As is clear from the title of the review, this is my first trip to Egypt. The hotel was chosen based on the reviews on this site (to everyone who left reviews - my thanks! ) And reviews on other sites.
Travel date: 07/21/2012 - 08/01/2012. I rested with my mother and younger sister, we had the same opinion about the hotel. I will write first about the cons of the hotel, although it would be more accurate to say - its features, there are few of them, and they are not something fundamental!
1. Electricity - several times a day there were blackouts throughout the hotel: from a couple of seconds to half an hour. Shutdowns were also observed at the Hurghada airport, so perhaps this is some kind of special energy saving system in the city, and the hotel is not to blame! : )
2. Food - there are a lot of spices in almost all dishes. But you won't go hungry there, that's for sure. The food is delicious, the choice is large and it is always possible to choose something. For lunch and dinner there is always meat or grilled fish. I would not advise taking salads with mayonnaise, they do not at all inspire confidence. Sweets for lunch and dinner - this is a sad topic, solid coconut flakes in all its manifestations - this flakes were not only in slurry desserts, but they could not be eaten without coconut flakes... (sorry for the many words, it was my sick theme during the whole vacation) : )) By the way, for breakfast - always amazing pastries: muffins and puffs - it was just magical, chefs should be rewarded for this !!!
3. Animation - as has been repeatedly mentioned in the reviews - the animation is weak and only in German. This question did not bother me, but for those who need collective entertainment during the day - without knowledge of German, or at least English at a decent level - there will be no animation!
The pros are everything else about this hotel. The sea is wonderful! Warm, transparent, color - as if from a brochure, bright turquoise. Friendly staff - we arrived at 8 o'clock in the morning, and did not sit at the reception for a minute - they gave us a room right away (an excellent room, I must say, building A with a sea view, although a view of the garden was stipulated in the ticket), and immediately put on bracelets. Although they write that in some hotels they hoard up to the office. check-in time - 14.00. I also note that we did not give money to the administrator! Most of the staff speak either German or English. Several of the staff speak Russian. Most tourists (Germans) graze near the pool (which, to be honest, is puzzling, with such a wonderful sea) In the lagoons with a sandy bottom - there are few people even at 10-11 am. There is no need to borrow sunbeds - at any time you can see empty seats. From 8 am to 12 midnight in numerous bars you can take mineral water, sprite, or cola at will.
Sports - if suddenly someone is attracted by tennis courts and a sports center. To play on the tennis court (there are two of them) and on the squash courts, there must be appropriate shoes, otherwise they are not allowed to play! The tennis courts are open to the sun - and in this hellish heat - you have to be a hero to go out and play during the day! Two gyms - one with aerobic machines, the second with strength. There is a hall with 3 ping-pong tables. In general, if you wish - there is where to work out!
In general, a hotel for a relaxing family holiday. Recommend!! !
