I rested in this hotel at the end of August 2012. The hotel is much better than in the photographs, everything is clean, dry and tidy. Condors work stably.
The food is of course so-so, but did not remain hungry. And then, judging by my trip to Cuba, food is not the strongest side of the island. There was almost no seafood in the hotel, but maybe not in season. Of the fruits, only pineapples are edible, good ice cream, good pastries. Meat/fish/chicken have always been in rachnyh options. Cocktails are so-so, it is better to pay a couple of cookies for natural ingredients and enjoy pinocolada all evening.
The ocean is super, the beach is very good - they clean it regularly. The Atlantic beach in Varadero impressed me much more than the Caribbean beach near Trinidad (Ancon), or near Playa Largo. The beach at the hotel is better than the beach in Varadero itself.

The people in the hotel are mostly Canadians, Italians and our compatriots. For young people, the hotel is boring, of course, although there is volleyball and other sports entertainment.... the people mostly drink and roast in the sun, the evening shows were not impressive. The big minus of the hotel is that it is located 10 kilometers from Varadero, so in the evening you can only go by taxi, which is not cheap by Cuban standards (although driving a rare American car for 10 bucks is a separate pleasure). Varadero is a so-so town, there is nothing special to do in the evening, except for clubs there is nothing.
In general, the hotel is excellent value for money. For a beach holiday - what you need, everything is very nice and neat (which is not very typical for Cuba). In general, out of 12 days in the hotel, I was 3-4 days, the rest of the time I traveled by car around Cuba, lived in casa particular in different cities, ate lobsters, drank rum and danced salsa with Cubans-))). Cuba is not Turkey, but to understand this you need to go outside of Varadero. Although the beach (of those that I saw on the island), the best is in Varadero, near this hotel-)))
