We chose this hotel for our honeymoon trip. Were in different hotels 5 stars in Turkey, Egypt, and there is something to compare. It is clear that a 5-star hotel in Europe and, for example, in Turkey are completely different things and cannot be compared. But there are basic categories of 5 stars that you just need to follow.
So, as for Adams Beach (just returned yesterday, so the impressions are still alive)). I must say right away that there is no smell of 5 stars there.
Can a hotel that positions itself as 5 stars afford such things:
1. The rooms have old (no, not that old, but simply ancient) furniture of the Soviet type. It was even unpleasant for me to sit on a shabby armchair in the room.

2. in all rooms there were small such local ants. We lived on the 3rd floor of the main building - ants were all over the room (in the closet, bathroom, even crawling on the bed). Complained, but no one did anything. Tourist acquaintances who lived on the 2nd floor complained about huge cockroaches, at night their children were even afraid to fall asleep. In general, the living creatures in the hotel were still the same.
3. we had a broken hose in the shower and a trash can (did not open) - we went to the reception three times, and the last time my husband went and made a scandal there - a Russian-speaking girl nicely promised to do everything, but no one did anything. Then we just scored, we didn’t want to spoil our vacation.
There are still a lot of unpleasant nuances, for example, I don’t understand what to pay 5 euros for if you need to take an adapter to an outlet in the room (they just have euro sockets everywhere), or when we put a bottle of our own water in the mini-bar so that it cools down - so they told us was promptly billed to use their mini bar to pay 8.50 euros per day (I think this is just crazy, at least for the price of the tour we paid - and a tour to this hotel costs a lot), or I will never understand what for dinners at the hotel (for 20 euros per person) they don’t even give ordinary water. If you want water for dinner (and you will want it because you need to drink something with your food), pay 3.65 euros for a small bottle (1.40 in the store). It's crazy not to give even water. It seemed that everything was done not for tourists, but against them.
4. The beach is strange - entering through a staircase like from a stone shore - and a small area is filled with sand, where everyone swims (like a paddling pool), at a depth - stones on which there are a bunch of sea urchins (my husband ran into it on the first day). Generally speaking, there is nowhere to swim. great for kids!
5. Animation (it's loudly said! ) - none. evening shows are weak, with a maximum of 10 people from all over the hotel listlessly watching what is happening on the stage. We went only to the Cypriot night in order to feel like in Cyprus))) Throughout the day, volleyball, darts, aqua gymnastics (I went a couple of times) are very sluggish, even there is no music. In general, there is no music on the territory of the hotel all day long. just silence. At dinner, live music.

In general, everything is paid. Well, except for sun loungers and umbrellas (and thanks for that).
6. I was particularly shocked by the beach towels. They are 20 years old! OLD torn, it's disgusting to sit on them. It's good that we took ours from home. One day, when they came to change for dry ones, they told us that all the towels were over, lie on the wet ones. what a mess to be honest.
We had a honeymoon - the tour company warned the hotel and all that. There was no wine in the room, congratulations and other pleasant moments for us.
The Adams Beach Hotel has a lot of pomp, but it's really not worth it. Our friends lived not far from us in So nice (apartments), and we went to visit them. Much better both in relation and in the interior, service. Therefore, I advise for a romantic getaway - So Nice!
We went on excursions for a day trip on a yacht, an extreme yacht trip at night and to the Trodes mountains and to the birthplace of Aphrodite - we liked everything very much, the excursions, although not cheap, are very informative, certified guides - everything is very interesting and professional!
