We have already rested in Egypt several times, always in Sharm, but this time there were circumstances that the choice was made in favor of Hurghada.
We rested together with my daughter from 11 to 18 October. Tour operator - TUI.
Departure from Kyiv - on time, on the plane they filled out migration cards, they had tests for COVID and completed health questionnaires with them. We had our temperature taken on the plane before boarding. Upon arrival, there were no problems with the border crossing - they collected questionnaires near the exit from the plane, then checked the tests, and that was it.
I liked the fact that we went to the hotel in a half-empty bus. Upon arrival, the temperature was checked once in the hotel. There was no need to go to the reception, they collected our passports with vouchers and brought the keys within 10 minutes (we arrived in the evening). No one else took the temperature. Only the waiters and junior staff were wearing masks on the territory of the hotel.

The room is small and tired, but everything you need is there. True, the broken soap dish was amused. From cosmetics - shampoo, conditioner, soap and shower cap. It is important that there is a kettle, coffee with dry cream, tea, sugar. Water was brought in at 3 liters per day. In the minibar, 1 liter of Pepsi-Cola and Mirinda, replenished as needed.
There is a nuance to cleaning. The first time we did not leave $ 1, and the next time we were removed only a day later. But then we left $ 1 and 2 Roshen sweets (read in the 1st of the reviews that chocolate helps to improve relationships), after which the cleaners began to "break" at us literally in the morning every day. Cleaned, changed towels, more water began to put. So I recommend stocking up on sweets, the Egyptians love them.
The hotel is large, greenery for my taste is not enough. An artificial canal stretches along the entire hotel, through which a boat runs, you can get to the beach on it.
There are several pools, large ones - near the reception and the Castello restaurant, there is a children's pool with slides and several small ones. When we were resting there were very few people, everything was mostly near Castello.
The beach is very large, on the beach itself there is fine sand, entry for children is no problem. If you want to see coral fish - you are on the pier on the right on the beach. We swam from it to the right to Desert Rose.
Small, but fish accumulate under the piers, there are several small coral reefs. I liked that you can swim without restrictions, as in Sharm. We even saw a big turtle!
For food - there are several restaurants, there is a coffee shop and a food mole, which is open until 17.00. There is always something to eat during the day.
The best service and staff, according to our feelings, is in Castello and in the restaurant above it on the 2nd floor. For breakfast at Castello - fresh orange juice, hibiscus. There, for dinner, you could choose fresh fish or squid (in my opinion, frozen), they were cooked to order. Also every evening duck or beef.

Breakfasts are the same everywhere - scrambled eggs or scrambled eggs of your choice, pancakes with Nutella, inedible sausage and cheese, but we got local feta. Fresh vegetables are a good choice. Delicious little croissants. Rice porrige. Lunches are so-so, we took mostly pasta with sauces to choose from.
The hotel staff is polite and friendly. Waiters carry drinks around the pools too. It is better to have small dollars with you - foreigners do not skimp on tips, and get good service for it. We left tips at dinner and during the day at the pool for $1.1 time we forgot the key to the room in the room, they replaced it at the reception without any problems, we didn’t require anything extra upon check-out.
Wi-Fi in the territory is not of very good quality, if Internet access is important, it is better to buy a local card upon arrival. Operator desks - in front of the exit from the airport. The Egyptians use Etisalat. We bought a card there, good quality internet.
Now about the sad. Of course, we were driven to a meeting with the TUI guide under the pretext that we needed to show certificates with a corona test and that without this meeting we would not be checked in for a flight.

At the same time, the guide Amir told how everything is wonderfully organized at TUI, the buses will be filled with a maximum of half of the seats, that only they have “all inclusive”, and 100% will not have to pay anything extra. He scared me with dire consequences if we did not buy a tour from them. We decided to take an excursion with a meeting of the sunset on ATVs. The cost is $25 per person. Already on the bus, it became clear that something was wrong. It was dirty and filled to capacity. Upon arrival, we learned that for this excursion you need to take arafat scarves with you to protect your face. Nobody told us about it. I had to buy on the spot for $ 5 apiece. Well, and 1 more “surprise” - it was necessary to pay extra $ 2 for renting glasses for protection. That's "all inclusive" for you. The next day, we approached the guides with a question why it happened - they frankly laughed at us in the face, and offered to write a complaint to the tour operator. A man approached us with the same question, he said that he took the same excursion last year, and everything was truly inclusive. He was sent to the same place where we are.
The guides also offer to buy a mango for you for $1.3 kg. Don't get fooled. Directly opposite the hotel there is a shop with the same mangoes for $1.5/kg. We ordered a mango without knowing it. Daughter took. The guide gave her 2 mangoes as compensation for the tour. BUT AT THE SAME TIME, HIS HANDS CLADED HER HAIR. I didn’t really understand what was happening, but this is unacceptable and very disgusting. And there is no one to ask for protection in the absence of her man.
About the exit. Our bus was at 4:45 pm. Check-out at 12.00. We approached the reception (WITHOUT A GUIDE), and they extended our room without additional payment until 14.00. Bracelets are not cut off, things can be left in a special room. We asked to leave cards for towels and they let us. So we spent the rest of the day comfortably.
The return transfer, by the way, was already in a full bus, apparently, the main thing for the tour operator was to make a first impression and drive you on excursions.
These are the impressions - a good hotel for the money and a spoiled impression from the guides.
I hope the TUI tour operator will be more attentive to the selection of staff and to the organization of excursions and return transfers.
I hope my review will help you plan your vacation and get the most positive emotions from your vacation.
