I read reviews about “everything is bad”, “bad food”, “bugs”, etc. , and decided to write my own - let's make the world a little more objective : ).
In general, I liked it: we got from the airport to the hotel normally, we settled into the room without problems and offerings, everything was in the minibar, air conditioning and safe worked, and the bathroom too. There was always water (at least when my wife and I needed it), the light once disappeared for a couple of minutes, but IMHO it's not scary, I'm not at work : ). I didn’t like the window on the balcony a little, covered with a figured wooden thing in the local style (probably it is somehow called locally) - I would prefer an open balcony. Although, in fairness, we were on the balcony twice in a week - once when we arrived during the inspection, and once more for photos as a keepsake, the rest of the time it was somehow not up to it.
The territory is large, green, much is still being completed, there is where to take a walk (reminiscent of GTA, there are not enough secret places with packages; those who played will understand what I mean ...: ))) ), the entrance to the sea is normal, there is both sand and corals. Before the trip, we thought about purchasing rubber slippers, but in the end we did without them. I met a man, he was thrown onto the corals by a wave, he scratched his hand a little - force majeure, it happens, nothing can be done. A rather strong wind blew from the sea all the time, but on the contrary, it’s good for me, it blows on the way to the hotel, it’s not so hot.

As for food, it's just torture. In the sense that everything is very tasty and with your eyes you want to eat much more than your stomach can hold.
A wide variety of dishes: delicious soups (even creamy tomato soup turned out to be nothing, in an Italian restaurant I came across a soup codenamed “Zopa”, and apparently full, it’s a pity without ears : ), but in fact potatoes and zucchini in broth, nothing special , however, I would not have taken it if I knew the composition in advance), meat dishes from beef and chicken, kebab lula, beans or beans in tomato sauce, mashed potatoes and rustic, many different types of pasta (especially in the beach bar) , to them freshly prepared tomato sauce in addition to a set of ketchups and oils, sweet semolina porridge with croutons baked into it, some baked palm-sized animals (rats?
: ) ), rice, sauces, delicious pastries and very tasty kunafa, at some certain time you can catch crabs (for connoisseurs, I'm not one of them), for breakfast pancakes with jam or sour cream, for dinner a couple of times from afar we saw how they cut boiled pork, and when they eventually reached their restaurant for dinner (mostly in the evening they went to other hotels, using a la carte), in its place was a big fish, and I was counting on meat : ). From fruits, bananas, dates, something similar to greenish apricots, green melon (however, both are tasty, apparently greenness is a local highlight), apples, there were watermelons a couple of times. Drinks like yupi were tried once (there is color, there is no taste) and they didn’t take it anymore, they replaced them with tea, coffee or cocktails in bars. There were good walkdogs on the beach.
You can go to the restaurants of other hotels only during the last hour of their work, otherwise they will not let you in - a control bracelet : ).

The local Luxor beer is not very good: for the first two days it was very similar to our bugbear, giving something in between mold and soda, then it seems that another batch came, better. In a word, an average weak light beer, for lack of another, you can drink it. The wine unpleasantly surprised me with its acidity and the absence of bubbles (I don’t believe that it has been aged for at least a year and does not ferment, isn’t it a powder? ), the climate in their country favors grapes, and such a weak wine (I dare say I have from their grapes would have been better). Cocktails without show off, but nonetheless normal, of the tried combinations, I liked brandy the most (if it's really brandy : ))) + sprite/7up + syrup. In the billiards bar for lunch, to the right of the counter, a table with small sandwiches is laid, although we noticed it almost before we left.
We did not drink water from the taps and from the pool, there were no poisonings.
Some advise in addition not to eat salads and not to use ice (I, who do not differ in the strength of the gastrointestinal tract, though I threw it into beer when it sometimes came across warm - without consequences).
The hotel area is clean. A couple of times we saw how local workers under the scorching sun shovel a bright road from the dark brake marks of cars, poor thing. On the beach, several times a day, a guy came across who used a rake to collect seaweed washed ashore by the surf. Bushes are disinfected with smoke in the evenings - an uncle walks with a pipe over his shoulder and smokes to the squeal of a small gasoline engine, and his vacationers take pictures - a landmark, a local maniac, can be dreamed of at night ...: )
Sunbeds on the beach are rumored to be clogged with vacationers at 5–7 o’clock in the morning (if a dirty sweater is attached, it means busy, otherwise we once had the opportunity to listen to complaints, because
according to our observations, the sunbed stood idle for several days, we occupied it, and then the owner of the dirty sweater showed up), but in reality, even in the midst of visiting the beach (11–12 hours), you can find a sunbed by a small detour. And then pull another one to it. Although, to be honest, it would be possible to put more sunbeds with umbrellas, though I can hardly imagine where (fourth line? ).
The hotel staff smiles in the face, seems friendly, but most likely it is ostentatious. Some of our tourists do not behave quite like a gentleman, I would not smile at them. Still, the limits of what is permitted must be felt. But these are isolated cases, for the most part the people have a quite decent rest, including the Arabs. Walking around the hotel and seeing a couple walking towards you - a man with a black beard with a shovel and a woman all in black with a loophole for the eyes - you catch yourself thinking - terrorists!

