The trip was timed to coincide with the birthday of a first-grader who has long been fond of the theme of ancient Egypt (books, cartoons, films). An early arrival was not reassuring with an excess of attention, but the hotel staff pleasantly surprised me. Although formally the settlement is at 14:00 - after dinner, we were fed breakfast and lunch, apologizing that the room could be provided only at 14:00. We had several hours to get acquainted with the not small territory of the hotel and its infrastructure. And at 11 with a little, we were already settled!
On principle, we did not choose the "best number" in advance, let alone "lubricate" by buying "VIP status" (Russian speakers are already accepted all over the world as "special"... ). When we were taken to the room on a golf cart, we assessed the balance of its pluses and minuses, and were very pleased. The room is above the midline, far enough from the beach, but for us (Crimeans) this is not critical - the rise is not big. For that there is no coastal humidity as on the first lines, and the reception and restaurant are closer.
The hotel guide appeared only on the second day, but we had prepared the program at home, as well as the excursion agent chosen in absentia, the prices and quality (according to reviews) suited us perfectly. Thus, on the "home-made" we saved at least twice. No need to accuse of "ripping off" - you need to look for a way)))
The removal of the hotel from the center of Hurghada (about 20 km) did not upset us, because the nearest shopping center, replete with souvenir shops, is located 3-4 km away, and we walked there with pleasure. Prices were several times lower than the hotel kiosk and Cairo shops. We drove back by taxi for a dollar (at the request of three, I agreed for one).
They were satisfied with the food, because. did not wind up standing in line, but enjoyed the rest. I liked the kitchen very much - especially the abundance of desserts. It was touching that the chef himself stood on the grill every evening.
