Good day to all! After almost a week since arriving from Egypt, I finally decided to contribute my two cents by writing a review!
In the beginning, I will digress to the airline - we were supposed to fly Transaero there, but for some reason the flight was canceled and we were transferred to Red Wings. At the time of the message about the change of the carrier, the only plus, though very significant, was only the fact that the flight was transferred from 17-30 to 02-10! It turns out that we flew out more than 12 hours earlier and we had the opportunity to relax for a whole day more! Otherwise, especially after reading a lot of reviews about the Reds, the mood is somehow gloomy! a particularly unknown company, frequent delays for many hours of flights, old TU aircraft did not add optimism! To our great happiness, everything was more than wonderful - none of the horror stories from the Internet came true! We took off smoothly and exactly on schedule, although the plane was a TU-204, it was new, the interior was excellent, the sound insulation was normal - maybe a little noisier than in Boeings, there was enough distance between the seats. The food is pretty decent too! Soft takeoff and the same landing! in short everything is clear! Thank them very much! Although when changing the carrier, the difference between the cost of the fuel surcharge for Transs ($ 80) was not returned to us, arguing that we flew back with them!
So we have arrived! Hooray! Being already a little experienced person, I immediately went to the branch of an official bank for a stamp, five of us flew and, accordingly, we paid $ 75 for a visa? Behind the TO counter - Tez Tour, those same visas were sold for $ 17 and the issuer of migration cards for filling was dissatisfied (as it seemed to me) that the stamps were not bought from them, i. e. We saved $10 right away. at what they don’t say anything about the official bank, and if a person flew in for the first time, then due to inexperience he overpays! having passed all the customs formalities, we went to the bus, and then to the hotel. we arrived quickly, though at first they brought the rest of the tourists to the hotels and at the end only to Dana.

Due to the fact that there was an early arrival, around seven, it was natural that no one was going to check us in, they said after ten. But they were allowed to go to breakfast and immediately put on bracelets. During breakfast, a waiter came up to us and said that we were called to the reception. There we were offered to pay $30 for each room. Accommodation options were also offered. We bargained for 50 and ten minutes later were in the rooms. Initially, we wanted rooms on the first floor, because of the child and the convenience of leaving the room immediately through the terrace. but there were no such options (we needed two rooms side by side) and we settled in building 1000 on the third floor. The rooms are excellent, large enough - one huge family bed, and another single bed, bedside tables with lamps, a built-in wardrobe, a dressing table with a minibar mirror. The bathroom was a little disappointing - just a shower and a hole in the floor, but everything was done with high quality and with the curtain closed, the water did not splash anywhere. soap supplies were added daily, you could ask for more if you didn't have enough, just like you could order extra water or soda from the minibar at the reception. The furniture is somewhat worn and old, there was a very soft mattress, in the morning my back ached a little. Oka went to the nearby Desert Rose hotel, the view from the window was not very interested, the main thing is not to the construction site and not to the trash!
Ate in all restaurants, everything is delicious everywhere! Favorite was probably Don Camello, under the reception, but the rest were not inferior! It was amazing that for all 11 days we went for lunch and ate soups, so not a single soup was repeated, and there were two kinds of them every day! And what sweets, mmmm! I was afraid to get better! what a deliciousness! packaged juices are everywhere (both on the beach and in restaurants, but except for breakfast), we drank only them practically, there are also yupi, I even liked the hibiscus. On the beach you could take tomato juice in jars. Well, everywhere Pepsi, Fanta, Sprite and soda.
