Food - this is the problem, I think, not only with this hotel, everything is monotonous, but you can always eat in nearby restaurants and cafes, which, fortunately, are in abundance. A huge plus of the hotel - it is located in the very center of Varadero (almost all 4 * and 5 * are on the outskirts), you can safely walk around the center, walk around the shops, there is a shop with rum and cigars nearby, as well as a market with souvenirs (do not hesitate to bargain) . And now to the most important thing, compared to what you forget about food and everything - 2 streets from the hotel there is a beach and the OCEAN, it makes no sense to describe it, it must be seen)))) I have not seen such beauty for sure. On excursions - sometimes there is a private guide Flores near the hotel (offers trips to Havana and other cities), go with him boldly, speaks Russian quite well, he will show everything, tell. It is also necessary to take an excursion from the tour operator to Cayo Largo - a piece of Paradise on earth. Yes, about the weather, they scared us with the rainy season and hurricanes, in fact, it rained for the last 3 days in the evening and for an hour, which did not interfere with either swimming or sunbathing (maybe we were just lucky). There are a lot of emotions from the country and rest, I will definitely return, Cuba left a piece of my heart with it)))

At the airport, we went through passport control for a long time (probably an hour) and we also received luggage for an hour somewhere. . . Drive from the airport quickly, 15 minutes. Settled quickly, no money required. Settled in the building Dolphin, which is across the street from the hotel. We liked the building, in general, we expected much worse from the hotel. I would say that in Turkey and Egypt 3 * and 4 * are worse, that's for sure. The room made us very happy, everything worked, though on the first day there was no hot water, but then we told the guide and the water appeared. 110W sockets, but everything in them fit, it just worked much slower (for example, a hair dryer). The hotel area is quite large, there are always a lot of free sunbeds near the pool. The bar always took delicious beer and rum and cola. They don’t spare Roma at all, they pour it like a river. Animation normal-sometimes there was something to see. The ocean is beautiful and clean. The beach is also clean and cleaned. The beach bar serves lobster or barracuda fish. The only negative of this hotel is of course the food. Although after talking with tourists from our hotel, who were already in Cuba at 4 *, they said that we still have good food, they were generally hungry there. In the morning we ate eggs, tea and cakes, for lunch there were pasta and rice and sometimes potatoes with meat, cucumbers, radishes, tomatoes, carrots from vegetables. More pineapples, papaya (not tasty terribly), bananas. Ice cream. In general, we did not go hungry. There are many restaurants everywhere and the prices are not expensive, so if the food is not to your liking, everything is to your taste. Very tasty mango juice. The hotel has a restaurant. You can go there once for free to eat (you need to sign up at the reception). You can rent a car, and the more days you rent, the cheaper it is. The cars are all insured, so no problem with that. The police do not stop, the rights do not check. Lots of discos. We went on a trip to Havana by car. We took a Russian-speaking guide with us. I also went on an excursion - Jeep Safari, I advise everyone-CLASS !! ! We also went on a sea safari. . Full day excursions with lunch. The hotel has a sociable atmosphere, there are a lot of Russians, you will not be bored. The maids love tips, they left them 1 cookie, chocolates, soap. All in all a great hotel, you won't regret it! It seems to me that there is no need for more than 2 * in Cuba! Have a good rest everyone.
