This is our 4th trip to this hotel and we noticed how the hotel has changed.
A more interesting landscape designer appeared (sorry, a gardener) - many new cozy flowering corners in the center of the hotel. The path to the beach has been renovated. Cluttered with awnings terrace overlooking the sea. The pool has wonderful wicker beds-baskets. The zoo appeared, although it is rather a poultry house + rats. It smells. There are shops (as usual - souvenirs).
Food has deteriorated - it is based on rolls and pasta (more on this below).

And the underwater world has become better and more interesting - we managed to see many fish that were not seen in Sharm and Marsa Alam. There were also numerous parrots and other beauties: Red Sea telosuras, flutes, butterflies, zebrosomes, triggerfish, lionfish, teneura lima-stingray, abudevdufs, wrasses (family - perches) and my favorite - heilin methyl-tailed (nickname "bug-eyed blue-eyed"). Other. From the first seen in this hotel: colmars half a meter long, moray eels (white and small), a wonderful blue brown pseudo-balista (changes color, big! ), angels (not only royal, but also imperial), kabubas, octopuses, yellow-striped pomacant (large blue angel fish with a yellow stripe on the side). Very beautiful!
My friends, if you want to get a good look at the fish, do not make noisy splashing and screaming, fish do not like this. They go about their business on the reef: they feed, they clean themselves. Swim quietly, slowly, carefully and you will see everything. Just be careful, because you can also be “cleaned” if you freeze too much. No need to chase the fish, just watch by hovering for a while! The fish will swim up to you themselves - butterflies and the talasoma of the Klunzinger, not at all a timid ten, are very curious. And I advise you to read about the fish and their habits before the trip. I remember how we went for the first time and did not even understand where, how the magnificent underwater world of Egypt became a discovery - there is fish here! And now, having some idea of the world of the coral reef, you come as to old friends, and each time you meet new ones. There is a special thrill in this - to penetrate the world of the Red Sea... It is ideal here for snorkeling: there are places smaller and deeper (behind the outer wall of the reef). Be sure to swim with a mask and fins - it's not scary, but without this there is no point in going to the sea to Egypt. Of course, you can swim like in the Black or Azov Sea, but you just won’t understand what you are missing until you dive - a parallel underwater world, a fairy tale that you will dream about! I constantly dream and these are cool dreams - a sea paradise! So for the first time, rent a mask, snorkel and fins (or they will give everything for a sea excursion) and bolder to conquer the world of the Red Sea!
I emphasize once again - this hotel is for lovers of snorkeling or divers! Therefore, if you have come for the "high life", you have come to the wrong place. There is enough miserable in this regard (as well as with us). On the other hand, the changes are visible here too - the animators are tense: volleyball, gymnastics, evening programs. There was a belly dance. There were singers (under them “our” grannies danced on the terrace). Well, karaoke....I note that it became more fun in the evenings immediately after dinner (and not at midnight) and right in the center of the hotel (and not in writhing, as usual). We finally began to use the central terrace with tables to entertain guests. Usually you either don’t wait for the evening program or you don’t find where. There is a change for the better (maybe they watched The Great Gatsby, just kidding, everything is much simpler).
In my opinion, the hotel is no longer striving to become a 5, this is noticeable in the food and in the increase in shops and all sorts of services such as “manicure-pedicure-barber-spa”, apparently they need tenants. There are a lot of children, so there are a lot of services with the expectation of gutting parents: ice cream, fresh juices (already $ 4 each), popcorn, horses, camels...

This time there were 90% of the Russian-speaking audience, the main contingent - families with children.
Arab large families also came to the feast of “sacrifice” (04.10-05.10. 14). There were not many young couples and retired couples. In general, the hotel changed its style to “family-children”. It’s good that the territory is large, the cottages are quite isolated, the beaches are extensive, so the “noisy and unceremonious” society did not bother much - everyone found a place.
More about food at the hotel. Big and zhyyyrny minus, compared with previous visits. For example, in the best morning hours, when you want to dive or sit by the sea, you have to take care of your food. Breakfast like at 7 in the morning, everyone came running - and the cooks that didn’t show up for “omelettes” and “pancakes”: half an hour to wait for them and wait for this damned scrambled eggs, since there’s not much to eat... Or you can take boiled eggs that don't look very good. . . Also for breakfast there were sausages, potatoes (apparently sometimes sweet potatoes), cheeses (2 types - "processed" and "feta" and this +), and some vegetables. But only from 7 am, and not earlier!!! !... and torment in the dining room for an hour, as they are in no hurry to serve.
Of course, there used to be a “continental breakfast”, well, this is a “divorce” of the purest water. Here it is understood as coffee (instant) and rolls. Not even breakfast cereals with milk (they are brought after 7 am). Yes, I don’t believe in life that they eat like that on the continent....they don’t even give butter (everything later). In general, I did not like categorically catering in the morning.

