Review of the holiday February 24-March 10.2017 at the King Tut Hotel Upon arrival at the hotel, we were accommodated in a room in the Sphinx due to the lack of available rooms in King Tut itself. The room was quiet, as requested at check-in, and quite comfortable. Very comfortable bed, good quality linens But then everything turned out to be more fun. The Sphinx Hotel is known to be a 5* hotel. The safe did not work in the room due to the lack of insides and there was a sham refrigerator in which the light was on, but it was not cold at all, the windows did not close properly. Well, the shower is generally a song! By design decision, the shower head was built into the wall at an angle unequivocally and without the right to turn, so when the shower was turned on, the water hit the adjacent toilet bowl, bending back the frail curtain with pressure, and the bathroom filled with water and became very slippery. Well, the fact that the light bulb burned out - we did not react at all to this. The next day was spent trying to solve domestic problems, and then we were faced with the Nordic calm indifference of swarthy reception staff. We were offered to see two more numbers, and here it turned out that our number was still great! The two offered rooms were worse and had the same problems. At least our hair dryer and TV worked. The nights in the desert are cold and we are cold. Begging for a second blanket was also not easy. Egyptian chip: the blanket will be in 10 minutes, or in 30 minutes the same means that it will not be in the foreseeable future. By the end of the day, my companion was very angry that we were walking all day from the room around the territory to the reception back and forth many times instead of resting, and something like that told the manager that the reaction had changed. From that moment on, Milad became a great friend. Most of all, the young man who cleaned the rooms on our floor helped in solving everyday problems. Thank you Muhamed. It was he who brought a working refrigerator and got a whole safe and blankets. Unfortunately, this day has become a fly in the ointment in a barrel of pleasure. I have already begun to think that in Egypt there are 5 * hotels, well, they are like that....But I went on a two-day excursion Cairo-Alexandria, where I spent the night at the Oasis Hotel in Cairo. Above all praise. The hotel is made in the form of separate houses, around a wonderful area with a decorative pool with a fountain. And after all, they can make the shower normal, if they want. There was a bathtub in the bathroom! and bidet. Everything in the room worked. Tasty breakfast. In the morning, the guide asked if we liked the hotel and said that the Oasis is a 4 * star hotel in Egypt, the topic is rather mystical. Most of all I liked the food. Variety of vegetable dishes. I think for a long time I will remember the eggplants and carrots performed by the chefs of King Tut. I discovered that in Egypt there is delicious bread, buns, cookies, I liked cakes less, they are monotonous. Such a sweet carrot grows only in Egypt. I liked all the options for cooking fish, and touching meat cutlets. Always a great selection of food. It's simply impossible to be hungry. Going on vacation, I read the reviews and realized from them that quite often vacationers are faced with the problem of diarrhea. Dear vacationers! No need to overeat, mixing not very compatible products and pour it with alcohol. Then there won't be any problems. . The sea was chilly and the heated pool helped out. But the sun was all right? The hotels have a beautiful well-groomed territory with brightly flowering bushes and, of course, palm trees. The color of the sea is amazing. I advise you to take the elevator to the roof of the Sphinx - beautiful views. The beach did not impress me at all. I just saw the best ones. During sunbathing, viciously biting Egyptian flies were taken out. Wifi didn't work. There are solid construction sites around the hotels, there is nowhere to walk, it is impossible to walk along the beach. There is a great alternative: you can take a minibus to the center of Sakkala and walk around the Sheraton, go shopping, see the mosque. In the other direction, the minibus will take you to Dahar. where is the Coptic Cathedral and another mosque. In Dahar there is a bus station from which buses 10 pounds depart to El Gouna. where you can walk all day along the beautiful canals and more than one day. During daylight hours, preferably not alone, it is quite safe to move around Hurghada. You have to be careful with shop assistants. Come across inadequate, aggressive. who believe that you should definitely buy from them, well, they just came to Egypt to buy something from them. And, of course, fool with prices. I recommend taking the tour. In Egypt, the tour service pleasantly surprised me. The guides are very well educated, erudite, speak excellent Russian, with a sense of humor. All excursions are saturated to the maximum, well organized and the guides graze tourists like their own children. In general, I liked the rest. Many impressions I liked Egypt, its history, its inhabitants, it seemed to me that most of them are smart and hardworking. I liked the beautiful Red Sea and the soft sun.
