Liked the hotel. In my opinion, this is one of the best hotels in Golden Sands. The resort itself, to be honest, did not inspire. Two years ago we rested in Sunny Beach. And of course, more was expected from Golden Sands. In general, Bulgaria has risen in price this year, you need to eat $20-30 per person, the quality of food is average, so the Iberostar breakfast and dinner helped out a lot. Remembering the vacation in Sunny Beach with its numerous and democratic cafes, they still doubted whether it was worth taking dinner in addition to breakfast, but in the end they were satisfied with the food at the hotel. If we ate like this in a cafe, then it would probably cost $50 per person at a time. Of course, Bulgaria cannot be compared with Turkish food. But against the background of other hotels, Iberostar is just a godsend for a tourist in Golden Sands. Breakfast - ala continental Europe. The choice is not very large, but quite sufficient. Dinners are good, varied, a lot of meat, all kinds of vegetables and side dishes, there are fruits, ice cream, etc. As I understand it, today this is the pinnacle of what Bulgaria can offer in general. I repeat, this is not Turkey, drinks in the evening are paid, insanity, of course, but this is the case everywhere. Such a Bulgarian tradition, which, to tell the truth, somewhat tires our tourists. If you want tea or coffee at dinner - pay 2 dollars, a bottle of wine - 10-15 dollars, if you want a deck chair, an umbrella and a mattress by the sea - 10-12 dollars. Therefore, if you don’t want to pay for who knows what - come with your umbrellas and water heaters : -)
But back to the hotel. It actually consists of two parts. One - Obzor, the second - Izrev. There is a bridge between them. Izgrev seemed to be a lower class at first glance. We were in Obzor (which is a nine-story building on the left, it is higher). The room is quite spacious, the air conditioner is correctly located and when it works - it does not blow on the bed, a trifle, but pleasant. Although the climate itself is such that you can completely take it without air conditioning. It's even cold at night.
Definitely worth getting a room with a sea view. Firstly, fifty meters to the sea, and taking a view of the sea, you buy a lot of pleasures - listen to the sound of the surf, admire the endless sea, wake up from the singing of birds, breathe the sea air. And secondly, on the other side of the hotel - the so-called view of the forest - it's just awful. And if even the lower floors are just a guard, no aesthetics, besides, they also started some kind of construction behind the hotel, although I never heard the sound of technology, but still it’s better not to risk it.

As for the staff - responsive, friendly, though not everyone speaks Russian, but those who do not speak German and English perfectly, so with a minimum knowledge of languages, you can always get out.
The hotel itself is located at the end of the resort, in its northern part, in front of the yacht bay, but this is an advantage for me - it is quiet, calm, the music does not "buzz". I want to hang out - I got on a train (runs along the coast from the center to the outskirts) or ten to fifteen minutes of a relaxed step and you are in the center.
The contingent in the hotel is predominantly elderly Germans and Muscovites with small children.
Summing up, I will say again that the hotel and service, both for Bulgaria, are good. My wife and I liked the hotel. But the resort itself is not. Bulgaria is not changing for the better, unfortunately.
