We chose the hotel based on previous reviews. In principle, expectations were justified. We lived in the main building on the 4th floor. The room is good. Bed and linens without pretensions. Plumbing, air conditioning are rather tired (as everywhere in Cuba, even in the central hotel of Havana "National"), but everything worked.
Three minutes walk to the sea, the beach is separated from the hotel by a short strip of mangroves. The beach itself is gorgeous, clean, the water is super. There is no variety of living creatures in the water (this is not the Red Sea for you), but small fish swirl around the body in large numbers, which can sometimes grab moles. There are enough sun loungers, but there can be problems with umbrellas during "peak" hours. At the same time, there are several umbrellas with a leaky roof on the beach, which for some reason no one repairs. For cocktails, I recommend taking 400-500 ml thermo mugs with you. More comfortable.
On the beach you can ride a catamaran under sail for free, take a ride on a pedal catamaran. From Leo, a lifeguard who works on the beach, you can order a lobster 15-20 cookies, depending on the size (brings it ready, like in a restaurant, but you need to order a day or two in advance). Behind the beach bar on the right side, a gardener sells coconuts for 2 cookies. After drinking, you can ask him to chop the nut in order to feast on the pulp.

Take care of hotel towels. We were almost "taken away". In order to occupy sunbeds, it is better to use your own, brought.
The food seems to be varied, but at the same time everything is somehow bland. But you definitely won't leave hungry. A wide variety of cheeses (including blue ones), imported wines. There were not enough fruits: guava, papaya, tasteless watermelon and melon, pineapple, grape (I hope this will be fixed in the season).
The service is quite attentive and friendly, especially if you leave small gifts or cookies. When exchanging currencies and in the shop at the hotel shamelessly cheat. So ask for a check and check.
We went on excursions with Pegasus: Special Havana (2 days) and Non-touristic Cuba (2 days). I liked it, although, to be honest, I was not very lucky with the guides - they didn’t tell much. On the second excursion, for example, they had the opportunity to compare with another group from the same Pegasus - they were told much more and more interesting. But there is no choice here.
The cheapest cigars were bought in Trinidad. In the store where we were brought in Havana, they were much more expensive (for example, one Romeo No. 4 in a tin cost 6 cookies, and in Trinidad - 4). This is if you take it in stores. During the tour, the guide brought us to the farmer. His cigars without packaging were almost half the price of store-bought ones. In addition, cigars are offered everywhere. But their quality, you know, is very doubtful.
In stores, prices for rum are the same everywhere. If the store tells you twice the price, it means they want to earn money. By the way, you can also ask Leo about rum : ) But he doesn't have Legendario.
A lot of impressions from visiting the dolphinarium. Do not spare the money - take an individual swim with dolphins - get a lot of fun.

On the way back, the Cubans messed up with boarding the plane: they made a bunch of non-existent seats, and at the same time managed to sell some of them for 10-20 cookies (it's good that the total number of passengers converged). As a result, at least a third of the passengers got on the bus - on empty seats. And those who guessed to scandal, returned the money. The flight attendants explained that this was not the first time. So there is not much point in going into the salon first: going in last there are more chances to see an empty seat by the window : )
