We were in Bulgaria for work and settled in this hotel on the recommendation of the partners we work with. A few days before arriving in Bulgaria, I went to this site and read the reviews about the Azalia Hotel. Who wrote well, who badly, but the rating is normal and I calmed down. But when I arrived in Azalea, I remembered the review "I do not advise those who have already been to good places on vacation. "And so it happened. I'll start everything in order: Even before arriving in Bulgaria, I contacted the hotel and asked in what currency they would accept payment from me, because the price for the rooms was in euros. I was told that it is not in dollars, but they will accept it in euros, but preferably in leva. What a surprise for me was when they didn’t want to accept euros and, of course, settle too !!! I had to take a taxi to go to Varna and change euros to levs. (The price of a taxi was 28 leva, which is about 14 euros). And now, having changed the euro to the left, we are happy to give money back. . . After a 30 hour trip, I imagine washing myself in the shower. . . , but we are told: - You need to wait a little. We arrived at the hotel at 9 am, everyone who came with us had already settled into the rooms!!! We are waiting. . . 30 minutes. . . 40 minutes. . . We approach the reception, in response: A little more, a little. We are waiting again. . . 30 minutes. . . 40 min. . . When will these be finished???? The husband can not stand it goes to the reception. With a crooked face, they answer: - Actually, we have a check-in after 14. Couldn't you have said about this right away??!!! Somehow there is a difference between "slightly" and 5 hours!!! We would go for a walk or check into another hotel, anything is better than sitting on the couch in the lobby for 5 hours. To be clear, we arrived out of season and almost the entire hotel was free. If there was a season and there were no free rooms, I would understand everything. . . What to say about the room. I liked the room, clean, good furniture, two single beds (can be combined), a large and spacious wardrobe, a plasma TV (3 channels in Russian), a mini bar, bathrobes and towels. Of the minuses: the hair dryer did not work and the iron was in the ironing room on the 3rd floor. I had my own hair dryer. The hotel was almost empty, so there was no queue to pet. Loved the food (buffet). Very tasty food and great variety. But as it turned out early rejoiced. . . In Bulgaria at that time there was a big holiday, I don’t know how many days they walked it, but we found it for two days. After the last Bulgarians left the hotel, they began to feed us with what they had not eaten during the holidays. . . It got to the point that the chicken wings simply stank of rotten, and the porridge was sour, the peels of the chopped oranges dried up. It also turned out that neither tea, nor coffee, nor yupi (they called it juice), nor even boiling water are included in the dinner!!! We were brought to the table a decanter of water, which stank of bleach, obviously poured from the tap!!! When they began to find out from the waiters why even boiling water was not allowed, they answered without hesitation: - We have a shortage. Oh my God!!! For 57 euros they can't even pour me boiling water!!! After complaints reached the management of the hotel. Azalea's staff tried to resuscitate. For the last two days, we (these are 10 people from Ukraine and Russia) were well fed and even served tea for dinner. But as they say: Spoons were found, but the sediment remained. From the good: the hotel is very close to the beach, no, not close, it stands on the beach. You leave the hotel and immediately the sea. . . The view from the room is gorgeous. . . There is WiFi in the lobby, not very fast, but there is. Room cleaning is good - clean, but no shampoo, gel, etc. They put a cap and bath salts in the room. There is a warm indoor pool with mineral water, a sauna, a gym - it's free. In a 5-minute walk, there is a shop and a bus stop to get to Varna (travel 1 lev about 0.5 euros). Conclusion: - I can not recommend this hotel!
