We stayed at this hotel at the end of April. The hotel building is very old, apparently there has not been a renovation since the time of construction. The first impression was given by the receptionists - they are absolutely in no hurry to go anywhere, they are not at all embarrassed that we are waiting for them, they do not speak Russian and do not understand. With grief in half they gave us a number and together with the porter we went there. They put us in a room overlooking the concrete wall, I was horrified. Dali money was asked to relocate, the second room was with excellent views of the ocean. A few words about the number. The old ones were painted, but not the walls were scuffed over time, the furniture, if you can call it that, is so dilapidated that we decided not to take things apart and were right. After all, a day later, hot water disappeared in our building. We went to the reception, "nice girls" say that there is a big problem with the collector and there will be no hot water for another 2-3 days, I asked to change the room - in response I heard that this was not possible, they could not tell me anything intelligible. The next day, she demanded to call the manager, after half an hour of swearing, they gave a room in another building, the view there was certainly not the same already, at least there were household "surpluses" in the form of hot water. By the way, this room at the end of the holiday tarnished its reputation, ants appeared. A few words about the maids, we did not change bed linen for three days, although we regularly left money.
Food, or rather food, apparently for animals, is just awful. They don't cook food, they heat it. The choice consists of one type of fish, terrible taste, dry pork that gets lumpy in the throat and chicken, well, more or less. Of the side dishes, rice with the smell of rotten fish, potatoes that float in some kind of liquid and pumpkin puree, I don’t want to remember it at all. Of course, there is a great abundance of vegetables and fruits, over which flies and flies fly, and they are extremely unhappy when someone tries to treat themselves from their plate. Clean dishes all with divorces about tablecloths and I will not talk. The first day I didn't eat anything there. Oh, and there is pasta there, too, if you remember pasta from some Soviet canteen, against the backdrop of local pasta, they will seem to you from an expensive Italian restaurant. By the way, there are three restaurants on the territory, in order to get into them you need to stand in line from 9 to 10 in the morning and get a ticket, they book it for tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. An Italian restaurant - minestrone soup is somewhere around the case, everything else is rare rubbish, an international restaurant - we couldn’t bring ourselves to touch anything there, it was very uncomfortable in front of the waiters, but we just ran away from there. We didn’t go to the Cuban restaurant, these two were enough for us. Terrible unsanitary conditions everywhere.
Bar. Take your mugs with you, everything is poured into disposable plastic cups. The cheapest rum is poured, with our money 90 rubles per liter bottle. You can drink beer. We didn’t dare to try the cocktails, we just saw how they prepare them and somehow we didn’t want to drink them.

But not everything is so bad in this hotel - there is a completely marvelous beach and a beautiful large hotel area, a lot of greenery, two swimming pools, not a bad animation in the evening. And about the dancers' tights, it's true, torn, torn, darned. But they try to dance, they even somehow feel sorry for them. There are no more pluses.
By car, the hotel has a car rental, 2 days + a full tank (enough for 600 km) + insurance - 250 cookies and a deposit of 200 cookies.
About the currency, take the euro, such an exchange rate for the euro gives 1.2 kuk, for the dollar - 0.8 kuk.
All excursions cost from 80 to 200 CUC.
To sum up, if it is possible to pay extra 10-15 thousand per person, take a 5-star hotel, or the tres palmas hotel, it is located right in Varadero, and not on the outskirts like aguas.
And don't be afraid of anything, the people in Cuba are friendly, only the rare ones got dirty.
