To begin with, in Hurghada we rest with my wife 4 times. so the choice was conscious and very balanced. There was only one desire - to buy 2 weeks of SUMMER in the middle of winter for money. we are cheaters, in short.
Accordingly, I wanted to get the most for my hard-earned money. Therefore, before the trip, we smoked reviews for a long time and tediously. We settled on Dana.
Because this was far from our first trip - we were not interested in any excursions (except for corals !!! ), respectively, and I will not describe anything other than the hotel.
Settlement.
We arrived early in the morning. At 9:00 we were already at the hotel. according to the standards - check-in from 14.00. But we were given a room already at 11. Perhaps the "blame" is not a very high season, when there are free rooms, but I want to believe that this is still a "care" : -).

But even while we were waiting for check-in, they hung bracelets on us and said that we could go to eat right now. which we failed to take advantage of.
Immediately we got a not very good room - the windows did not open, and there was no desire to open them - there was a balcony-passage outside the window (people were constantly rummaging around in their rooms). pleasure is below average - you don’t look like nothing - they can look into the windows. In the morning we asked to change the room - we were first given exactly the same, only in a different building, and after the "hints" to the balcony - they gave us a normal room with a balcony! It was the only disappointment during the stay.
Territory.
the area is huge. and VERY (!!! ) well-groomed! a lot of greenery, the lawn is just in perfect condition. one gets the impression that the gardener knows every blade of grass and every bush by name and patronymic. and the tech has a pedigree. The paths were constantly scrubbed by staff in the morning. And once they watched a guy with a brush sail a 100-meter track for half a day.
On the territory there are 3 heated pools (1 children with slides + 2 adults). On days when the north wind was blowing and there was no desire to go to the sea, they swam in the pool. Separate words deserves a children's pool. A "lifeguard" was always on duty near him, who watched the kids. and not nominally, like ours, he dozed in the shade, but actually turned circles around the pool, whistled at especially zealous backbiters and even played with them (they chased him and splashed him with water! ). Who travels with children - can quite safely leave the child under the supervision of the "uncle" and sleep (or get drunk) nearby in a sun lounger.
Much has already been written about the boat and the river. I confirm everything - there is a boat, it runs from 8 am to 22.00 Whoever wants to save calories is always welcome! : -)
Staff.
The staff is well trained, welcoming and extremely friendly! At any moment, meeting you will be asked with a smile - "Is everything okay? "

Did you go to a restaurant to eat? a boy will immediately run up and ask what you want to drink? A small remark - I'm sitting in a restaurant, having lunch. There is a bottle of beer on the table. a waiter runs past, without saying a word, grabs a bottle from me, tops up a glass of beer "to the full", pushes a bucket of ice to the table, puts the bottle in the bucket, smiles and runs away to himself further!
Or also a small "picture" - a boy with a mop stood near the entrance to the toilet on the beach. Like a doorman. He smiled at everyone who came in and rushed to wash the floor almost every 5 minutes.
And it doesn't matter what restaurant / bar / place you are in - the staff is equally friendly everywhere!
The cleaner of our room, for example, when checking in, beat himself in the chest with his fist and said that for any problem, you don’t need a reception - contact me directly! On the second day, he already adjusted to our schedule (in the morning we left the room - breakfast + beach, returned at 14 and slept until 16. Therefore, until 14 the room was already licked. ) True, "tips" were left daily!
On the beach in the morning, the beach boy met, helped move the deck chair, cover the towels, put up a fence.
Restaurants (food).
Let me tell you - great. varied, delicious, fresh. traditionally a lot of sweets. Children can be fucked. loads of yoghurts/breakfasts in the morning, etc. Strawberries were given regularly. Fried shrimp. King prawns were often served. 2 restaurants serve ice cream. Wine - bottled (you can take a bottle and go to drink in your room, on the beach, by the pool... in short, anywhere. The only thing that is "takeaway" is paper cups, not glass.
The beach bar provided everyone with ice buckets - people who sat far from the bar stocked up with such buckets of beer / juice bags / bottles of wine for the whole day. In the same restaurant, food was being prepared from about 11-12 o'clock. basically "grill" + french fries. everything could be taken with you in plastic containers.
Leisure.
not to paint a lot - tennis. (big and small), mini golf, balls played on the beach (I don't know the name - like cricket). Children were shown cartoons (even in 3D with glasses), arranged all sorts of entertainment programs with fakirs, etc.

Near the lobby in the evenings they prepared excellent Irish coffee (with rum on fire). naturally free. Played live music. There was billiards in the jazz bar, in another bar people played poker, in sports bars they constantly played football on a huge screen (the Germans loved to watch it with beer). There is a children's and adult disco. Big playground!
I will say this - for 2 weeks we did not try even 50% of all entertainment.
And one more nuance - even the guides, speaking of "dan", treated us somehow more respectfully. Like "oh, you're from" given ".... good choice. " I repeat - I speak as a person who has been to Hurghada for the 4th time. There is a difference in attitude.