The sea is wonderful, although the lagoon is cooler than on the spit, we swam here and there! the little one was more interested in the spit, poking around in the sand, building towers. It was a bit windy, but they say in Dana this is normal. But it didn't feel hot at all. Those who wished could swim on a banana, a tablet, on a parachute, on boards. Of course, we swam with masks ourselves, saw many beautiful fish, stingrays, hedgehogs! there are very few fish near the shore and they are all gray and transparent! but there were a lot of jellyfish - unusually beautiful - purple, they say not burning! During the entire stay at the sea there were low tides, but it was somehow strange - in the morning there was no sea, then by lunchtime, and even in the evening it only left! Ate to look at the sea, then the tides were on the left. there is also a spit, for passage to the open sea! Sunbeds were always, not on the first, so on the third, fifth line! never had a problem! you can take to drive an air mattress. Food on the beach can be said not inferior to the restaurant, everything is also delicious! In the main restaurant in the morning and on the beach for lunch, a woman sits and bakes cakes in the oven, they are fresh, neither salty nor sweet, but very tasty! Arabs walk along the beach and offer various excursions, as well as SPA and tattoos. By the way, it costs $40 to draw a little scorpion for a boy!
The hotel itself is very beautiful and clean, the staff is wonderful, the waiters literally guess the wishes of customers! They do their work with smiles, they did not notice any discrimination based on nationality! There were probably 80 percent Germans, the rest Russians (including Belarusians), I saw two or three pairs of Poles and a few English and French. All information is in German, animation for both adults and children, cartoons for children too. Although our small and Nemo, and Tom and Jerry, and the Ice Age watched with pleasure! Of course, it would be possible to translate the basic information about the hotel into Russian - where are the events, services, etc. , and apart from the schedule of restaurants and bars, there was nothing! Of course, you can say, learn languages, but we don’t know them! and there are more than enough people like us! but the workers are great, they try to understand, and in principle our modest knowledge of a mixture of German and English was enough for us! We often went to the sea by boat, very convenient and interesting! There is also minigolf, unlike last year's hotel, it's free! Two herons live on the territory of the hotel, they are small, but cute!

We got out of the hotel several times - we went with my mother to Senzo, Karkusha and El Zahra! The impression of Hurghada is also positive, but we drove with some apprehension, but everything is peaceful and calm! The locals are very friendly, we met the only freak (an outright boor), even my mother was scared by the bastard, but everything worked out! Opposite the hotel there is a store "Cleopatra", there are fixed prices, no need to bargain, and almost everything that we bought there was much cheaper than in the shops where they are traded! on the right hand of Cleopatra, a few shops away there is a shop with handmade carpets made of silk, wool and something else, I could not resist and bought a couple, very beautiful!
My husband and eldest son went on a morning safari, rode quad bikes, watched the zoo in the Bedouin village. I liked it very much, although you can ride quads from the age of 16 and my son was a little upset that he had to go with his dad together! They also went all together in a boat with a transparent bottom, like the Bathyscaphe is called, to the coral reef. It’s also great, I was impressed by the huge variety of fish, corals and, in general, all the underwater beauty! As a gift for the purchase of two excursions, we were given (almost a gift, we paid extra $ 10) a trip to the show "1000 and 1 Night". Of course, you can watch it once, but for the full price it would be a pity for the money. very large playground, viewing places far away and behind glass. liked the departure of acrobats on horseback. I was pleased with the departure with the flags of the countries using the Picalbatros hotels - France, Germany, Italy and Russia, to the tune of "Katyusha" !! ! Interestingly, did the Germans also watch a performance to this music? : -)
Guides from Teza were at the hotel every day, morning and evening, solving any issue. Right at the entrance to the hotel there is a bank branch with a normal course. Also, the hotel has an artist on the embankment, two photographers go. Everyone was invited to the animation to the Havana Club, but we didn’t go and I can’t say anything about this place.
In general, I liked the rest very much, only on the last evening we all (three adults) got poisoned with wine, everyone felt bad in the morning, I was sick for a couple more days! although I drank less milestones - just one glass. Yes, and we drank there only three times and only red wine. husband tried rum and cola and beer. he said about beer that it is similar to ours, but ours is tastier!
I recommend the hotel to everyone! There is something for everyone to enjoy. The return trip was half an hour faster, on a Boeing! It's been almost a week and I want to go back!
