The ocean during the rest was calm, the beach was clean - gray sand and small pebbles at the entrance to the ocean. It is better to swim on the right side of the hotel, not far from the "local travel agency". The food is varied - meat, seafood, vegetables and fruits are prepared very well. You can eat both in restaurants inside and near the beach. The rooms are cozy, but not the "first freshness" are cleaned every day and towels are changed daily. Who likes to watch TV, I want to warn you, there are no Russian channels. The contents of the refrigerator and bar are FREE!! ! Bottles are filled every three days. When checking in, water dripped from the ceiling of the corridor (they cleaned the air conditioner twice), but they fixed it quickly. I did not leave a tip, but this did not affect the quality of cleaning. I want to go back to the beginning of my arrival in the Dominican Republic. The complex itself, in addition to its restaurants, is also located a few meters from Caribbean Street, where bars, nightclubs, casinos are located, entrance to some of them is free for hotel guests, including drinks. We really liked the restaurants in the hotel. Cleanliness and service, as well as the quality and choice of food is excellent, very close to the restaurant, and not the canteen, as in some hotels. In general, Riu hotels try to keep the brand, and this, of course, pleases. There are always fresh juices at breakfast, an excellent selection of fruits, even taking into account the fact that it is not yet a season, but some are very tasty and ripe. You can also, for free, by the pool, eat coconuts, and drink coconut milk at least every day. We also dined in A la carte, I especially advise you to go to the Steakhouse. But besides this, there are still a lot of bars with various snacks, and even musical accompaniment, which, well, simply cannot be counted. I don't even need to delve into all the names, I can just say that the food is excellent, including alcohol and other drinks. Well, of course, and unique beaches for every taste, gazebos for secluded relaxation, and a lot of sunbeds anywhere in the hotel, which we never had to occupy. Always and everywhere we could find a place to lie under the sun. Also, the Riu chain has always been famous for its staff and service, and this hotel is no exception. We gave tips only when we wanted to, and not to improve service or anything like that. Since there were many of us, we asked to be placed in two neighboring rooms, and they were provided to us immediately. The rooms themselves are spacious, but the bathroom is not big, although most importantly, always clean. We had a huge bed, though consisting of two side by side, in the room there was a dispenser with three types of alcohol: rum, vodka and gin. A large closet with a safe, a ceiling fan, a minibar immediately below the dispenser with cola, beer, water and soda, an old TV, but who turns it on on vacation. The balcony is very large, we lived on the first floor, and we were not disturbed by insects at all, this is also monitored. We only had Internet in the lobby, but in a nearby hotel I caught it throughout the territory without any problems. In general, I advise the hotel boldly, the rest will be excellent.

My friend and I had a wonderful time at the Riu Hotel. The hotel is in a great location, with a gorgeous beach and the ocean is so different, with big waves and a quieter lagoon. The second floor, a huge balcony, excellent cleaning, a bar with four types of good alcohol (rum, brandy, gin and vodka), and even a constantly replenished mini-bar with beer, soda and water. But with shampoos and gels it didn’t work out, there was only soap and there were no dressing gowns, but these are such trifles. The cleaning is very good, the cleanest towels, we changed the bed several times, wet cleaning every day, and even on the balcony. The balcony overlooked a small makeshift courtyard with palm trees and emerald green lawns, and we enjoyed this beauty every day and every minute, before returning to the cold and gray winter of our stone jungle. Here's another animation was almost not carried out on the beach. In most cases, everything took place in the pool, but we did not swim in it. We decided that swimming in the ocean is better than spending time by the pool. The room is standard, but with a large bed, and a large terrace. The bathroom is small, the bathroom is combined, but otherwise the room is very good. We DID NOT EXPECT such an attitude from a "decent" hotel chain in Rio. Naturally, the impression and mood after the incident was reduced to negativity. It all turned out like this, we were relaxing on the beach, the keys to the rooms and the safe in one bundle, of course, we didn’t take it into the ocean with us to swim, but carefully, without provoking, we wrapped it in a towel and also in and in a beach bag. (it's funny to take everything that you brought to the beach with you to swim). We returned, my husband noticed. that the bag fell off the sun lounger, it was decided perhaps because of the wind, I checked the keys, they were in place, but upon arrival from the beach we