Such a different Cyprus
This summer we visited Cyprus for the first time! For a very long time we could not decide on the region when choosing a ticket: we wanted, like everyone else, to get the perfect combination of price: quality! We stopped at a wonderful place in the suburbs of Larnaca! . And as it turned out later, it was very successful! An ideal place for those who like to see everything and who cannot sit still: On one side are the resorts of Larnaca and Paphos, on the other - Ayia Napa and Protaras. Everywhere has its pluses! (We didn’t notice any cons at all - vacation is generally a positive thing! ) So, in order: where our hotel was located, there was a spacious, almost deserted sand and pebble beach a stone's throw away. , smooth entrance to the sea, clean water, complete relaxation. -what we used (literally 1-2 days). The city of Larnaca - where we spent the whole day - is famous for its alley and Finikoudes beach. -A neat, clean spacious beach with sunbeds lined up in a row, soft grayish sand and a very smooth entrance to the sea - that's where the expanse for children is! Across the road from the beach there are many cafes with delicious food for every appetite and wallet , dessert and drinks - about 10-30 euros) In addition, there are many shops in Larnaca, and it is better to do shopping there, since prices are higher in other regions. We went on an excursion to Paphos - we visited the ancient city of Kourion, the seaport in Paphos, but the most impressive place was the "Baths of Aphrodite" (in general, the whole of Cyprus seemed to be saturated with myths about the ancient Greek Gods) - where, according to legend, Heaven and Earth united in love, and beautiful Aphrodite was born from the sea foam! -People who bathed in this place get a boost of youth and beauty! (A charge of vivacity at least - the water is incredibly cold there !!! ) And those who swim around the stone three times are promised eternal youth (if the swimmers survive! : ) -there is a strong current : ) There is a round-the-clock party in the resort of Ayia Napa!! ! Directly on the Nissi beach (the hottest place in Ayia Napa) music is loud, there are always games, contests!!! ! But there are so many people! that the feeling at first was like in Evpatoria in the Crimea (there is nowhere for an apple to fall) - both in water and on land. In the sea, the water is clear, the sand is golden! So if the soul asks for constant communication, you are here! By the way, Ayia Napa has an amazing water park in the style of ancient Greek myths! But it’s better to go there for the whole day !!! ! (So many slides for for children and for adults !!!! ) Personally, of all the resorts in Cyprus, I liked Protaras the most !! ! - It is a little quieter than Ayia Napa, but there is golden sand and unrealistically beautiful blue clear water! If you can even snorkel a little see the fish (Do not compare with Egypt! ) The beaches are cleaner than in Ayia Napa. The pearl of Protaras is the Fountain Show !!! ! This is an unrealistically beautiful and bewitching sight !!! ! (Don't miss it !!!! ) By the way, the tour at the hotel cost 70 euros per person, and if you buy the entrance ticket yourself - 17 euros plus the road (depends from the region). I liked the tour very much - the Grand tour is a trip to the Troodos mountains - very picturesque, beautiful! - especially at an altitude of 1900m above sea level, the most beautiful Kiksky monastery with a miraculous icon, a visit to the winery with wine tasting and Zivania (local moonshine) and a visit to the village of lace masters and silver. Even for those who don’t buy anything, it’s worth looking at this beauty!!! ! And for those in love, a kiss at an altitude of 1900 meters on a cliff is breathtaking!! ! (and beautiful photos! ) And the most easy and beautiful was the excursion on the Pirate Ship ! -a trip to the Blue Lagoon (where the water is really fabulously blue!!! ), to a pirate cave, a lovers' bridge! -of course with swimming! In general, the vacation was a success, which I wish you too! P. S. For those who like to travel by car (for hire) - in Cyprus it is a fairly common phenomenon - and if left-hand traffic is not scary, it is very convenient, but we did not risk it and traveled by bus. A car for rent is about 60 euros per day, one-way bus fare is 1-3 euros (depending on the distance! ) Have a good rest everyone! !
