One of the best hotels in its category. Located in close proximity to the town of Nessebar. Recommended for families with children. The last restoration was carried out in 2013. The hotel consists of two 4-storey buildings.More →

I vacationed with my grandchildren in this hotel for the first time, everyone liked it, we will come back next year (as soon as the horror of Durankulak customs is forgotten). Children especially liked the variety of pools and slides, water structures, and precisely because children cope with the descent on their own, and adults do not need to stand in long lines on the toboggans to go down with the child (as in the Hotel Laguna Park & Aqua Club). Grandchildren are 5.6 and 9 years old. Absolutely delighted, we will definitely come again.

The food is delicious. But WiFi is failing.

Upon returning from Bulgaria, they kept Durankulak at customs, in completely dirty conditions, for more than 4 hours, this is so bad that I will no longer recommend Bulgaria to families with small children.

For such pennies, my dear, I deserved it. Price-yakist. 6 pools. The children of the pool are in order of the grown-ups. E gіrki, like for children so grown up. Kharchuvannya tse just okrema topic. It is even more tasty, richly flavored, drunk, frosty for children, juices - do not compare with Egyptian powdered ones. Animation is super, disco and contests for children, water aerobics, contests and water polo for grown-ups. The pools overlook on different sides, so you can drink noisily on the other side. Practically everything is practical in the hotel. Also, if you don't want the noise from the children, it's not for you. I can say that it is more a family hotel for families with children. The sea is near, 5 hvilin. Great food beach. Ale, almost the entire beach is occupied by paid parasols and sun loungers. 10 levs for a parasol, 10 levs for a sun lounger. We were lying on the cover even worse. The pennies were mined at Asser bank ATMs at a fixed exchange rate, which is not so obvious in exchange offices.
Pіshki to the new one along the main avenue towards the center 7-10 hvilin. You can walk along the embankment from the beach to the old town of Nessebar. You can also take a bus for 2 leva. The sea was much clearer. I’m sure that the depth is too small and the sea is warming up quickly. Tsezh good for children. On the beach there is a ryativnik. Toilet on the beach paid 1 lev. Safe in the room for a fee. Cleaning up the middle, towels were changed if you put them down to the bottom. The bed was clean, white, the skin was changed for 3 days. Beach towels are not seen, so take your own. The only minus is that you smoke everywhere. Cleaners were brought on our version of the coin, and they had a smoke break here on the version. There is nothing for the hell in the corridor, everything is just in Dima. Maybe it’s so common in Bulgaria to fire everywhere, but we didn’t like it. You can make a place for a chicken. On the whole, it was fitting. Gothel in which I want to turn around.

There are 4 of us here, 2 adults. +2 children If we paid for 7 nights here, let's say 2000 dollars, I would probably say, well, it does not hold out. And we paid, for a minute for a family, 850 dollars. (34 thousand UAH), EVERYTHING is included, but the family came by car at their own expense. To be honest, I expected less for the money. Even in shock. I like everything, if you do not walk and do not look for flaws. There is so much food that wow, delicious and varied. After Egypt, it really feels like in Turkey)) The rooms are normal, not Luxe, but we have a two-room suite with air conditioning in each room, with a TV in each room, a refrigerator, a kettle, although we do not use them. Walk 5 minutes to the sea and what a sea, this is the sea! And the beach is huge and you can walk and run.
At sea, sun loungers and umbrellas are paid, but we are with towels and so on, in fact there is no time to lie, constantly moving. At the territory of the hotel there is a children's water park and just a swimming pool for those who like to swim. In general, for such ridiculous money in 2022 it’s just great! There is everything for a comfortable stay. I will make a comparison, for two now in Egypt a week costs 1500 thousand dollars, the hotel has an average 4 *. Turkey generally snickered, from $ 2500 for two.
And here $850 for 4 people. Do not doubt. I'm adding a photo.

For a 4 star hotel, it's quite simple. The food is delicious, but without much imagination, all week the same set of dishes, albeit quite extensive. For such money I wanted at least a little respect and good service! Bottom line, the Kotva hotel is not worth the money. We will not go to this hotel again!

The room was cleaned every day. And what shocked us ??? According to the program " All inclusive" we were in Paradise. It was impossible to try everything at once. 5-9 varieties of fruits, drinks, desserts were exhibited. 3-5 first and second courses. UNFORGETTABLE! Recommended to everyone. BRAVO!

