I am writing this review referring to my and my husband's impressions, we rested from 29.07. 15 to 05.08. 15.
The hotel was chosen for a short time, the main requirements were - a quiet and peaceful location (we are going to rest from the hustle and bustle), close to the sea, breakfast, and of course the price.
We chose a hotel and flew.
We visited Cyprus for the first time, vacationed in Turkey many times, Egypt and Georgia a couple of times. There is something to compare with, but the sea cannot be compared not with Turkey, not with Egypt - the sea is a fairy tale.
Everyone has their own impression about Cyprus. But let me tell you about the hotel.
The Cypriots now also have a crisis, since half of the vacationers were Russians, then in connection with recent events (and especially this year), they have decreased, $ has grown and now not everyone can afford Cyprus.
So about the Captain Pier Hotel - the rooms are like for 3 *, it's normal, it's even an apartment - a fully equipped kitchen.

The view from the window is gorgeous - the sea. The beach is good, but this is the merit of the city.
As for the service - HORRIBLE, the bed was never changed during the entire stay, towels - once and then I asked, the maid refused at first, but then looked in my notebook and still found that there were dashes on against our room for 4 days , yet deigned to change them.
Soap is not provided in the room, bring your own.
Breakfast. . . There was no buffet, no continental breakfast. Everything was like that. They ask you what you want - scrambled eggs or scrambled eggs, sausages or bacon, and that's it. They will bring what you chose + a couple of pieces of cheese, margarine, a couple of pieces of watermelon and melon. When asked about vegetables, I was sent to the store - I bought tomatoes at first for 0.6 euros, and then they were 1.7 euros per kg. I had enough food, but my husband caught up with toasts, it's self-service there, like coffee and tea.
But the most "beautiful" was waiting for me at the end of the holiday. We left the hotel on Wednesday morning, well, of course, the night before I collect my suitcases... - and I find, rather I do not find my watch. In hysterics, I go down to the recension, where Antonis (he is the owner, and the administrator and just a worker - a crisis) is no longer there and I try to explain the situation to his assistant, to which I get the answer that one watch could not be lost, something else would have been lost .
In the morning we are waiting for Antonis, talking to him, but he sends a maid to our room, and she is looking for my watch, as if I have gone crazy and I cannot find it myself. After unsuccessful searches, I am trying to convey that the watch has disappeared from the room, and if it was a robbery, they would have taken the entire cosmetic bag, and not just one watch from it. To which I receive an answer from the assistant, who needed my "chapels", there are watches and more expensive for $ 20.000. That's the whole impression of the rest.
My recommendations:
do not take your favorite and expensive things with you;

in no case, do not leave the key at the reception, there is a courtyard;
do not dine in restaurants - we were cheated, buy bread, cheese, hummus, vegetables and wine in the store and dinner is guaranteed to you;
book a rental car in advance, otherwise you will get G ****;
do not go on excursions, but take a car;
take a bar of soap;
. . . and return with a good mood and wonderful impressions