Lunches and dinners are better, but they are like brothers: 1 chicken dish, 1 fish dish (not always tasty cooked). And for a side dish some variety: rice, potatoes, pasta. Instead of salads - chopped vegetables. There were soups, but they had a "mivin" taste, they were not tasty and differed slightly in the recipe. The main difference between feeding and previous visits is that buffet tables are not bursting with dishes, everything has become more modest and this is noticeable. There are few local dishes that are usually eaten - the days of oriental cuisine somehow did not impress... it got worse... But, you can put up with it. But there is no strength to put up with bad breakfasts before 7 am!
About the number. We liked it - these are relatively new rooms on the opposite side of the diving center. There are large beds here, not separate ones, as in the rooms on the opposite side on the outskirts. The amenities worked, there was a hair dryer. There were no shampoos and gel spreads, take your own. There's only liquid soap in containers. The window-door turned out to be poorly closed and the chair was broken, the master was called through the reception - the window was quickly fixed, the chair could not be replaced in our absence. As a “compliment” from the hotel for these inconveniences, they brought sweets (oriental cookies) while we were gone. There was a cake for my birthday, and it stood for a week, it was not possible to get rid of it : ).
The cleaner brought water daily (they used to take it themselves at the bar). About the bar - you can have fun: there is a list of free cocktails with names - they have never been made like in the recipe : ). They pour and interfere with anything. So it’s better to order not by name, but by composition: suzu and sprite, gin and cola, etc. There is also 1 free trip to an Italian restaurant (bonus from the hotel). Well, this is also a type of “divorce” - the menu is terrible. Pasta with pomegranate (we did not take it, but people did not finish it). There are no salads - instead of them there are appetizers: tomato with garlic on a crouton, etc. (the Arabs laughed hard). For sweets, we took tiramisu. Well, what can I say, I have never seen this dish done the same way anywhere, but I haven’t been in Italy, so I don’t know if we ate the right tiramisu. I'm sure of one thing, sweet and not nasty. Well, pizza. We ordered one for two. It is of such a size that it seems like a lot for one, and a bit small for two. Well, in general, you should not go there, except perhaps in order to dress up. Although for a regular dinner you can “walk” a dress that is not much blacker. These free bonuses from the hotel (1 trip to Hurghada, half an hour playing billiards or tennis, etc. ) have remained. But it’s hard to get into billiards: one table, it’s in a terrible, uh, “tent” where it’s stuffy and not pleasant (homeless), but you can hook up. But there is also a hookah on the main terrace (for a fee).
I note that at this time in Egypt it is very hot, even in the evening it is very hot (blouses and windbreakers are not needed)... It is hot and stuffy...

A few words about Anex-Tour. We liked this operator more. We would always choose him, but we like hotels that don't interest him. We hope that our tastes will coincide more often. The hotel guide explained well, he ordered boxes with breakfast without reminders, but we didn’t take them at the bar, and the bartender, pouring juice “like yuppies” in the morning, didn’t even offer to pick up the box. By the way, only your hotel guide can order you an early breakfast to go. They also had decent discounts on excursions in connection with the holiday (unlike Pegasus - we heard conversations). On the way back to the airport, we were not brought in a “mandatory” order to the shopping center, where everything is quite expensive (lokum, fruits, olive oil, souvenirs) and tiring. The guide on the bus offered silverware, like from Lucosra. So you can buy souvenirs, if necessary, right on the bus. Under the terms of this operator's voucher, the medical insurance did not provide for a mandatory deductible of $30 (only for Ukraine, there was a deductible for the Russian Federation). We pleasantly spent this money on ourselves right in the hotel shops: aromatic oil and earrings made of silver under the “opal”.
Summing up: the rest was not spoiled, the sea near Coral, as always, is beyond praise, but time will tell whether the hotel will improve the feeding. In general, there are no complaints about the hotel, but for breakfast until 7 am... Something must be done and tied up with revolutions, this interferes with both well-being and just normal life.
