"Hawaii Riviera Resort" is an artificial oasis in the desert, immersed in greenery, with its own menagerie. For the hotel, the main criterion after the Red Sea with its coral reefs and colorful fish is, artificially recreated by man, the territory of a small Paradise in the desert. Unfortunately, Hurghada, unlike Sharm El Sheikh, is not famous for the unique beauty of the coastal coral reefs and the abundance of the inhabitants of the underwater world. But the territory of the hotel, apparently as a sign of compensation for the lack of original corals and fish, is made with amazing beauty and careful study of even the smallest details. I had the feeling that I was in a fairy-tale box, which is both externally attractive in its appearance and internal content. Moreover, all types are not only a speculative impression, but also awaken the feelings of the Soul! And this is the highest aerobatics of the Artist-designer and planner.
Here he conveyed his Soul, his feelings, so that we could perceive them and enjoy them.
Lobby. In any hotel there are three reference points by which you can judge 90% of the hotel. These are: Lobby, Main Restaurant and Grounds. And in the first place is the Vestibule, the main entrance to the hotel, the porter service (reception) - exactly what every resort visitor first of all gets acquainted with when checking in. It's like the face of the hotel. And this first impression most strongly cuts into consciousness and is remembered for a long time.
Externally, the main building is presentable, at the level of world standards. One would like to compare its mirrored golden facade with some kind of international center in one of the non-secondary capitals of the world.
The lobby itself gleams with dozens of lamps in mirror-polished natural stone (marble, granite, etc. ).
) and instilled in the Soul a feeling of a certain splendor and immediately lifts the mood, despite all the hardships of a thousand-kilometer flight from continent to continent.
At the entrance to the lobby, there is a large pyramidal glass counter with various multi-colored soft drinks. It is no longer considered a curiosity to have breakfast on the day of arrival at the hotel and even check-in immediately after breakfast.
Settlement. The check-in procedure is standard, as in all hotels. The hotel has rooms with a view of the solid wall (Horror! ) or the buildings under construction of the neighboring hotel. And this problem was solved by introducing the Promo Room category. Although, surprisingly, at the time I purchased the tour from Anex tour, the price of these two categories of rooms was the same.
Rooms.
All rooms in the hotel are freshly renovated. And the repair was made of high quality, as we used to call it, - "European-quality repair", as if they had just done it yesterday.
And the furniture - not new, but restored - from massive natural wood of dark brown color. Only the built-in three-leaf wardrobe, against the backdrop of an excellent repair, is a little different in its gloomy look.
The rooms are cleaned thoroughly before check-in. When you enter such a room, it smells of freshness and novelty, and you can’t believe that an hour or two ago they lived here and not always with dignity ...
The more prestigious floors in this hotel are the floors above the third and the rooms, as close as possible to the ends of the six-story residential buildings (to the sea), moreover, inside the hotel courtyard - there is both a view of the pool and a side view of the sea. The worst rooms are in the left wing of the buildings with windows on the outside of the hotel, where the construction of a neighboring hotel has been “frozen” for several years due to the resort crisis in Egypt.
The view from the windows of the right wing of the buildings to the outside of the hotel is not much better - there, just twenty meters away, is the building of the neighboring hotel “Hawaii Le Jardin Resort & Aqua Park Resort” 5 *. The only joy is that you can watch what your neighbors are doing in bed. But the sad thing is that the neighbors can also watch your tricks in bed.
The beds in the rooms are large and massive, high. Their massiveness does not allow them to move, even with special activity on them. The soundproofing in the rooms is excellent, you can't hear your neighbors at all. Bathroom with toilet - no remarks. Separate shower with curtain, liquid soap and shampoo in dispensers. There is no bidet, but the toilet is combined.
The balconies in the rooms are of a special original form, as an interesting and practical solution of the architect-designer. When you are in your room, you see from the window closer or further residential buildings.
But as soon as we went out onto the balcony, any balcony above the third floor offers a view of the sea - due to the turn of the balconies towards the sea and the deepening of one of the sides deep into the room.
Territory. The total area of the territory is only 2.5 hectares.
Guests have access to the grounds of the neighboring hotel Hawaii Le Jardin but cannot use the main restaurant and bars. This expands the opportunities for vacationers to increase the territory of recreation and entertainment several times (water park, disco, evening animation shows, beach, bars, etc. ).

And this is with a hundred or more diners at the same time (let me remind you that the capacity of the main restaurant is 460 seats! ). But the main thing at lunch is not beer, cocktails and spirits, but still dishes. And a little more about them.
Cold appetizers, vegetables and salads. All kinds of sandwiches and sandwiches on skewers, meat, vegetable and cheese slices individually and in various combinations, portioned in small saucers and in a free layout, etc. - are displayed on two glass slides next to vegetables and salads - choose any to your taste.

