Before each trip, voluntarily or not, I look through the reviews, and every time I catch myself thinking: “So someone needs this”; and finally, this year decided to contribute. Last year 2008 the choice was made by my friend and we, knowing this hotel, had nothing against it, although one could argue for the price. We are talking about the Arabella Beach Hotel in Albena. It works on an all-inclusive basis, located at the beginning of the complex next to Kaliakra. They settled us right away, the room turned out to be with a mini-kitchen, which did not suit us, since the space was “stealed” and with the all-inclusive system - the kitchen was superfluous. This didn’t particularly bother me, since the rooms are large, but my friend was not happy (their room went out to a mini, but the road was smoky) after calling the company in Minsk, everything was resolved perfectly and the next day we had a magnificent view of the sea and pool. The room is not small and the extra bed is not a chair, but a sofa. On the 2nd floor of the nomar with huge balconies-terraces, the rooms are completely renovated in modern style with wenge-colored furniture and already built-in air conditioning above the door.
Cleaning and change of linen in accordance with the specified - 1 time in 3 days, towels more often. Of the minuses of the room, I would note the air conditioner above the sofa, as the hotel has been reconstructed and does not have a general air conditioning system. The corridors are stuffy and the elevator is old - a long wait, hot, etc. Meals 3 times buffet; by the pool from 11 to 17.00 snacks, ice cream. Personally, this did not arouse interest in me, after a full breakfast, etc. The children looked at more varied snacks at neighboring Kaliakra (more precisely, the presence of pizza there) and, changing bracelets, ran for pizza. Breakfast - as usual in Bulgaria - eggs in any form, muesli, salads, sausages and ham, cheese and cheese, some baked goods, casserole, porridge and desserts. Tea bags are very good, including herbal tea, coffee from an espresso machine, and boiled. Fruits 3-4 species. Dried fruits - figs, dried apricots, nuts. Lunch is always a choice of 3-4 first and second hot courses, there is a dish from the chef, for example, baked suckling pig, there was always something from Bulgarian dishes. I must say that the meat is natural, the fish in general is rarely good in Bulgaria, but it was here. Separately, a table for the children's kitchen, especially I did not analyze it, the children are Germans, and many of ours preferred french fries or potato figurines. There is not bad wine in the barrel, Bulgarian champagne, strong - more than one kind of brandy, brandy, gin, mastic, etc. , also juices from packages are natural, not to mention yupi.
Very positive for Bulgaria is the sun loungers and umbrellas fixed on the beach. Since we came to the beach at 9, we always occupied our favorite seats on the front row. The sea is warm, without algae and jellyfish, a smooth entrance, not deep. The sand on the beach was sifted and leveled daily.

The pool at Kaliakra was next to ours, the animation at the pool is general - it is 2 times a day for 1-1.5 hours, something like aerobics for adults and games with children. But older children also played in water like water polo, etc. The water is constantly filtered, which does not require a huge amount of bleach, etc. In the evening, animation is on the territory of Kaliakra. I must say, despite the 2nd new building built nearby near Kaliakra and the ultra all inclusive system, and richer food, I would not want to relax there because of the huge number of people, constant queues both at the pool bar and at restaurant, and a shortage of sun loungers on the beach. Albena firmly holds its position, it is the oldest resort and is practically not being built, each hotel is an integral part of the entire resort and does not try to outdo or lure anyone with low prices. Albena is located next to the reserve, has practically no shops, few discos. Wonderful climate, lots of greenery, probably the widest beach strip in Bulgaria. Chosen by the Germans, Scandinavians. In Albena, restaurants and cafes have rather high prices and it is still advisable to go there on a full board basis. About 5-7 years ago there was one of the best youth discos, not for youngsters, but for real student European youth, but last year I was not interested in this issue and I don’t know how things are today. You can walk along the sea for a long time without any stones and breakwaters. So we walked to Kranevo - 1-2 km, where, by the way, there is a “core warehouse”, where it is very profitable to stock up on normal alcoholic drinks for souvenirs, etc.
I liked the rest, teenage children met in the pool (it is clear that the main sea), children can be let go for walks, the resort area is guarded and calm, wonderful evening walks along the sea are convenient, and not only along the street of masters, not intrusive service, good food , proximity to the sea.