found that the keys were not from our room (they all look similar, but the number stamps on the key itself are different), we could not open a door. They called the manager and security, if you can call them that, walked around the room and discovered the loss of personal belongings, and when they opened the safe, it turned out that all valuable things were STOLEN to the penny!! ! were shocked by the words of the hotel manager, who said to all this "this is your problem, you did not save things", but what should we swim with the keys ?? ? rave. And according to the regulations, we put all valuable things in a safe, for which the hotel is already responsible. Everyone quickly dispersed and left us alone with this problem. The next day, with the guide Vasily from Pegasus and the translator, we went to the city police. They wrote a statement and left information about the iPhone. They wrote a letter about our passage to the main company of the Rio hotel chain, to which they sent us a response so that we would fill out a claim form. ALL!!!! ! We are shocked how it is, such an organization and such an attitude. the police, in turn, explained to the manager that compensation must be from the hotel without fail. STOLEN ALL valuables, phone, money, perfume, purchased alcohol as a gift, clothes. HORROR! and all calm walk and smile. Went to the room using that key. which was thrown to us, it turned out that they had a replaced key (that is, earlier they also climbed into this room and stole) this system is already some kind of theft. Of course, it is not surprising that there are not one camera on the territory of the hotel, there is only one security guard for the entire area, they noticed the locals on the beach. . . no security measures for tourists. Vacation was ruined. On weekends, the hotel is filled with local Dominicans, they also need to be patient, noise, din, even the attitude of the staff towards them is more reverent. In general, we decided that people need to know about this and be warned somehow. We are not going to this hotel and hotels in Rio, such an attitude towards gullible tourists is not acceptable. You need to deprive the hotel of stardom, and indeed it barely pulls on 4. THINK BEFORE YOU GO HERE

The room is nice, cleaned daily and clean. There is a free safe and minibar in the room. Alcohol is also included in the form of: vodka, cognac, gin and rum. We tried everything in a sip, but drank the rum completely. It was cool to sit in the evening, so as not to go to the bar, and sip on a sip. The beach was a very important criterion for us, since the child is only 6 years old, and he still does not know how to swim at all. The beach was wonderful. First of all, it's very beautiful. White sand, everything is dotted with palm trees, there are more than enough sun loungers. The coast is very picturesque. For a dollar, any coconut will be cut off for you, and they hang right over your head. We didn’t get bored until the end of the vacation, we drank coconut milk every day. The ocean is clean, garbage and algae were constantly removed early in the morning. Near our hotel there is a great place for bathing a child, it is shallow and there are no waves. My husband and I went to swim to the right to the territory of the neighboring hotel. There it is already deeper and you can swim, look at the underwater world. Most importantly, the hotel is excellent in terms of price and quality, and we did not even expect what would happen and save additional money on the trip. Seafood was served several times a week, and all different and very tasty. Shrimp, squid, mussels, crabs and much more. The food at the hotel counts around the clock, delicious ice cream for the child, and we also ate it on both cheeks. Meat in various variations, fruits are just the sea. Delicious cheeses for every taste, jamon, grilled meat and fish. By the way, there was fish every day, which was important for me, since I practically don’t eat meat. But the fish is very tasty and juicy. It was possible to go to dinner at a nearby hotel, but we went only once, and realized that we would not find anything new there, and in principle, the restaurant in our hotel was enough for us. There are bars near the pool and on the beach, in addition to the lobby. All the bars made very tasty cocktails, both alcoholic and not. I really liked the non-alcoholic mojito, wonderfully refreshing. Alcohol is all free, but local. They didn’t pay extra for import, they didn’t see the point. For the first time we tried the drink Mamajuana, liked it very much, bought a bottle for home. About entertainment. Animation at the hotel all day long on the beach and by the pool, in the evenings there will be discotheques, you will not be bored. I can’t say anything about children’s animation, since our child always likes to be around, and there was enough entertainment anyway. We took excursions from the tour operator - we liked everything, especially the excursion to the paradise island, a complete delight! If you are not picky and lobster champagne is not your dream, then the hotel is perfect for a holiday in all respects.
