In short, it's bad.
3rd time in Bulgaria, rested in 3 stars, but it was much better.
In order:
0) Metropol building;
1) check-in only after 14:00;
2) only 1 elevator out of 4 is working;
3) the rooms are quite spacious, the shower room is a square meter of a tiled wall, beds for 2 of only 2 mattresses, which constantly diverge, were cleaned every day, there was always hot water, soundproofing is good - double-glazed windows, air conditioning can be adjusted, refrigerator (ice cream melts) ;
4) dining room (7:30-10:30.12:00-14:00.17:30-21:30) - probably the biggest problem of the hotel. a lot of people, queues for forks, glasses, drinks, unkempt tables.
the food is very monotonous, potatoes (mashed potatoes, fries, roasts), rice and pasta (boiled, in salads... ), chicken and pork meat, sometimes fish cutlets and other types of meat, but even McDonald's tastes better. Salads are not possible to eat;
5) sun loungers by the pool are constantly occupied with towels,

6) the staff in the bars is not very responsive, the choice is very poor and the service is poor (they asked for a Martini, the bartender smiled in fear and turned away about his business), the beach bar was closed for some reason in recent days. We bought our own drinks.
7) Beach chairs - paid, the beach is of average cleanliness, the sea is just as lucky.
As friends say, even in 2010 this hotel was much better, but now it leaves much to be desired.
Why horror? Because I rested in another hotel last year - a comparison of heaven and earth.
