We were in Egypt for the first time in May 2010, before that we had a rest in Turkey. We compared all the time, in Turkey we liked it better. But there is no such amazing sea as the Red Sea, it is beyond competition! ! !
We were taken from the airport to the hotel in a large air-conditioned bus. We didn’t ride a big bus in Egypt anymore. We rested in the Triton Empire Hotel 3 *. We didn't have to wait long for our room. The one that was offered, we did not like. It had windows overlooking the pool inside the hotel. And we paid $10 for another one. Excellent number - 625! It is located on the bend of the building and therefore consists of a hall and a bedroom, for the two of us it was just huge. The windows overlook the road leading to the beach. You can see the sea well. The negative was that right under our windows there is a bar called Cacao Pub, where music rumbled every day until 2 am. And once there was a fight and they yelled until 4 in the morning. Sleep was very difficult.
True, this bar is excellent, then we ourselves had fun in it almost until the morning. The room has a small old TV with one Russian first channel, a refrigerator, a shower, no hair dryer, a safe, a table with two chairs on the balcony. The air conditioner is located directly above the bed, it is large and powerful, the room cooled well, but also buzzed all the time. Cleaned up every day. We left 1-2 pounds each, we changed both linen and towels. They made swans out of blankets and towels. The staff is friendly. At the reception, we had conflict situations with them a couple of times, but they immediately tried to extinguish them and fulfilled our requests.

The hotel is located on the second coastline, it does not have its own beach, we went to Triton Empire Beach. It's not far, 5-10 minutes walk. The beach is small for two hotels. Without slippers, it is better to enter the sea from the left side, since the bottom is sandy there. On the right - the bottom is rocky, it hurts my legs. There are also a lot of hedgehogs, you can prick yourself.
We immediately bought slippers for swimming in a local store and this did not bother us anymore. Mattresses and towels free of charge on hotel cards. On the beach offered aerobics, aqua aerobics, volleyball. The sea is amazing! If you swim from the pier, fish of different colors, shapes and sizes are clearly visible.
We had all-inclusive meals, breakfast and dinner at Triton Empire, lunch at Triton Empire Beach. Breakfast is standard - pancakes, scrambled eggs, cereal with milk, croissants, pastries, vegetables, only sour grapefruits, oranges, melon and watermelon a couple of times, grapes once. For lunch, both meat and fish were offered. Lasagna, pasta with minced meat. From drinks: gin, rum, vodka, beer. There was no wine. A bottle of wine at the hotel costs £.80, champagne £.183. The ambush is complete! I can hardly do without both, strong alcohol and beer are not for me. I only drank rum and cola.
We bought excursions from the hotel guide and on the street.

We bought for $100 (for two) a yacht trip to dolphins and coral reefs. Fairytale tour! ! ! We were lucky, the dolphins swam to us. There were a lot of them and they popped up often. Then we counted 25 of them in the photo. Just fantastic! They caught fish. Also lucky, the tourists caught 5-6 pieces of colorful fish. For the purchase of this tour, a sightseeing tour of Hurghada was provided to us for free. You can go. Not very comfortable in the minibus, but it had air conditioning. Another excursion was a desert motorcycle safari on quad bikes and camel rides. Fine! Only too much - 5 hours - out of habit. My arm hurt for two days after. We paid $100 for four. We visited the aquarium. It is located near Triton Empire Beach. For 15 pounds per person and 15 pounds for video, we looked at sharks, moray eels, rays, turtles and various fish. On the submarine Sindbad Submarine ($100 for two) descended to the seabed. You can see the fish there!
The diver hand-fed them right at our window. Very interesting!
We were pleased to visit the most popular fish restaurants among tourists, El Mina and Star Fish. Hurghada unpleasantly struck us with the amount of garbage that lies right on the roads and is not removed by anyone. You come across these heaps at almost every step. We never saw any trash cans. There are urns, but they are very small. There are many taxis in the city. There are almost no traffic lights. There are no pedestrian crossings either. To cross the road, you need to turn your head 360 degrees. For pedestrians, they do not slow down, only in front of speed bumps. Despite the lack of traffic rules, we have not seen them have a single accident! ! ! Hurghada was not the best place to get acquainted with Egypt. And next time we will go to Sharm El Sheikh.
