This hotel was a family of three in the first half of November 2012.
This was the 7th hotel in Egypt, so there is something to compare.
There are far more negative memories of the hotel than positive ones.
We drove by roulette from Turtes, the intended hotel was supposed to be Serenity Makadi, but we got into this one.
The first impression was negative, when asked about the possibility of moving to another hotel, the guide replied that there were no places in other hotels, but most likely he did not find out anything. Operators are trying to sell this hotel quite expensive, there are a lot of other 5-ok much cheaper, but the hotel frankly does not pull on that money.
The main disadvantages, although many of them have already been listed in other reports:

1. Rooms are quite small (25 sq. m). Therefore, if you are traveling with children who will sleep separately, then you are clearly not here, because. an extra bed takes up all the free space in the room, and it becomes problematic to walk, you have to move this extra bed every time. bed.
2. For 11 days of stay at the hotel, the bed was not changed at all. The order of changing towels remained a mystery. Sometimes they changed every day, sometimes every other day. Moreover, towels were collected in the morning, and new ones could only be brought in late in the evening (wipe yourself as you wish).
3. The hotel lobby, where there was Wi-Fi, is terribly smoky, both by tourists and staff. It seems that the understanding of the prohibition of this muck in public places has not yet reached the Egyptians.
4. Food in the restaurant can be called bad, if not disgusting. Not only for breakfast, but sometimes for lunch and dinner it was impossible to choose something normal from food (half of the dishes were prepared only so that there were no empty places on the distribution tables. The vaunted Egyptian sweets were extremely poor in choice, repeated every day and every meal. Meat dishes were undercooked every other time - hard, that it was impossible to chew, or undercooked (raw). Only the fruit table pleased. I probably have not eaten so many pomegranates in my entire past life.
Dishes were constantly in short supply, there were queues everywhere, the dishes were often poorly washed. My wife and I, despite all the forethought in choosing food, got poisoned quite badly, the consequences of which disappeared only upon arrival home.
5. The territory of the group of hotels is really large, but during the day you won’t walk in the heat, and in the evening everything was watered with sewage water. The stench was strong.

6. There are a lot of a la carte restaurants, but it’s hard to get into them, as a limited number is issued for the hotel. To register, you need to come to the reception at 11-00, at the height of the day. You have to either sit in the hotel or return from the beach. But they, these restaurants are not worth the time at all. The dishes served in them are no better than the main restaurants, and the choice is very small, and you have to go and collect them yourself. Don't waste your time. Unless they praised the German restaurant, but I didn’t have a chance to visit it.
We went to dinner at Paradise several times, and not at the last hour of work, as stated. Nobody kicked out. The choice of dishes is a little better than in Emerald.
7. Beach towels were taken only 2 times. They are brought in very few and they are wild gray.
8. On the beach, despite its length, there are still not enough places, either because of the old Russian habit of running to take places at 6 in the morning, or because of the insufficient number of sunbeds. I had to walk to the other end of the beach.
9. The beach has several sandy passages between corals. The beach is sandy. Perhaps that is why there are many people with small children who constantly yell and howl, which is very annoying.
10. If you love the Red Sea for corals and fish, then you are a little out of this place. Of course they are, but no comparison with the coast of Sharm. Plus, because of the sandy shore, the sea is almost constantly muddy.
11. The slides are poorly docked, there are no rugs in sight, so it’s unsightly to ride, you can peel off the skin or tear the bathing suits (although the kids ride with might and main).
The weather is no longer warm enough. It was cloudy for several days and it rained at times. And in recent days the wind has become quite cool, and in the afternoon it was quite uncomfortable to swim and sunbathe.
General opinion about the hotel - The hotel management builds its policy on the fact that the hotel is designed for a Russian tourist "from Tagil", who "grabs" everything and for him this is the ultimate dream, because he has not seen anything better in life.
Therefore, if you are faced with a choice of hotels from several, and one of them will be Emerald or any other of the Goldens, then choose some other better!
