Hello! We recently returned from Egypt, where we stayed at the Dana Beach Resort 5 * (Hurghada). We took a ticket through the tour operator Lagina Travel (up to this point we had not heard anything about him). And they didn't fail. The holiday was 100% successful!
Well, let's start from the beginning...
There were only two options 14/15 and 11/12 (the hotel was already "in the stop" and this is 1.5 months before the expected departure! ). We took a ticket for 14 nights / 15 days, since the 11/12 option seemed too small to us, especially since the price practically did not differ. We started to take it back in Moscow, judging by the tickets, we did not lose a single day (we flew out of Moscow at 6.30 in the morning, and the flight from Hurghada was scheduled for 20.00, that is, there was still a whole day on the beach.
And so, with tickets and passports in hand, we were at the airport ...Everything went without delays and overlays.
Our carrier "Kolavia" (Kogalymavia) also pleased us with service and attitude, not to mention the crew of the aircraft ...Thanks to the pilot, the steering wheel is in capable hands - and there are no holes and turbulences, I'm not talking about takeoff and landing!
And so, we are in Egypt! The visa was issued through our tour operator in 2 minutes (no queues). Next, passport control, we already had to stand there for a bit (well, where without it, given how many planes land! ). Having picked up our suitcases, we found our representative and in short dashes got to the bus, which took us to our Hotel. While we were sitting at the reception and filling out the cards, they brought us hibiscus tea, which was also a pleasant surprise.
RESETTLEMENT
In order to protect ourselves from the "view of the construction site", we immediately put a bill in our passport when we were given a number.
We were given a choice: 1st floor (2 beds) and 2nd floor (1 bed, but large) of the 6000th building, we first looked at the 1st, but there was a smell of paint, and we moved to the 2nd. Reading the reviews, "our Russians" are throwing mud at 1000 and 6000 corps so much that at first we were frightened. These buildings house both Russians and Germans and other foreigners. What's so terrible about the fact that the body is close to everything! ? ? ? Nearby: 2 swimming pools, reception, golf and tennis courts, bars, restaurants, daytime and evening animations, SPA-salon and a short exit to the city! ! ! You can get to the sea both on foot (a magnificent 5-7 minute walk) and by boat (while you are going, you can admire the fish). The room was small, but cozy and clean. In the room: a large bed, a wardrobe, bedside tables, a TV, a free mini-bar (replenished every day), a bathroom, a balcony with two chairs overlooking life (park, pool, river).
A small minus is mosquitoes, both in the room and on the street in the evening, but this is nature, where there is a place for everyone to exist!
ANIMATION
To begin with, a huge THANK YOU to our animators: Kamal, Kimo, Katya, Kuko, Yulia (our man! ) and (their manager, part-time) Sasha! ! ! Without them, the rest would be good, but "eggplant", you never got bored with them!
As for the animation, we also did not understand anything from the reviews of "our Russians". Everyone writes that there is no animation or it is very weak ...Not true! The animators were great! What was not there: volleyball (on the beach), darts competitions (on the beach and by the pool 2 times a day), aqua aerobics, belly dancing, step aerobics, water polo, tennis, bocha (we still have this game called petanque), golf, riding on the river on catamarans. For children, there is a magnificent swimming pool with slides, swings and fountains. Directly next to it, animators learn dancing to children's music.
There are many swings and slides scattered around the beach, where children can also have fun. Evening animation is also beyond praise, while the parents "rest", their children are occupied by the same animators: cartoons, dances, songs and performances. After that, the animators entertain the adult part of the "population" with contests, shows, and so on. And for those who are not enough, every night the animators offer to visit a fun place called Gavana Club - this is a disco that is located right across the road, it is free for Dana Beach vacationers, and every Saturday there are foam parties. Several times a week in the evening in one of the restaurants "live music" sounds, under which you can also have a good time; .
NUTRITION
Again, "our Russians", snickering or something? ? ? Or do they want lobster and black caviar with champagne every day for their money? ? ? The food is up to par!
The range satisfies all needs, both for children and adults. There is absolutely everything! I can understand that food can get boring, but don't always take the same thing, let your imagination run wild! Vegetables and fruits, meat and fish and sea dishes, poultry, diet food, cereals, rice, potatoes in various interpretations, sauces and other cooking, I'm already silent about "sweets" and flour dishes, which were in abundance. Ice cream is not only for children, as in many hotels and not by the hour, but at any time of the day. Bottled water at every step (in any bar or restaurant) and in any quantity, come and take yourself as much as you need. Juices are in assortment, but from packages, although, when compared with "ours", they are 100 times tastier! Also fanta, sprite, cola, tonic, regular soda - anytime and anywhere. As for alcohol, everything is “normal” here too: beer, wine, gin, rum, whiskey, vodka and cocktails for every taste. Also, delicious coffee latte!
SEA
The sea...The sea...A huge artificial lagoon, but...the sea is clean, the entrance is sandy with small pebbles, the depth is 5–7 meters, there is where to turn around, on the left along the pier of the neighboring hotel you can walk 100 meters along the shallows along the sand, pebbles and dead corals (we went barefoot, without slippers) to the "open" sea and there to ride the waves and watch the fish with a mask. On the sea you can ride on a "banana" or "tablet", to the right of the lagoon there is a diving club. You can also eat on the beach (lobby bar).
SERVICE
The hotel staff corresponds to 5 *, always polite and smiling, almost everyone understands and speaks Russian to one degree or another. If you are not rude and behave like a human being, then you will be treated the same way as the "Germans", and maybe even better! If you have lost something, or you left something somewhere, you don’t have to worry, it is immediately sent to the reception, where you can later pick it up (and this happened)
TERRITORY
The hotel area is very large, and all green. It is constantly being improved: landscaping, cutting bushes and lawns, replanting, watering, and so on. The river is just super, there are a lot of fish, especially fun when they suddenly jump out of the water. In the evening, in some creeks (the river is divided into compartments in some places), illumination is carried out and you can see what a huge number of small fish that are teeming with large fish are found in the river. You can feed the fish with bread and even more will come. A huge number of flowers, bushes, palm trees and cacti are planted throughout the territory. On the territory there are many different mini-herons of different shades, lizards run, dragonflies and butterflies fly ...There are 6 buildings in total, 4.3, 2-story. In general, everything is wonderful.
When we arrived, this hotel was 90% inhabited by Germans and other foreigners, later, during the holidays, Russians also began to catch up.
