak everywhere this year and works almost to zero, so it is not reasonable to demand more staff, as the cost of the hotel will immediately increase.
Last year, my discerning tourists rested in this hotel, everything was at the highest level, they were very satisfied. The wine is delicious, beer, amazing sweets, especially Panna Cota and the local sweet three milks. These are our favourites. The guys are trying. Yes, they are young, but they are trying. The restaurant is located on the 7th (sort of) floor, which offers a wonderful view of the Adriatic Sea and the city. The view is especially mesmerizing in the evening! Yes, you can have a more varied menu, but you can only take breakfast at the hotel and eat in cafes and restaurants (it's not expensive). So for those who have little variety, do not take All Inclusive in Europe) and you will be happy))))
The rooms are clean, new furniture, good bedding, mattresses, pillows, air conditioning, TV, refrigerator. The hotel has a rule: you can not store food in the refrigerator, drinks are allowed. If this is big news for someone, then I explain: because of the food, ants can start in the rooms, which is why many hotels prohibit storing food. At the reception you can put food in the refrigerator (for example, the same cheeses, if you bought them home). Housekeeping was good. Towels changed all the time, soap supplies delivered. There are not enough hooks in the bathroom, for drying towels or linen at the reception you can ask for dryers, this is not a problem. We had room 307 - this is the best room in the hotel!!!!!
Beach. the hotel has its own piece of the beach, 5 minutes walk from the hotel from minus 4 floors, sun loungers, umbrellas are free, the sunset is gentle, sandy, very comfortable. Towels deposit or bring your own. no changing rooms, no toilets.
The pool area is small, almost no one uses it, but it is there. For Albanian hotels, the presence of at least a small pool is already good.
Keep in mind, there is rubbish all over Albania, either utilities can’t cope, or tourists are leaving, but be prepared to enjoy incredible landscapes (and they are everywhere in Vlora, since the city is surrounded by mountains) to stumble upon garbage, this is the only thing that upset on vacation. But again, this has nothing to do with the hotel as the hotel itself is clean. The only wish of the hotel is to leave the garbage cans (if possible) from the road near the hotel.
From myself I want to wish the hotel to survive in this difficult period of quarantine and prosperity.
Best regards, Katerina V. Room 307
