In the first lines I will say right away - the rest was a success, everything was very good! It was our first vacation abroad and we expected things to get worse, but fortunately our premonitions did not come true. The choice of vacation spot fell on Cyprus (plus - a visa-free country, it was not enough to pay for visas). We had a family vacation, three adults and a child of eight years old, so Protaras was chosen from the resorts of Cyprus, where everyone can find what they want. Someone will find noisy discos and restaurants, and someone will find solitude and peace. We rested at the Paschalia 3 * hotel. The tour was bought in Natalie-Tours, for which many thanks to them, everything was well organized. The hotel is excellent value for money. Outside and inside the hotel everything is super, clean, tidy. A family room is a double room, that is, two kopeck pieces, the room has two balconies, a bath with a toilet, everything is clean and tidy. There was a mini fridge in the room, a safe - but we didn’t put anything in it, in Cyprus there is simply not even petty theft yet. During our 8 nights, linen was changed three times and towels were changed daily, we didn’t even have time to use them. The territory of the hotel is decent, everything is buried in greenery and flowers (four varieties of ficus trees, citrus trees (lemons, tangerines, oranges), figs, various palm trees, olive trees, oleanders and other representatives of the flora that are not familiar to us. It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the hotel to the sea , it is not possible to get lost, there is practically no one on the streets of Protaras until 10.00. While you are going to the sea, you can go to shops and buy beer, juice, water, creams, air mattresses, etc. A decent beach can be found five minutes walk from the sea to the left or fifteen, if you go to the right. Meals we took breakfast - dinner, and this is justified. If you left the hotel by the sea, it is better to dine in restaurants, taverns and bars on the seashore. Some reviews mention the El Greco restaurant - it two minutes walk from the hotel, we personally didn't like it, but we really liked the Spectrum bar, which is opposite the Chinese restaurant, the portions are large and the prices are reasonable. olks and all the walls and ceilings are hung with them, an interesting sight, you can read reviews about the bar on T-shirts for ten years. We did not go to the meeting with the representative of Natalie Tours at the hotel, they make appointments at 11-12, is it convenient? Personally, we were swimming in the sea at that time. But if you want to buy tickets for excursions, then it’s better to meet, in a day or two, there will be no tickets for excursions. We missed a couple of days after arrival and there were no more tickets for an excursion to the village of Ohna for donkey riding. If this happens to you, then you will find these tickets at travel agencies in the city, for this you need to know a little English. Personally, we ourselves planned our educational course on our own. We visited the Oceanarium (on the bus to Paralimni, tell the driver to warn you where to get off), the Show of dancing fountains (at 21.00 in the city center near Magdonalds), rode a boat along the coast (they take you to the ghost town of Famagusta in the zone of Turkish occupation and to Cape El Greco - where there is something to see). During the rest we visited Ayia Napa - a noisy city, many foreigners, visited Paralimni - if you get lost there, then good English will not help you, the locals seem to know and do not understand anything - this is not a resort area for you. On the beach in Protaras, you can figure out a person who, around 11 o'clock in the afternoon, goes to collect money for umbrellas and sunbeds, he does it slowly, and if it so happens that at that time you were swimming in the sea, then he will definitely not look for you anymore . Separately, I want to warn you that the transfer from the hotel to the airport may be late and you, like us, will be taken faster and you will have little time for Duty Free. And the rest - I recommend everyone a beach holiday in Cyprus in Protaras from May to September at the Paschalia Hotel. Good luck!