: ) Then, after a moment, you realize that, unfortunately, these are our modern stereotypes regarding the Arab world, which is fundamentally wrong.
Not all of the staff know Russian, and they do not shine with knowledge of English. Once, a worker tried to explain to me for about ten minutes that I could not be on the territory of an unfinished hotel at night (albeit quite politely, but I really wanted to take a picture of the mosque with a long exposure); another time I had to become an intermediary between an Arab and a German woman, whom he tried to convey that her child should not swim in the pool in rubber slippers. But when I went to the beach bar for a beer (and, unfortunately, it wasn’t always there), a colorful, healthy, middle-aged Arab (he’s probably the oldest on the beach there, because
the guys working there periodically turned to him) cheerfully explained to me in English that no more than 3 small plastic cups are supposed to be in one person (although I still did not understand why and who sets the rules). And it’s useless, then I had to go again, because this “portion” will not fill even our usual half-liter beer glass. The same Arab did not let us into the beach bar on the last day, sending us to the main restaurant when we were still relaxing on the territory, but the bracelets had already been cut off. Although in the billiard bar they made cocktails to us without any problems.
In general, the practice of taking bracelets away before 12-00 and not letting them into bars / restaurants is IMHO wrong - I paid for full N days, and they feed me N-1 day, not good. Yes, and the savings, I suspect, are not so great, but rather on the hotel's own image.
I would have written it down for them in the final review, but it was written at the time of cutting off the bracelets, when we still did not know what awaited us in the remaining half day before the plane.

I cut my toe a little in the water park, but it’s partly my own fault (he instinctively squatted like a cow in “Peculiarities of the National Hunt” - you want to live ...splashdown. I didn’t go to the doctor because of such a trifle, I didn’t raise screams at a bad tile, the finger was felt for a couple more days, then it finally healed.
What did not like:
• Sticky bar counters (it's better not to lean on your elbows! ) - beer and other drinks are poured with one turn of the bottle down the neck, driving it over the glasses.
• In an Italian restaurant, a disgusting pizza, which had to wait more than an hour with the air conditioner not working and the room was not drafty, but a good lasagna. Apparently, therefore, there were only 2 places offered there for the evening and we got one, and we thought that it was very cool there (for comparison, there were about 5-10 places at least in other restaurants).
• Merchants constantly climbing up to you - on the territory of the hotel it was still all right, although on the very first evening we were persistently offered to buy a carpet with a diagonal of 5 meters - I came here just for the carpet : ). On excursions, in general, “a complete delight” - they rub, squeeze (I didn’t have anything in my pockets, so I wasn’t particularly worried, but I warn you), they offer hashish. On the way from the Karnak temple to the bus, I almost gave one in the face, because.
he was apparently offended that I bought papyrus from another merchant, but he didn’t, although he rubbed himself so diligently against me and eventually put some of his nonsense on my bag with a camera. I hand it back to him - he does not take it; put me on the ground, turned around to leave - this unfortunate merchant (a boy of about 17, a little taller than my shoulder), shouting in Arabic, caught up with me and grabbed my papyrus. And then, apparently sensing my turn, somehow abruptly threw and jumped aside, shouting all sorts of nasty things, but in English - for the second time in my life I was glad that I did not have time to give vent to my emotions. Although I really wanted to, to see the local shaitan beguiled : )