Moreover, the most delicious and original meat dishes, including branded ones, are displayed separately - in the middle of the hall in large shiny stainless steel vats and even on a spit, decorated in the form of a carcass of a sheep or a turkey in foil, which gives lunch or dinner a special festiveness and solemnity. And for each dish there is a chef who takes out a huge piece of meat from this vat and cuts you as much as you want, without restrictions! If you like the dish, and you master everything, you can come up a second time, and a third ...
Fish of such dishes: “Tyazhin from fish”, Grilled fish (soft and tender, melts in your mouth - happens every day, but has not become boring in eight days - so delicious! ). Grilled and fried fish of several kinds. Once there was also a delicacy fish, such as sea bass, which was given out by the cook in doses.
Seafood was every day: for lunch, mostly squid, grilled with vegetables, and for dinner - king prawns, sometimes - crabs!
I also counted more than ten side dishes of all kinds. At lunch, there is such a variety of cakes and pastries that it starts to ripple in the eyes. And the hand involuntarily reaches for a camera or a mobile phone in order to fix all this beauty as a keepsake.

Provided that you have an “All inclusive” food system and you have free and unlimited free access to these resort benefits. True, at the word “free”, especially when it is pronounced on this or any other occasion by the hotel staff, and, even more so, at the somewhat offensive word “freebie”, I get indignant: “There is nothing free and “freebie” at the resort it doesn’t happen: everything is paid for, and even overpaid with a margin, “with a hike”! »

Red Sea in Hurghada. I always evaluate the sea from two positions. Is it convenient to swim in it and is it comfortable to sunbathe on the shore? And also: is it possible to enjoy the contemplation of the underwater world through a mask? Most Sharm El Sheikh hotels pass both of these tests. But Hurghada ...The hotel has its own sandy beach with a length of 200 meters. The width of the beach strip is different: from ten meters at the beach pool to fifty meters in front of the menagerie. Entrance to the sea by stairs with stainless steel railings or by a new pontoon, 90 meters long. The pontoon, although plastic, is more stable on the water, especially when the sea is rough in pre-storm weather, because it is assembled not from small segments, but from large, the entire width of the pontoon blocks.
I explored literally every meter of the coral reef, found and photographed the most interesting specimens of corals.
It turns out that if you search well, you can find beautiful corals anywhere in the Red Sea in Hurghada. But there are very few of them here and most of all in the direction of the AMC Royal Hotel and its long wooden pontoon. Here I also found two small colored (bright blue with a white transverse stripe) fish - the only ones on almost a kilometer long coral. All other fish here are sand-colored and almost transparent, sometimes they come across black.
The corals here are 90% dead and covered in muddy green aquatic plants. Only occasionally come across bright green algae. The bottom of the sea, stones and corals are covered with silt from dead algae, and therefore during the ebb and flow, when a current is created along the coral reef, the water becomes cloudy, with a visibility of no more than one meter, and it is almost impossible to photograph distant objects of the underwater world.
And so I had to, almost with my stomach, plow the corals in order to photograph them at low tide from a close distance. What do you have to sacrifice and what dangerous situations to get into, just to satisfy your research passion!
Wandering among the dead corals and looking for even the slightest bit of interesting things in troubled waters, you involuntarily recall the clear water with a visibility of 20 meters and clouds of colorful fish (especially when you feed them), as well as the Red Sea corals off the coast, amazing in shape and colors. Sharm El Sheikh. And it's nearby, literally a hundred kilometers in a straight line across the bay. Evening entertainment on the Red Sea.
Every night here is festive and all in lights and illuminations, like New Year's. Until late at night, joyful, and even excessively loud voices of vacationers are heard here (but this is the natural mentality of our “young” people who have drunk too much), the clatter of glasses of alcohol with each other and on the glass tops of night bars and constant jogging with empty glasses from the terrace to Lobby bar and back - with full, and for the whole company.
Such activity of vacationers does not last long - only until 24:00, when the "All inclusive" system terminates.
Our people, not to the joy of the bartender of the round-the-clock Lobby bar, are prudent and economical and are not used to overspending when there are hours of "free" drinking. And, most importantly, he manages to get so drunk “to the eyeballs” before the “X” hour that there is nowhere else to go ...And so the bartender will have to be bored until ten in the morning without clients and without tips ...And the Chinese, who since March begin to massively flood resorts of Hurghada, there are few hopes: either they don’t drink alcohol at all, or they go to bed early in Eastern time, but in the evenings and at night I didn’t see a single Chinese in bars, especially a drinker ...