I'll tell you in order. We went to rest with 3 children - 10.17 and 17 years old - we took 2 separate rooms (we often do this when we are on vacation together - and the children are fine and we are resting). Departure was from Vinnitsa. Carrier - TPG. This is generally a separate story - always specify what the phrase "comfortable bus" means - because something like Ikarus was carrying us in one direction - Neoplan is not clear what year of manufacture - the knees rest on the front seat, in general 26 hours - solid comfort. … More ▾ I'll tell you in order.
At the same time, when after the Bulgarian border the body still passed out - the driver yelled - rise, Golden Sands. Who goes out there - the escort does not know. Before leaving, we changed the hotel 5 times - and this was already after the money had been paid, so the meeting party in Golden Sands said - we will put 3 people in a separate hotel, and 2 more will now be attached somewhere - sit down and wait. I had previously read reviews about Kotva (we did not choose it, as we already said - we changed the hotel after paying for what it was, in general, there was no way to refuse) - and I clearly understood that it was not in Golden Sands, but near Nessebar. And it was still 150 km to go to Nessebar. To which the carrier told me - call Kyiv. In general, after a couple of clarifying questions about who is responsible for all this, he called Kyiv himself. And then oops - a surprise, they are still waiting for us in Kotva. We sit back on the bus - we go to Kotva.....
On the way back, we rode a slightly better bus - 2-story, we were on the 1st floor - the children were sitting at the table, we were behind them. Everything would be fine if at the entrance to Khmelnitsky we were not confronted with the fact that we are now transferring to another bus. A small caveat - you have to wait a bit. Questions - why? and when will they pick us up? - the same excellent carrier answered - "because we did not stand at the border for a long time, we arrived ahead of schedule and this bus should return to Bulgaria. " This caused already simply hysterical laughter. "Not long to wait" after a day on the road and 120 km from home - this meant 2.5 hours. And the bus that picked us up drove to Vinnitsa at a maximum speed of 55 km / h. I really sympathize with the people who went further - to Kyiv. Therefore, my advice to you - ALWAYS find out from the tour operator - who is your carrier, the brand of the vehicle and the features of the move.
Now about Kotva.
We took the all inclusive system, because we were traveling with children. As for me, the hotel barely reaches 3 *, and then if you close your eyes for half of the shortcomings.
We didn’t have any special complaints, only the rooms - the beds were normal, the showers - worked.
The staff at the reception is friendly, we arrived at 10 - we were waiting for check-in until 14:00, as indicated in the description. At 11, they put on bracelets for us - and let us into the "bar", and from half past twelve for lunch...
in the "bar" - from 11 to 17 - sandwiches - a roll with butter and a luminous piece of sausage and cheese, some frightening-looking pies and ice cream in unlimited quantities. Drinking - from 10:30 to 22:30. There is also an apparatus with cola, fanta, sprite and "juice" - an orange and a cherry. Juice - this is very loudly said - rather something like a yuppie....in general, everything is sad.
The proud name of "restaurant" is a canteen with dirty dishes (I'm not saying that it's half beaten) and a chic all-inclusive system. "All" includes:
for breakfast - boiled, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, yesterday's pasta, muesli-yogurt-flakes, yesterday's soup, sluggish cucumber-tomatoes, sluggish watermelon, normal melon, peaches.
for lunch - all the same sluggish cucumbers with tomatoes, mackerel either fried or baked, I don’t know which one yet, the leftovers go to a salad with lettuce, a couple of times there was something like Olivier - only without sausage or meat. A couple of soups - broccoli or with meatballs, or okroshka - just don't think that there was okroshka - they beat cucumbers drenched in kefir, I suspect that they were also wilted.
for dinner - mackerel, chicken and a couple of times there was beef-pork stew - edible And either rice or pasta or buckwheat.
About drinks - nothing to talk about. Sad booze. More or less only their "champagne"
In general, there was an impression of dirt and some kind of staleness. Everything was not today. The Bulgarian and Turkish all-inclusive system - as they say in Odessa - are two big differences.
In addition - somewhere around 85% of the hotel guests are Poles. I have never come across them in such numbers, but they left a very unpleasant feeling. They sit around the pool for days, pick up 25 cocktails at the bar for the night, get drunk, immediately return it all to the floor. You get up in the morning. at 6 o'clock to plunge into the sea - you leave the room and watch the oil painting - millions of plastic cups - both empty and with half-finished cocktails. heaps of rubbish and the characteristic look and smell of vomit......... Cleaning it up starts at 8 o'clock....there is nothing to add.
Next is the beach. The beaches there are mostly public urban, protected with separate free zones. But nearby - there is a very decent hotel with its own. The first days the sea was a little stormy - just jump on the waves - then mega-rescuers ran around and whistled whistles - they drove everyone to the shore, or better, even ashore. Personally, it bothered me a lot. I swim well and my husband and I are responsible for our children, we don’t need to be rescued)) The cost of a sun lounger with an umbrella is 10 lev per person. In greens, this is a little more than 140. It is a lot or a little - everyone decides for himself. The sea is clean, saturated with the smell of iodine, the bottom is flat - and the depth begins after 30 meters from the shore, so whoever has small children can safely stay here.
And separately about Nessebar. Very neat, beautiful and cozy peninsula. The building of the 4-6th century BC, ruins, small intersecting streets lined with paving stones and low stone houses from the bottom and wooden houses from above, hung with pots of flowers - all this creates a unique atmosphere, and certainly leaves a positive impression. There are also enough restaurants with panoramic sea views - which is also good news. In general, we went there every day. You can walk along the embankment - a couple of kilometers, you can drive up on their "trains" - I don't know what they blinded him from - but you can drive a couple of pieces from the hotel to the peninsula.
In general - who wants to relax - he will rest. We would return to Nessebar - definitely yes. Would we return to Kotva - NO.
From the trip, we made the following conclusions for ourselves: in Bulgaria, you need to rent an apartment, or a good hotel - without food. Either drive in your own car or take a plane.
I hope this will be useful to someone.