• Signing up for a la carte restaurants - for me, this procedure would be more comfortable from home via the Internet, or on the spot via touch input on the terminal, and not in a narrow time interval and only 2 days ahead, pushing other thirsty elbows away (especially fun , when the queue gathers half an hour before the appointed time - just like in our traffic police : ) - a girl comes and invites everyone to a sofa in the other half of the hall, where a herd of tourists runs with hungry eyes (well, they don’t feed according to AI, vacationers are malnourished, you can understand %-) ), and during the race, the last ones become the first, bickering begins like “I occupied here yesterday, and you climb without a queue, impudent” : ) - in a word, the scoop, almost forgotten by us, in its worst manifestations, wakes up in people ). And all this provided that the food is 80% the same everywhere : ).
Of the differences: in the Egyptian restaurant there is “shawarma”, although it is made of beef and wrapped in a cut round bun - tasty, but not that; good chicken skewers. In Russian, good borscht, like at mom's house. In Italian, lasagna.
• There is no bank on the territory of the hotel, although information on the Internet suggests otherwise. Changed rubles at the rate of 38 rubles / $ from the guide. And in general, the information on the Internet, prospectuses and in real life is slightly different. For example, drinking water is supposed to be 9 bottles / room per week, but in real life they say that for the entire rest. It is difficult to determine who is lying, the knowledge of languages at the reception leaves much to be desired, they do not really understand the question at all (or pretend to).
• Paid table tennis - we could not be goofy and add it to AI, like billiards.
• It is better to put spoons and forks in a restaurant in a certain place in the restaurant hall, and not to wait / look for a waiter distributing them.
• Poor knowledge of languages (Russian, English) by the hotel staff.
PS. And in conclusion, about fake and biased reviews. “You can’t trust anyone, you can” (c): ) I can’t resist, because I looked through the resource a little and some of them just jar me, as if a person is writing about a different hotel. There are a lot of hotels in Egypt, and I'm almost sure that they are ready to give a lot to beat off a couple of customers who have read reviews on the Internet from a competing hotel. For this, if anyone does not know, there are special resources on the Internet where a commercial offer is put up in order to denigrate / whitewash this or that market player, not necessarily a hotel (I will not give links, IMHO this is unethical, and once again PR such resources only on their hands).

It’s useless to argue with this category of posters (which I hope I don’t have to do) - they are paid for the number of posts, and I / you spend your time trying to convince a virtual vacationer who probably hasn’t seen the hotel in the eye, but has a direct commercial interest. There is also another category of people, for whom everything is wrong everywhere (the water in the pool is muddy, there is no cork in the bath, the sea is too salty, the glasses / chairs / tablecloths are dirty, there are only boors around, the animation is boring, taf-taf creaks, the tiles are all broken, unsanitary conditions, lizards and mosquitoes around, the hotel is old, cows and pigs swim in the sea, corals are sharp, crabs bite, linen is not changed once a day, etc. ). This category, I suspect, writes negative posts quite sincerely, but from its own bell tower (maybe it would be better not to go on vacation at all, but grumble at home on TV or build subordinates who fell into a bad mood at work? : ) ).
As it was rightly noted among other reviews, it is necessary to rest with a positive, which the absolute majority of vacationers manage to do. And the minority angrily spit on the keyboard and scribble angry reviews : ), which are then read by potential vacationers. Due to the nature of my work, from time to time I have to train groups of students, and then ask them about my work. My average rating is 9 out of 10 - and I know this, because the figure has not changed for several years. But the assessments of individual listeners in the region of 2-3 rather characterize their degree, and by no means mine, of “originality” (it can be harsher to say). So I recommend to go and feel the "bugs" on the spot, most likely you will like it, the hotel is really good. And the pig, as you know, will find dirt everywhere : )
