The first time was in Egypt. The hotel was chosen based on reviews here and on the recommendations of the tour operator.
The territory of the hotel is beautiful, green and well-groomed. We lived in the 2nd building, in a family room. The room is not new, from the minuses noisy air conditioning and poor drainage in the bathroom. Cleaning on request, you need to hang a sign on the door, the cleaning is not bad.
The food at the hotel is good, no frills. Breakfast is exactly the same every day. For lunch and dinner there was always fish, sometimes squid; chicken, duck, turkey, beef in different variations alternately, there was no pork for 10 days of our stay. Most of the dishes are delicious. Of the fruits were apples, pears, bananas, grapes, oranges, melon in the form of a salad. We once got to the mango season in Egypt, but they were not treated to them in restaurants, we had to buy them ourselves. A big minus for the hotel catering department, my husband and I had problems with digestion. My husband had diarrhea at the beginning of the holiday, and just before leaving, I had stomach cramps all the way home. The flies were just as terribly annoying, I'm not talking about the flight terraces, but they were also inside the restaurants, and somehow it would be necessary to fight against this. There were 4 restaurants open during our stay, 2 for breakfast, 2 for lunch and 3 for dinner. Columbus Cafe was very good. Delicious drinks and cozy.

Now about the sea. The lagoon near the hotel is very warm, and at the same time the water is cloudy, lumps of various algae were constantly floating.
We took several excursions from a separate guide, we liked everything except the sightseeing tour (we were taken to 2 locations - a mosque and an embankment, and then to an oil factory where we listened to a lecture on the healing properties of these oils, who wanted to buy and then taken to another supermarket for tourists. In short, wasted time.
We had an early flight so we were given lunch boxes to go (cheese, sausage, buns, fruit and juice)
In general, we liked the rest, largely thanks to the excursions. I would also like to visit Egypt, but it is unlikely that we will return to Dana, even if all a la carte restaurants worked in it, the sea near the hotel is so-so.