We rested in August 2014 with a young man. We liked the hotel itself, the room is spacious, wet cleaning was carried out every day, towels were changed, the bed was made. There was such a case, while I went for coffee, my untouched dessert was removed, I had to go for a new one. The blonde waitress was especially distinguished by her activity and rudeness. Regarding food, we only took breakfast and did not regret it, because. The food in the restaurant is monotonous and not very tasty. Of the edible, it is only cucumbers, tomatoes, cheese, scrambled eggs, croutons. Drinks are terrible. Of the drinks offered, this is coffee (an ordinary coffee drink), cappuccino (the same coffee drink only with powdered milk), hot chocolate (more like cocoa), tea (several types, but all disgusting) and finally the "juice" resembles " uppie". The infrastructure around the hotel is developed - there are restaurants, pharmacies, supermarkets, souvenir stalls, but as for young people, we lacked discos, lounge cafes. We went to the center of Sunny Beach where it is very noisy, there is a lot of entertainment and almost every disco has "happy hours" when ordering one cocktail, the second as a gift. Dinner and lunch went to the restaurant "Bulgari" very tasty, large portions, friendly staff, I advise everyone to go there. We went to Old Nessebar really liked the most beautiful, ancient town, but the pricing policy in restaurants is different than in restaurants near the hotel and in the center of SB, almost 1.5 times more expensive.
An excellent hotel for families with children, for young people, I do not advise, it's boring.

