This is not the first time in Egypt, hotels have always chosen different "star" and the Festival turned out to be the worst option I have visited. The hotel is not five stars, maximum 3+ (Compared to hotels in Ukraine of the same category, the Festival is still cooler =)). I’ll write about what I saw, and it’s up to you to decide what you should pay attention to, and what is completely a trifle.
1. The hotel is 20 minutes drive from the airport and 10-15 minutes. from the city by taxi or minibus.
2. Settlement. We had a check-in at 9 in the morning, they promised to give out bracelets at 12, and to settle at 14. At the meeting, we were not treated to hibiscus, there was no juice or a simple cooler with water in the hall, or rather it was standing, but the glasses were given out only to people with bracelets. You could treat yourself to a cola for $2 at the lobby bar. Check-in began with the issuance of bracelets at 12 o'clock without surcharges and requests.

3. The room is clean, small. Safe, minibar (with daily free replenishment of a bottle of water) is available. Cleaned daily, for towels it was sometimes necessary to remind, but changed without delay. The view from the window can be on a construction site (above the third floor does not really matter) and the sea, the pool or the windows of a neighboring hotel.
4. Restaurant. They didn't starve. Three types of rice, spaghetti, liver or beef stew, fish and baked vegetables in abundance. From fruits - dates, tasteless melon and watermelon, green pomegranate (out of season, reasonably), oranges. But every day the same set of dishes, a little upset. One morning, tomatoes were added to an omelet and for one of the dinners, various beauties were carved on watermelons - from the sights of the restaurant - that's all. The package includes one dinner at an a la carte restaurant. We visited Italian, where we ate sooo delicious fish with potatoes and vegetables, fish soup, tiramisu for dessert. Everything is quite tasty and nice.
5. Animation was present, more by the pools and very modestly, so if you want to jump, then watch the time of the animation you are interested in and come yourself at the appointed time.
6. Sea. There is no sea. The one that I know, saw and in which the sea is in love to death is missing. There are shallows 10-15 meters from the shore, it is picturesque there at low tide, you can sunbathe and take pictures. The tide is constantly rising or falling, the water is muddy, there is no living coral, a few colorless fish and a couple of lost jellyfish - all the beauties that we managed to see.
There is a pantone near the Amr Hotel, but there the security does not let people from Sunrise and the Festival. We went by sea, there are several stairs from the water, you can sunbathe and swim.
I didn't like the hotel. We went to Star Fish for a tasty meal, to the market at the beginning of the old town for fruit, and to swim for diving. I won't recommend this hotel to anyone.
