The hotel is really good. Lovely beach, great food, ok rooms, very close beach bar and lovely clean toilets, changing rooms, showers, etc. But there are a few personnel-related points that you should pay attention to. When we checked in, they immediately asked with a smile for a bribe of $30 "for a good room. " In principle, they gave a normal room, in the 6th building - not far from restaurants and the beach. Well, bribes for Egyptian hotels are normal, we were ready for this : ) But then there were two unpleasant moments that spoiled our vacation:
1. On the third day of our stay, in one of the restaurants, one annoying waiter suddenly, for no reason at all, began to turn over a glass of beer that my husband drank... I should have kept silent and not paid attention, but I am a cheerful person and decided to joke - I asked "can you do the same with tea? ". In short. . . I wish I hadn't asked this. Then the waiter said that he wanted to show a "trick", for this I had to take a glass of beer in my hands while I was taking it - he came up from behind and put a spoon on my head, and put the fork between my teeth... From such rudeness at I was speechless... The next day we came to this restaurant, I wrote down the name of this waiter, we called the manager in this restaurant and threatened that we would complain to the general manager if this waiter did not apologize. He apologized, and several times, tried to please, etc. In short, the conclusion is that it’s better not to react to their stupid harassment, because if you joke, their reaction can be unpredictable : ) At first I was furious, but then I calmed down and realized that I, too, probably was wrong.
2. But one more trouble has already happened through no fault of ours... On the last day of our stay, we had to leave at about 17:00. We were allowed to stay in the room until 12:00 (like everywhere else in the world! ), Then we were offered to hand over things to the storage room, and we could eat, drink, walk around the hotel and go to the beach for free (the bracelets were not cut off), before leaving, we had to They were given a key to any room so that we could take a shower and change. Well, since we could be at the hotel until 12:00, we calmly, without suspecting anything, went to the beach in the morning and returned to our room at 11:00. When we entered the room, we saw that the door was wide open, our personal belongings (toothbrushes, toothpaste, toilet water, shaving accessories) had disappeared, some of the towels were missing... My husband ran to the reception to figure it out so that we would not be accused yet that we were late and stole the towels. It turned out that the servants, you see, thought that we had already left, and they took the things that were left for themselves! Part of it (dental floss, shaving cream and something else) was taken by the servants, the rest was thrown into the trash. At our request, everything was returned, but we had to dig through the trash to find some things. Dental floss was not returned immediately and not willingly, I had to ask several times. They allegedly did not notice at all our bags and the fact that the safe was closed (our passports were in the safe). Mayhem! I’m already thinking - maybe this is due to the fact that we left a dollar on the bed every day for the servants, and didn’t leave it on the last day - because we were leaving, we didn’t think that we would be cleaned. This is such rudeness. So, just in case, several times the day before, ask again until what time you can stay in the room... We were in Egypt for the first time, and we were constantly in suspense - it seems that at every step you have to expect some kind of dirty trick, and if you still don’t pay someone a dollar, then that’s it, the rest is ruined... Or maybe we were just unlucky : )