I am writing a detailed review, because before the trip I collected information on the net in parts. The three of us (with my husband and a 4-year-old child) rested at the Kotva Hotel from 08/23/2014 to 09/06/2014. I read a lot of reviews about it, expected less from the hotel, but everything turned out to be just super. 1. The hotel itself is large, new, excellent rooms, large hall, everything is very nice in terms of interior. Each room has a shower, hair dryer, refrigerator, balcony with 2 chairs and a table, TV, air conditioning (working and free, and then in some reviews some miracles are written! ). Wi-Fi in the lobby is free, although slow. 2. Wonderful service - the rooms were cleaned every day, towels were also changed daily, even the described sheets of the child were changed without asking. Tipping left 2 times out of gratitude. 3. At the end of the holiday, due to some problems in our wing, we were moved to a 2-room apartment at no extra charge, although before that we lived in a standard room. SUPER APARTMENTS! 4. The presence of a large beautiful mini-water park on the territory of the hotel is VERY beautiful and ideal for families with children! Plus a large swimming pool. There are a lot of sunbeds, enough for everyone. For me personally, the water was cold. But kids splash around all day long. 5. Cafe on the territory of the hotel (in the form of a huge stone fish + a large ship) - very beautiful, reasonable prices. 6. About food at the hotel. We only took breakfast. GOOD breakfasts. I read all the reviews and was afraid that the breakfasts would be terrible. I don't know what people eat for breakfast at home, who spoke so negatively. We had enough: semolina porridge, croissants, buns, biscuits, croutons, toast, 3 types of pasta, scrambled eggs, fried eggs, several types of sausages, cheese, cheese, butter, jam, honey, cereal, milk, 2 soups (although not very , for an amateur), tomatoes, cucumbers, oranges. As for juices - the usual ones from packages. Indeed, once they were decently diluted with water. The rest of the days there were no complaints. Tea and coffee for me were just awful. I don’t drink tea and coffee from bags at home, but these are also of poor quality, I have never found black tea. We did as advised in one of the reviews - we bought tea in a supermarket, more or less normal. In terms of all-inclusive or + dinner - it’s better not to take it (we asked the vacationers - dinner is worse than breakfast). 7. Regarding eating out. Personally, I printed out a leaflet for myself with a list of Bulgarian dishes with names and descriptions - I did not regret it! In general, the cuisine, of course, is delicious, varied, but, of course, it also depends on the institution. We ate at cafes and restaurants. For the price - from 15 euros for three, but this is from the belly with beer and wine (personally for us). The portions are large - see the weight on the menu, ask about the availability of a side dish (we ordered more than necessary for the first few days and overate). The waiters all speak Russian. There are better places near the hotel. – cafe “Sarov” near the bus stop on Nessebar: simple interior, but very tasty and cheap: for example, casserole 400 g + salad 300 g + pancake with jam for a child + 2 beers + juice + garlic cake - 25 leva with a tip. - restaurant "Bulgaria" - directly opposite the hotel, 100 m from the entrance, slightly to the left. VERY tasty and beautiful! The prices are higher, of course, but it's worth it. Plus, there are cool desserts for children! - a cafe on the beach (Srpska khnya, it was called something like that) - for example, sauté ed potatoes, breaded chicken fingers, salad, 2 beers, juice, soup soup - about 25 leva. - nearby on the beach towards Nessebar in tents they sell shawarma, pancakes, fried fish "tsatsa" - great for beer. - in Nessebar we went to restaurants by the sea to eat seafood - for three 35 - 40 euros with a tip, but this is a snack bar (for example, 2 soups with seafood, fish with a side dish, pasta with seafood, flatbread, 2 glasses of wine, juice, 10% tip ). - what to take from food to the child? Pileshka soup, pasta carbonara for two with an adult (especially delicious in Bulgaria! ), pancake with jam, casseroles in Sarov with adults, in the restaurant at the hotel - mashed potatoes with a cutlet (grilled cutlet! like nowhere else no, but the child ate with pleasure even in the presence of their peculiar spices), in the cafe "John Smith" next to the hotel - a set - mashed potatoes, fried egg, sausage, cucumbers. - in the center in tents they sell potatoes with Potatos fillings - I liked it very much. 8. Good location of the hotel. At the junction of Nessebar and the edge of Sunny Beach. Walk to Nessebar - 30 min. a walking step along the sea, if you cut off part of the path through the beach. We went to Nessebar by bus (1 lev per adult) and by trains (7 lev for three). Similarly to the center of Sunny Beach. A stop not far from the hotel (from the main entrance, the first turn to the left to the main street where buses run - on the right is a stop to the center (it is better to get off near the Kuban casino - this will be the center), and if you cross the road at a traffic light - stop in Nessebar. Bus - No. 1.9. 200 meters to the beach on a wooden deck. On the beach, paid zones alternate with free ones. Personally, I never raised my hand to rent an umbrella and a sun lounger - 4 euros for an umbrella + 4 euros for a sun lounger, and if for all three and all 14 days? We just bought a beach mat for 6 euros and an umbrella for 10 euros. People lie on towels or on bedspreads. The beach itself is wide, quite clean, very pleasant sand, some stones, of course, very small, which is super for children. for me personally (although my husband, on the contrary, liked it) - the whole of our vacation the sea was restless, for several days the waves were quite large, but taking into account the fact that you can splash in the water up to your waist - everyone swam and splashed in the waves, including children (our life jacket e, which was also bought next to the hotel for 10 euros, in my opinion). nine. In general, about the weather at that time - there was no sweltering heat, it was windy (sometimes the wind was quite cold, which made it uncomfortable to swim), in the evening it was cool for a couple of days, the water was generally warm, but, of course, not fresh milk. Personally, I would be more pleasant if it were hotter and the sea was calm. But the rest was quite comfortable. They noticed that they drank very little liquid - they don’t want to drink there. The last 2 days it has been raining with thunder and lightning all over the sky. 10. Shops. There are many small supermarkets near the hotel. Not far in the direction of Nessebar supermarket "Penny". In the direction of the center, a couple of stops on the bus - a stop near the Meridian Hotel and go a little ahead and cross the road - the Perla supermarket, then into the courtyard to the right - Mladost. This is for buying alcohol, souvenirs, pernekus. Fruit bought in a shop next to the bus stop (in the direction of the center of Sunny Beach). 11. Excursions. We only went to the Bulgarian village - we liked it very much: in addition to the village itself, dinner with unlimited wine + concert + dance on coals + disco. We walked a lot, rode bicycles to the mountains, saw many hotels both in the center and at the other end of the sunny beach. Believe me, our hotel is SUPER!! ! In addition to the voucher and visas (1600 euros with a flight from Minsk for 14 nights), we spent exactly 1000 euros (with small purchases and gifts). I think that this is the optimal amount, it is difficult to invest in a smaller amount in my opinion. In general, the impressions of Bulgaria are very good (cons can be found everywhere! ), We really liked it.
